      Hmmm...nope!
      6.1 is your best option to build on. Add a couple lbs of boost to a 6.4 and the longevity tanks. Add boost to a 6.1 and she dominates and sounds the best.

      Without a complete rebuild of forged internals and all supporting components...no!
      The 5.7 motor lacks and leaves alot to be desired.

    The 5.7 is a great engine , the problem is that it's stifled from the factory through the throttle body , the intake , the exhaust manifold and the cats . Take care of those issues and a tune , You'll have a nice running 5.7 ! Add a head and cam package and You can play with scats ! My last MOPAR was a 2020 scatpack shaker , and I would by an R/T in a Heartbeat !

    Yeah you can squeeze good numbers id would say 430whp at least just from what I’ve seen you do in this video nice, nice.

      Nope. You won’t even break 400 without aftermarket cam

      2022 300S 5.7 320 WHP no mods
      Ported 6.4 Manifold- 20 HP
      Afe momentum intake- 10 HP
      Borla ATAK-20 HP
      Kooks Longturns- 20 HP
      3.09 LSD
      Thats 390 WHP with just bolt ons before a tune and no cam isn’t it?

    My 2021 Durango RT, Tow N Go with just an AFE intake did 323 Wheel on a Mustang Dyno. So 357 isn't too bad for just stock tune and headers.

      Nope not bad at all. This is actually the best results I’ve seen. I did the same comparison on a truck.. and the stock tune did WAAAY worse

    How much hp do you think a 5.7 5 speed would make if it had 1 7/8th bbk headers and a 6.4 cam?
    And is it worth it to even upgrade the 5.7 if there is the 6.4? I have a 5.7 and I havnt upgraded anything in a while bc it feels pointless sometimes to be upgrading this car that only got 290-330 whp. As much as I would love to upgrade it, I see a stock 6.4s beat a fbo/cammed 5.7s that spent 2-3k on upgrades and it just got me like 😐.

      Boost is the only thing that will help a 5.7 beat a 6.4.. the 6.4s have 100hp advantage from the jump

    Great video brother. Wish you were in Texas! Just got a ‘23 RT Blacktop and am very pleased with the way this 5.7 drives and feels. Perfect blend of muscle, fun & comfort. Really, really want to do headers, CAI and tune.
    Questions
    Did a mid muffler delete. If I do headers, CAI & Tune would I be ok just leaving the mid muffler delete or would a performance exhaust like Borla ATAK or Corsa extreme be better for the mods I mention above.
    Also. How how you counseled guys like me who are scared to do these mods because warranty will be out the window. Thanks

      Sorry forgot to ask how CAI, Long tube headers and Tune will affect MPG. Averaging 20.7 currently and very pleased with that.

      You can keep mpg the same with a tune.
      In my opinion, mid muff delete is sufficient. My personal scat has headers, high flow cats and no mid mufflers and it is the perfect sound. Loud and deep, but not obnoxious and there is no drone

    I have a 2021 Challenger RT that I plan on installing long tune headers next spring. Did you half switch out the PCM? I was told that any 5.7 2015 or later requires a PCM unlock on top of a tune!

    Not sure how you only picked up 6 peak whp going from that rich to what I assume you left it at which is around 12.8(.88). Fueling alone should have been worth more even without any timing advance…I would think anyway.
    Is that on 87 pump? I have 18.5 degrees of peak timing on my 6.1 which is also boosted btw… 8 psi…but I’m on 94 octane. Also, did you play with vct? Cheers

      It’s still on 91… I was a little shocked as well. But definitely happy with the results as I normally see 330s on stock 5.7s

      Depends on end goal. The compcam stage 2 cam does really well for a nice hp increase and daily driver friendly

      Cam, headers, e85 will get you to the 400 mark or past it depending on cam selection and tune

      normally the 300’s are nerffed around 360 for factory we chargers make 370 and challengers make 375 but yea normally,must be your tune ain’t right

      370 is rated to the crank. This is in wheel hp. 370 whp is about 400-410 crank

    95% sure the 5.7 was rated at 400hp-410tq crank not 370. 370 is the gen 1 hemi

    Would never waste money on a 5.7. I've watched fully built and cammed 5.7 hemis get bullied by stock scats and SS camaros. Sure they sound nice but that's about all they have to offer. My old 2011 Volvo C30 daily walked a 5.7 charger 😅

      6.4 makes 100 more hp and 100 more torque from the factory. Aint not “built” 5.7 that is cammed with bolt ons going to win that.. why? Because a cam bolt on set up doesn’t gain 100 hp #facts. For reference, stock scats on this dyno make about 440

      Bruvvvvvvv look up any stock 5.7 dyno.
      I don’t have time to strap. A car on the dyno, then unstrap it lol
