Hey guys, a quick tip ! You can switch your weapons at the gathering hall before you collect your rewards if you want to get a diff weapon ! Eg you used bow for the siege but want SnS.

Poison smoke bombs poison safi very easily. Don’t set up your build around poison for this siege. Walk with them and reapply it when it ends. Good luck Hunters! 👍🏽
@@fezzzost950 I'd imagine that once you've broken enough parts the extra poison tick damage you can get will help in burning through the final phase quickly. probably more of a speedrunner tactic than anything else

One tip on the delayed fireball she spits. If you keep an eye on her mouth, it's blue while it tracks you. Once it flashes bright blue it's done tracking you and will continue on your course that you were on when it turned brighter. So a easy consistent way to avoid it, is to run around in one direction until you see it turn bright blue, once it turns, reverse direction and dive/roll. 60% of the time, It works every time.

You can cancel Safi's ultimate by dealing high burst damage while it tries to fly up. For example landing helm breaker. It will then drop on the ground but will get up and try to fly up again. From my experience if you manage to cancel the ult 3 time in a row it will not attempt to cast it for some time.
Another way to tell if you're in range of the Emperors Saphire is if you still have the particle effects of the flames on you. It's not an end all be all method but it helps reassure your safety if you dont have vibration on
One correction, you lose health from Safi'jiiva armor set bonus even if your attacks don't connect with the monster, in a way it's like the bleeding debuff. Also many people (including myself) have experienced a damage check in the 3rd area of the Safi'jiiva siege, where if not enough damage is done to Safi'jiiva it will launch two Sapphire of the Emperor in a row destroying all the stone crags and leaving entire team vulnerable to the second Sapphire of the Emperor attack which basically wipes entire team.

I once fought savi. She unleashed the Saphire Star wiping All Cover to hide behing from the area. The she came down and My Team and me were beating the 💩 out of her. After about 10-15 seconds she took off once again to unleash the saphire Star attack. Problem was that there was no Cover. She did not use her Laser to shoot down the rocks. Well she did get a quadruple kill.
Two correction/things to add. You don't have to complete Reveal thyself, Destroyer. I didn't. You simply need to watch the cutscene and return quest and Across the Lost Path is unlocked. I think you can do the same with Across the Lost Path. Not sure. I heard. Not tested yet. You can FF14 jump Saafi sapphire of the Emperor the way you behemoth as a last resort if you can't make it or didnt do enough dps for crags to drop. Great guide though. Definitely learnt something about the ire.
Sieges are late game and supposedly secret fights. Rampages are part of the main game and story. Tho both World Sieges and Rise Rampages are oddities in the series. What we knew as Sieges before were big ass monsters trying to destroy something and you had to defend against them using cannons, ballistaes, dragonators and all that jazz. They had to be completed in a single run and usually featured exclusive items like the Binder Shots, Demolisher ammo and Anti Dragon Bombs. Zorah Magdaros is more similar to old-school Sieges but I'd say it does a rather poor job at it. At no point you fight it on foot, and climbing it is automatic so it barely feels like you're on it, it just looks like you're at a mountain.
Another thing to add is there are slopes in zone 2 for anyone running Affinity Slide and walls on the edges of the screen in zone 3 before she uses her nuke.
As dumb as it sounds in a game like Monster Hunter, my favourites are always the most 'dragon' like. There's so many unique and cool designs, but something about a simple 'dragon' look in a world that's so unique seems so cool to me.

1 year later after this comment and almost every time i join, i see lots lobbies with max players when i filter safi jiiva. there is also a mod which disables the steam region lock which trully shows every safi jiiva lobby in the world in game. not needed though.

Great sword should use part breaker and ko lv3 and focus on his front and back legs, get a hammer to smash his face and a gun to break the wings, need a mix of weapons to get the best results
The jiva blast gs is amazing for this run partbreaker 3 is a must on most builds and with a decent size lobby you should be able to get the kill in 2 trips. Also jiva mod for attack 5/6 and you beat the acidic glav gs in dbs

Honestly since monsters don’t necessarily have genders, whatever you want to call it goes. For example because Kulve Taroth is seen as more feminine so people tend to refer to her as “her.”

To fellow chargeblade users, how much damage do the phials do for you vs Safi? I'm using the base safi poison CB w/o any upgrades and he's only doing 63-70 damage with artillery 3 against Safi wtf
Clark Nebres certain phial types deal more phial damage as well as elemental match ups, since you’re using a poison aka non elemental you won’t be doing much phial damage but rather stun damage, as your phial is more than likely a power phial.
You need to talk to the Seeker again on Seliana, then you'll have a conversation with the other NPCs. After that, the Commander will appear and you need to talk to him. You will be redirected to the Safi Siege in the Hub.
i have a questions boiis, it doesn't show me the stats or the siege progression, i can just do the first level hunt, but nothing gets shown, just when you break a part or so. Not even when she's completed absorbing the first area
What's the difference between the recon quest (point of no return) and the actual seige? I ask because it doesn't allow me to do the "seige" but only lets me do recon. It doesn't show me research levels or anything like that.

Earlier today while i was in the safi siege, while i was wearing the temporal mantel in stage 1 i got 1shot by safi by his dragon breath when i was clutch clawing on it's head to weaken her hide, is that even possible? Plus i just wore the temporal mental too and when carted my character was still wearing the temporal mantel. Do you ever experience this before? Really like your videos btw, very informative. Cheers
What is meant with "your hub"? Whenever I play, no one ever joins in, does that mean I have to join someone else and play in their lobby? But then how do I consistently join into that person's particular lobby and what if that person is not online? I am kinda confused at this part.
@@cg-mr6dl this is kinda late, but you can set your online session preference specifically to safi jiva, and you should be able to find a big lobby of people doing the siege
I want to do this hunt but I effing hate multiplayer sieges. I hate the idea of doing the quest multiple times just to gather data before I can finally slay it, and it’s not even designed to solo. It irritates me

The siege should be in the hub or you need to talk to the right person. I don't remember which. Either way your real problem will be doing this off line. It's possible... but it'll take like 20 hrs. Not joking. They made sure it's impossible to farm solo.
Its so weird everytime i play with randoms 1 minute in he's already in the second level then 3 minutes later were at the bottom level, how the hell can i do that. Safi doesnt even drain anything or do his super attack on the first and second level.
I likes how u refer safi jiva as female but sadly i dont think its a female since capcom named the ultimate move Sapphire of the Emperor and emperor refer to king (just my opinion then)
The siege only appears at certain times depending on the rotation. As of right now, it just came back into rotation, after about a week of Kuvle Taroth. All you need to do is wait.
Looking for a little help here: I've heard you can attack Safi's back legs to move him in a certain direction (i.e. attack the back left leg to move him to his right). I want to try and consistently drop the rocks on him in the first area for that spicy 4k damage, how do some of you do it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you talk with the right people? Sometimes the person you're looking for is not in seliana but in astera. Or maybe it's because you missed something in the guiding lands?
@@dogesosa If this has something to do with the Guiding Lands then maybe there's something I didn't do, but all I found on tuto about unlocking this quest hadn't mentioned the Guiding Lands so I don't know, otherwise, I switch between Astera and Seliana a lot and nobody wants to talk to me, plus the NPC fot this quest even appears in Seliana a lot but he just doesn't want to give me this quest for some weird reasons
Just so you know you don't have to have completed the Rajang special assignment. Only the Stygian Zinogre one. I did the seige today but haven't beaten Rajang yet.
Missedher the first time will not be doing that again but it's also time for all my gear to be obsolete which is just If they had another enemy with weapons that function like hers I wouldn't have such a prIf they had another enemy with weapons that function like hers I wouldn't have such a problem with it but I've spent hours in master rank play building my collection building my gear and come to find out that her gear is so good everyone just uses her gear

Or if you dont wanna use poison smoke bombs use a farcaster and change your palicos weapon to a poison weapon after u break all parts

you can also flash it out in the air! However from what i know. Safi can't have any flash immunity or else you'll only prolong the attack

Have you tried the jump from the FF fight and see if that negates the damages?

You are right. Both of those Urgent quests don't need to be completed you just need to see the cut scenes

This Siege is garbage to complete solo but has a better reward system compared to AT KT

this event works in the same way as the kulve's, so it doesn't stay all the time

So the more times you hunt safi before it retreats, it will then be easier to kill?
Yes in that session you are in, so if you break her legs and fail the mission there is no need to go for legs in the second hunt

The recon is for training purposes, so you don't get anything for it. You need to take on the actual siege for farming it's parts.

I want to do this hunt but I effing hate multiplayer sieges. I hate the idea of doing the quest multiple times just to gather data before I can finally slay it, and it’s not even designed to solo. It irritates me

Hi guys I need help.I already complete Safi Recon and my MR is 76 but I stil can't Unlock The Safi Jiva Siege.What should I do to unlock the Siege? I play this game offline..
The siege should be in the hub or you need to talk to the right person. I don't remember which. Either way your real problem will be doing this off line. It's possible... but it'll take like 20 hrs. Not joking. They made sure it's impossible to farm solo.
Guys I want to ask I unlocked the safii jiiva recon. But how do I unlock the safii jiiva seige?
Its so weird everytime i play with randoms 1 minute in he's already in the second level then 3 minutes later were at the bottom level, how the hell can i do that. Safi doesnt even drain anything or do his super attack on the first and second level.
I wish I could get this done but I don’t have any friends that play this game. :(

The siege only appears at certain times depending on the rotation. As of right now, it just came back into rotation, after about a week of Kuvle Taroth. All you need to do is wait.
I did the rajang mishion the singer and Im over rank 24 and I did the recon what am I doing wrong

Looking for a little help here: I've heard you can attack Safi's back legs to move him in a certain direction (i.e. attack the back left leg to move him to his right). I want to try and consistently drop the rocks on him in the first area for that spicy 4k damage, how do some of you do it? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Bit late but I had a few people lure him there and then they seem to just shoot the rocks above and wham.

Can someone help me? I'm MR 104 and the quest "Across the lost path" still hadn't showed up, I did the Rajang and all but I can't access to this quest :/ Is this some kind of bug? I never found anything about that
Did you talk with the right people? Sometimes the person you're looking for is not in seliana but in astera. Or maybe it's because you missed something in the guiding lands?
@@dogesosa If this has something to do with the Guiding Lands then maybe there's something I didn't do, but all I found on tuto about unlocking this quest hadn't mentioned the Guiding Lands so I don't know, otherwise, I switch between Astera and Seliana a lot and nobody wants to talk to me, plus the NPC fot this quest even appears in Seliana a lot but he just doesn't want to give me this quest for some weird reasons

Everytime she does her aoe nuke special. It goes fast and faster the shiny crystal drop bomb. So be ware and aware my brothers and sisters hunter.

Just so you know you don't have to have completed the Rajang special assignment. Only the Stygian Zinogre one. I did the seige today but haven't beaten Rajang yet.
Try an ice bow build with shield on palico...it helped me :-) I found rajang impossible until i used the bow n now he is quite easy :-)
I'm stuck on the recon mission it won't let me slay it anyone help?
The siege is like Kulve Taroth siege it is only around every now and then
Edit:Also you have to beat the recon and talk to the seeker

Missedher the first time will not be doing that again but it's also time for all my gear to be obsolete which is just If they had another enemy with weapons that function like hers I wouldn't have such a prIf they had another enemy with weapons that function like hers I wouldn't have such a problem with it but I've spent hours in master rank play building my collection building my gear and come to find out that her gear is so good everyone just uses her gear

they want us to grind grind grind for the next month lol
I wish we got more dracolite lol but it’s still way better than kulve I have all the weapons I want just need them upgraded
@@chaddrusso8850 same, dracolite reward is decent but I need more to get all my weapons awakened. I only have 1 fully awakened, and 5 other that will have to wait while I get more dracolite...
Higher reward ranks give you more weapons and Dracolite, at reward level 13 I got to pick 4 weapons rather than thr usual 3.
