  • This is my first video posted to YT, so no promises.
    A quick tutorial on how to easily remove and install a throttle body on a BMW M52TU engine.
    The car is a 2000 323i, bone stock, with a manual transmission.

    So cool to finally find an e46 video with my actualy engine.
    I got the 99 328i m52tu28. So many e46 videos say their work applies to m54 and m52tu and they rarely do. Some big differences with the ccv system (a fpr vacuum hose) and throttle body

    Super helpful video. Getting ready to do this myself and this is definitely one of the better ones I've watched. All real time AND with one hand! Much appreciated! 🙌🏽

    Good job! That car is a world of difference from what I was mechanic-an on as my first car 40+ yrs ago (a 1970 Mustang).

    Hey thanks for the video. I have a question, do you need to reprogram it or is it just a matter of erasing the fault codes and plug and play. Sorry for the bad english.

      Your English is great! Yes, it is simply a matter of resetting the fault codes through the OBD2 port under the dash (I know you probably know where it is but I just wanted to say it for anyone else reading this). Thanks for watching!

    I’m currently doing a rebuild on a free e46 that I received in pieces, your video is helping me backtrack quite a bit of the previous owners mess. Should be running again by tomorrow night 💪🤙

    I've got a cable when trying to put the throttle body back on and I don't know where it goes

      At 11:03 in the top of the video you can see the cable pulley. There is a socket you put the ball end in and you run the cable around the pulley. Hopefully that answers your question.

    So we’re is the throttle position sensor. I been trying to look for the part and is only for the m3

    • @Herr_Weiss00
      @Herr_Weiss00  Год назад

      The throttle position sensor is built into the throttle body. That is the reason I had to replace the whole body. You cannot buy the TPS separately.

      @@Herr_Weiss00thank you for letting me know, because this dumb mechanic told me otherwise and give me that part number, and online it keeps showing up the throttle position sensor for the m3. I wasted 12 hours and no wonder no where online it shows. It’s like it doesn’t exist lmao.
