Thankfully these moves are not important for the Lance, probably explains why I forgot about them, but here they are: When you are sliding downhill with your weapon sheathed: CTRL(guard button) will allow you to block while sliding down(if u hold guard), but if you let go of guard it continues into dash attack. Left Mouse gives you advancing jump, it continues into dash attack unless you use advancing jump thrust. I always talk about sliding attacks in every guide, I have no idea why it slipped my mind this time 🤷♂

But how you explain controls are highly accurate and is followed by actual feedback. I genuinely feel being educated. Thus leading people to apply this as a criteria for advanced hunting just as in mad movies. On top of that I’ve never seen someone tag the control keys for every platform until now. I look forward for ‘Wilds’ guides from you in the coming future.

I started on MH Rise and enjoyed the lance through to endgame. I'm late to MH World and figured I'd go for Charge Blade as it's mechanically simpler in World. Watching this has made me fall in love with the Lance again! Thank you!

Cool guide dude! I only played worlds when it first came out but I didnt play much of ib. I am picking it up now because I am really hyped for wilds. I am picking up lance because I liked it in rise but I can tell there are some differences. I really enjoy the counter thrust playstyle though!
Nice guide. Only thing missing is that advancing jump thrust has 360 aim. Mount attempts are very safe as you can dash to a monster's flank and poke sideways at long range, never getting into a monsters reach(rajang). Even the floor poke at the end can mount, if it hits the right parts.

One thing though that wasnt said (maybe its just my memory playing a trick) but i am fairly certian the activation of the clutchlaw counter via counter thrust+slinger button is better since not only is it slightly faster but also can be performed right after a thrust, since the counter thrust cancels the endlag animation. Meanwihle the slinger button+high trust button cant since the slinger guard doesnt cancle the endlag animation of a thrust

I use both. Id say for lance specifically sunbreaks is a little better due to more options and not losing any of the old options. Its not like how HH was changed, lance still has all the old moves except clutch claw

what are your keybinds for slinger aim? guard shot is basically just pressing slinger aim while your weapon is drawn. and as mentioned, these are iceborne moves, you need to have iceborne
