  • @AlessandroVolta1

    I look at it like this. The RT is great if you would normally be buying aa Accord, Camry, Or any of the base Euro sedans, the RT is an awesome choice and has a way bigger trunk , bigger seats and is way more fun and feels more powerful. Also since the RT is only lowered a 1/2 inch more than a SXT, you can still drive it if you live somewhere with potholes and snow covered roads like northern Pennsylvania. The other thing is regular gas which saves me some $s. If I lived in a state with good roads and cheap gas I’d be driving a Scat.

    • @brandonrainbolt7382
      @brandonrainbolt7382 Месяц назад

      I like my RT. I don't really drive over 90 at anytime. But I do like to get there pretty quick. I do want some more power. Once the warranty is up I'm going to Whipple charge it. So I'll be close to 500 hp and have lower insurance. It's a give and take for each situation like you said.

    I total agree with you, I used to have a 2018 Scat Pack Charger and I loved that car but of course was just itching for more power so went with the Hellcat Charger. After having the Hellcat for about a year its true the scat pack is the most bang for the buck. When driving around I want to always just mash the gas in the hellcat but here in California (Pre-quarantine) is always traffic and just nowhere for me to use the power unless I track it but as a daily just eats up gas like crazy Avg is about 11 to 12 mpg. Scat pack is the perfect balance of price and power!

    I love how unlike a lot of other reviews out there that I've seen, you actually factor in the cost of ownership. I'm looking at a challenger for a daily driver and commuter, so in my case I'd be a lot more inclined towards the Scatpack due to things like insurance, fuel costs, maintenance costs and good ol' depreciation. For my situation, things like that are a little more important than the whole "this one has this kind of track suspension setup and that's why you should spend $25,000 more on it" lol

    IMO
    5.7 - Great intro to the v8 community. You get enough power to have fun and it sounds good
    6.4 - Is the best spot to be at for some good runs and all that good stuff
    6.2 - Well its just another story, fast af 😂

    • @nkjellman
      @nkjellman 4 года назад +13

      I agree with that.
      Though to add, if you're looking for the modding experience, the 5.7 is the way to go. That thing is bottle necked from the factory, and every mod is going to gain more power compared to a stock 5.7. If you wanna put a blower on the car, but don't wanna pay for a Hellcat, the 5.7 is definitely safer to do that with.

Coming from a 2015 SRT 392 which was involved in an accident I am faced to get a Challenger Scat Pack Widebody or Hellcat. I followed the same path. I started with a R/T Shaker and found it lacking in power. I upgraded to the Challenger Scat Pack 6 speed manual; it was a terrific car. I was itching to have a Hellcat and pulled the trigger 5 months later. Although the Hellcat was a thrill to own and drive ( not as a primary car) I felt that it was like dancing the tango with a 400 pound bipolar woman. I sold it 18 months later and purchased a well equipped 2019 Charger Scat Pack with the Dynamics Package ( Hellcat brakes and wheels). The Scat Pack is an excellent value proposition with just the right amount of power and practicality. I’ve owned many cars and still have an assortment of cars. The Scat Pack is my favorite. I personally like the lower cars like the rt scat and 5.7 rt. There is much more customization opportunities that I can do. I do everything to my car and there is more of a joy to that to me than just buying the car. Point is it is YOUR car make it what you want.

      Greg Phillips if you’re getting a corvette the c8 is the way to go if you can find one around 70k. If you want a c7 the stingray and z51 2019 is around 50-60k the zo6 is 80-90k and the zr1 is 100k+ the stingray and z51 will give you around the same performance as your camaro the zo6 will give you camaro zl1 performance and the zr1 will compete with redeyes gt500s and demons. But so will the C8 corvette and you can get one around 70k right now so to me thats the way to go but its your choice

      My dad promised my mom a Corvette when he retired from GM, which he did. She wanted AN ALABABAMA, ROLL TIDE RED New one.. That was 2009, brand new off the lot. Is that a C6 9R A C7. I have tried to get him to race me and he want do it. There is so many things I want to do to my Camaro but i cant because it's still under warranty. It looks just like Bumblebee from Transformersm when i get it paid off, it's on. A supercharger is about 4,000 ain't it.

    I agree 100% with you about getting the S/P 6.4. Its a useable vehicle and mine will be in my garage next week after the ceramic coating, window tint and 3M is done. 2022 Midnight Black, Orange Edition.

    Love my 392 scatpack shaker package. Happy I got that and not the wide body. The shaker coming out of the hood is TOO cool and like the shape better.

    Excellent comparison. You're in a unique position to give advice on these 3 cars, since you drove them yourself. High Five! PS: I have a 392 ScatPack ;) just installed a DiabloSport iTune3 with a PCM swap. My tires are spinning in Gear 2 in Sport Mode. This is the next best thing to a HellCat. Next mod: long tube headers with ceramic coating. Thanks for the video!

    I've got a 2017 Z06 and I drove it on my first road trip in economy mode to compare economy to touring mode mileage. Going on the 230 mile trip in economy I got 26.0 mpg and I didn't Baby it. Coming back I used touring mode and definitely did not Baby it and got 25.5 mpg. I was pleasantly surprised since the rated mpg is 13/23. Picked it up in July of 2019 for 67k and it only had 1595 miles on it. Love the car, it is a beast with 650 hp/tq.

    I daily drive my 2018 HC challenger and absolutely love it . Fuel mileage around town is on par with my f150 4x4 but makes for a whole lot more fun commute ..
