I also have changed the nozzles on my fuel tanks. But I have a Diesel pickup that requires DEF. I found a battery operated transfer pump that costs around $20 and would transfer 5 gallons in a couple of minutes. It's diesel compatible .Amazon.

Very interesting, 👍only a pipe with soil, the acidity of the soil weakens the pipe, next time it is advisable to give it another sleeve of a large pipe for quick replacement + that it will not freeze in the snow

also use at least 3 in of rigid closed cell foam on outside

I really appreciate your videos and especially how you two (and family) work together. I expect you all have done the math, and are content in the way you all are doing this vs. having loads brought in. I have found the material is cheap but delivery is not, however factoring in fuel, time, wear and tear on vehicle and trailer would it not be better to have sand/gravel delivered? Is delivery not an option with your road or distance from gravel pit? Curious what factors you think about in these decisions.

Hi from the UK again. I have possibly a daft question - since you are gonna pour a slab over the top of the root cellar, how do you get into it ?
Is there gonna be a trap door sort of entry with a ladder down into it ?

Had BBQ Ray helping on my driveway. I had gotten roadbase that was made from cinders and caleche. Ray said instead I should have gotten Class 6 made with rock (basalt) as the cinders crush. May not matter for the root cellar but might matter for under the slab.

*Ah-Ha* Moments Joined by ( Pit Falls ) of Hidden Costs Equals what ?
SHIPPING and Handling Costs. ( Which both are about Planning and Over - Paying )
Today *YOU* Posted this clip of Hauling a Item that is Rampant on YOUR own property. The HUGE Difference between: Crushing, Sifting, Washing, and GRADING * Stone, Gravel, Rock, and Its By Products * is Like toilet paper being flushed away then brought back for use on any other day. WILL Explain. Even before YOU purchased this Land. A Plan was formed from a DREAM that Better things lye ahead. G R E A T ( FANTASTIC ) Way to Go * BUTT* with that also comes Hidden Figures like: Maintenance, Gas, Oil, Filters, Wear and Tear, Shall I keep avoiding what really needs to be said here ? Mechanical Advantages are the GLUE that Finds all the Cracks and Crevices alike. FILLING the GAPS in what is SPENT, SAVED, Pissed Away. ( 1-2-3 ) No one ever wants to hear ( I TOLD YOU SO ) yet , to often the kick in the seat of your pants is what gets the Brain Juices Flowing. Had a couple ask me one day. ( WHY ) do so many Developers Scrap off the top soil ( SELL IT ) then Expect *US* to buy it Back again ??? This is known as a By-Product of the Land Development Process. Digging holes and Filling in the Low spots. Think of a Triangle. What ever size fits you best. Point "A" to Point "B" then From back and Forth to what Some might call Point "C". Never lose a step by wasting Time and Money ( SHIPPING and Handling ) Cost. What you take from one area ( GETS ) used in another. What others want that you have in a Surplus? Pays for the items that would otherwise Sit on the way side getting in the way due to Having Way to MUCH !!! are you seeing this circle in the form of a Triangle now ??? The Voice of REASON is FULL of WISDOM from being there, Doing that, Helping Others ( Figure it out ) Before the Budget is blown and all your hard work then gets tossed out in stone transporting fees and worse. Break Downs of Vehicles and trailers.
