Trent pearman looked like the best qb there. Cade looks like the same out qb who’s slow on progressions. The wr should be improved though

Offense looks like a Tommy Bowden coached team.
Every highlight shows the QB staring down the receiver. Also, how good really is the defense? That factors into how the QB looks.
I think its gonna be a top 5 defense this year
Im not the least bit worried about offense in a spring game. Even during the Watson and Lawrence years, Clemson's offense never put up big numbers in a spring game.

Malik is a beast, dude was insanely huge compared to the other qbs, Texas fan, hate to see him go but glad he gets to play somewhere
As a big clemson fan I would’ve been more worried if Cade shredded the 1st team defense with over half the offense out and the offense only running 5 plays

@@joeladams8506 UGA’s defense will be top 5 again with potential to be #1 defense in the country.. The O line is extremely loaded which somewhat neutralizes Clemson’s strongest position group (D Line)

@@nicholastaiariol2631 possibly. But they consistently win 9+ games. The program is very close. Lots of programs would kill for that consistency.
As a Clemson fan, i don't think Klubnik is it. He just doesn't have the accuracy. Same grip we had about DJ. Their arms are canons, but lack accuracy.

Those first 5 games for clemson..ooph. UGA neutral site, App State at home (always upsets with App State), NC state at home, easy game against Stanford at home, and then FSU at doak. 3-2.
QB play since Trevor left, has been mediocre at best! WR play isn't dynamic, no separation being made, no physicality being shown. I love Dabo and what he's done for Clemson, but lately he doesn't seem to be showing development with his players. He also needs to utilize the portal, to put pressure on his players to perform. He made the tough call in 2018 to bench Kelly, he needs to display the same capability with Klubnik as well.
You brought up what I was wondering, if Coach Dabo had the fortitude to bench Kelly, would he have that same conviction to bench Klubnick for a walk on like Trent Pearman.
@@miketemple7686Trent Pearman has all of summer and fall camp to prove he should be the starter, or at least the second string QB. If Cade comes out throwing stinkers he’ll get his shot.

Clemsons going to fall behind some teams like nc state, Miami, or Louisville if they aren’t careful. This looks like a 3 or 4 L kinda team

Cade is an overrated, overhyped QB. Yes he played at one of the best high school football schools in Texas! But yet, he came in showed out to over take a very inept DJU, but suddenly in the Orange Bowl looked jumpy, happy footed, wasn’t settling down, and wasn’t reading the defense well at all. We saw this in the first eight games of the season, very erratic, over and under throwing his WR’s, throwing into coverage, hesitating to either run out the pocket or just run for his life period. Look, the Cade we all saw in that fourth quarter 28 pt comeback over a very good Kentucky team, who honestly I thought sitting at that game was going to boat race us up out the stadium, “BUT” they didn’t! Clemson very own defense stepped up big time. Then suddenly in that Fourth Quarter, I don’t know what was said to Cade, but the entire offense, but Cade looked like a 5 star QB that you could win a Championship with. Fast forward to the Spring Game. Cade looked like, well Cade. Poor decision making, throwing into double coverage, over throwing and under throwing once again, not going threw his progression effectively, and again turning the ball over as normal, he looked like a 2-3 star QB to me, just can’t depend on him to do the right thing. Trent Pearman showed me that hey, I know how to read a playbook, practice, listen, watch/observe, read a defense, see his progression early before snap and at post snap, he gets it! He wasn’t like CV, woke up and slam forgot how to play QB, no Trent came out there hungry, chip on his shoulder, wanted to show out and show up Cade and CV both! You give me Trent in summer camp moving forward, let him cook, get little more work in, studying film, learning different complexities of the defensive units he will see this season, come week one of fall camp Trent is light years ahead of Cade, you are crazy if you don’t start him at some point in the Georgia game, especially if first eight games of the season Cade shows up early, defense is trying to keep the game in play, then you bench Cade and go with a winner who in his own right understands how to win, and what it takes to win. He showed me what I saw in Deshaun and Trevor, that’s a hunger to win and win big.
He just needs time to adjust, he’s a junior, by the time you see Arch manning rolled out he will be on his 3rd year. This is Cade’s first upper class year, he’s young, give him time. He had the skills mechanics and mental ability. Don’t think people chirping when the O line is trash and the receiving core is limited. Look at any other schools WRs, Oregon, Washington Texas bama they have insane speed and talent. Clemson not so much they have enough talent to scheme and beat acc opponents. Cade comes from a great program, family and school, he’s gonna improve
