Thanks bud...I'm doing this exact thing in my LS/ 4l60e swap into my g body right now....gonna grab the brake switch from the donor vehicle after work today. Subscribed.
Thank you! I think the second set of terminals will work for the Shifter Lock. My original switch went bad and any new switch wouldn't work once installed on the brake pedal; I had to custom make bracket but couldn't find the right switch, that is, until I found this. Went to Rock Auto and looked up this part. It will give, if you click on the original GM AC Delco part info button, all the models this fits on will pop up. Now just gotta find the vehicle(s) in the pull a part... THX Again!
hi, I have seen several videos. I checked the installation manual for my harness several times, I followed it to the letter, but the purple wire burned ☹️. that could have happened
That new switch has 4 pins for the tcc clutch as shown. He could have gotten a gm switch from any 80s gm car with a tcc that would have only two prongs in the back.
So for the front two plugs that go to your lights? Which front connectors go where? I have a white wire that's coming from my steering column connector. But do I connect the turn signal wires or the tail lights?
Hey bro Im on the final touch of my swap but when I press brake with the switch off the lights work but as soon the switch is on the lights don't work any advice Thank you
How’s it going if I get a stand-alone harness built from my stock harness and I’m running the e40 ecu will all I have to do is wire that piece up to my trans and I’m good I’m new to this the company that’s building my harness is trying to get me to buy a tcu for 200 anything you can help me with will be greatly appreciated thanks

Do I need to swap out this brake pedal switch or is there any benefit to swap out this brake pedal switch if I'm putting a 4L60E transmission behind a carbureted 350?
Also I wanted to say I’m installing a 2006 gto 6.0 in a 1968 chevelle and I know the car don’t have a tcc power supply if you can or are willing to can you message me your number I just don’t want to have to spend more money that’s needed also I want it right thanks again in advance
thank you, does it matter which two wires we use out of the back four, since I found a switch like that that only comes with the two front wires that you bent down in the second plug of four, so could I just use those

I’m doing the same thing. 4l60e in 86 Monte SS. Were you able to get it to work with that switch. If so do you have pics? Thanks in advance.
I used one out of an 83 el Camino. It only had 4 posts. 2 for the lights and 2 for the tcc. Thanks for the video!
Thanks dude! This is the best explanation I've found so far.
Hell yeah hooked it up in my 97 Jeep Cherokee that I did an ls swap in worked great thanks for the info

I have 5.3/4l60 swap going in my 83 c10. Will I need to install this switch on my truck aswell or does it already have it?
So one wire is 12v and tcc wire and the other 2 is 12v and brake light wire correct?
whitch pin wire fome the ecu or pcm goes to the break switch to unlock the torque converter

One should have 12v key power the other goes to the lights so when you step on the brakes it gives power to your lights to light up

You use the other 2 wires for your cruise control

Chuckie Batey yeah you should have the same set up with the tcc wire. Should be no different with that Ecu
what happens if you dont use the TCC brake switch...i mean...if you keep using the first one you showed at the beginning of the video...
can i tap into that one?
Would it be the same just to wire it up to the brake ligth bulb. Or is it the opposite
It’s opposite
Para el cable tcc nesecita positivo o negativo para activarlo
Positive
Entonces al precionar el freno ese cable tiene que estar en positivo correcto?
