Teaching is your calling. You were born to do this. She’s not afraid to attempt or say she doesn’t know. And you break it down so that it’s fun to learn. God bless you and all the teachers in the world.
Wow, This is how I taught my older kids over 15 years ago. I love homeschooling ❤ Now they are college graduates and my baby girl will finish her Bachelor’s degree at age 19( I graduated her from our homeschool at 16, she obtained an Associate’s Degree at 17, and most done with her Bachelors in Buiness). My oldest daughter went to law school and our oldest son went to school for Audio Engineering. I’ve been homeschooling for over 7 years and have over 80 Google classroom courses that I’ve created from scratch. I’m teaching my 5 year old parts of speech this summer as he gets ready for 2nd grade. Advantages of homeschooling is to advance our kids as much as they want and if we need to slow it down, we can. My niece I going into her Senior year and will be attending college in the Spring. Thank you for having this for others as a help. I was told years ago to create a course to sell, but I’ve helped so many for free for so long. You’ve inspired me to create a course soon, prayerfully by the Spring. What platform do you use to sell your courses sis? Peace and blessings to you sis🫶🏾
Wow. Wonderful. I am teaching my 3yr old. She is doing very well. She can pick up a book now and read on her own. If it is possible , I would love to check out your course. Thank you.
🌟What an excellent, GREAT teacher!!! 🙌🏼🏆💐💝 I homeschooled the first few years, then they went to private school, then eventually public school. Both graduated with honors, college scholarships, successful adults. And kind And now I’m glad I had my children young! 😜 A lot of energy, patience, kindness and redirection is needed!
That was beautifully done! This represents the fantasy most of us hold about what it's like for our littles at school. I hope we're moving back toward smaller local schools so more children can experience this self paced, no interruptions, loving approach to teaching. ❤ Thank you for teaching me so I can do better with my almost 7-year-old! Sadly I can only use free resources at the moment.
Im in 8th grade and i missed core skills in my past grades in Language Arts and Math because mentally I wasn't there. I had multiple concussions, my first was at a few weeks / months old and my brain has been spilling out information ever since. How did I pass my grades? No idea, sometimes the stress of what will happen in the future brings back my memory. But thank you for your videos, so simple yet such a big impact. I felt behind and this is really helping me!🎉❤
I was ready to say the same but then I realized if she teachers/tutors or this is her business, she needs to be reachable to other students. For example, maybe someone was texting her they will be late for their appointment or asking to reschedule. Just because she has her phone out doesn't mean she's doing nonsense with it. My hair braider uses her cell phone for business, usually I don't like people on their phone while on my head but she great at continuing her work while answering and scheduling and if she stops its for only a sec or 2, she's not yapping with her homegirl while doing my hair.
My son has two issues. First, he flips letters. 2nd he has memory issues. By the time he sounds out the last part of the word he forgets the first sound. I don't know what to do.
Kids w adhd and dyslexia can learn w music and dance. Empower them to gain the knowledge and keep learning by using different types of intelligence. Such a kinetic (dancing sports writing drawing painting pottery lego those little beads you can iron together diamond painting etc) and musical intelligence (singing and playing an instrument)
She's teaching too many concepts ìn one go. Also too many words o n the board. I would expect her to clear every word when the child has mastard the word.
My kids are home schooled by my mother and this video is not only teaching me but makes me more excited to teach my munchkins. Thank you, Akeeba ❤
Your mom is a God sent! ❤
Grandma does homeschool? Are you kidding me? Doesnt she get angry
@@fatihakhan4381 Why would she get angry? She's already an ESL and special eds teacher so it just made sense. It was her idea anyways lol
I am over here cheering her on like she is my child. I love it !
She’s not just decoding words her comprehension is amazing! I love that she draws pictures like scrambled eggs and a sentence, I am unbidden!
I'm 67, and this is how we were taught when I was this young.
Yes, the phonics method is the proven best method for teaching kids to read.

You are a awesome teacher
Love this! Thank you! ❤
I would usually tell my children to take their time, split the word apart into syllables, and sound out the words combining the letter sounds.
I also taught my little sister how to read like this when I was very young as well.
❤wow she is amazing👏👏👏👏👏
You’re super awesome for this! Thank you🫶🏽

I love what you do you need to get rid of that phone
I was ready to say the same but then I realized if she teachers/tutors or this is her business, she needs to be reachable to other students. For example, maybe someone was texting her they will be late for their appointment or asking to reschedule. Just because she has her phone out doesn't mean she's doing nonsense with it. 100% I was going to say the exact same thing!
Thank you Akeeba!
Beautiful video! love it!
Great video. Thanks for sharing
Totally Awesome!!!! Praise God!!!!
My son has two issues. First, he flips letters. 2nd he has memory issues. By the time he sounds out the last part of the word he forgets the first sound. I don't know what to do.
Teach / tell him the word. Have him revisit the word constantly. It helps with memory.
Divide the word into two parts only.
My son was like that, he was diagnosed with dyslexia. Knowing what he had made teaching him easier. He's at grade level now.
Same @snellieg1027
Get him to also write it down and air write the word...it helps more with memory.
So awesome! ❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Is this program effective with middle schoolers?
Thats your niece right? so grown shuu🤭😍
Do you have any website suggestions for finding grade level word list?
This is excellent!
Thank you, my grandson‘ just had his third birthday last week. What do you have for toddlers?
I'm interested also for my grandkids! 8mths & almost three yrs!
Can you give me advice or tips on how to start
I am 27 by tomorrow, and I was taught all of this when I was little in school. In what way have they been teaching these kids now? 😳
Hi- I have a random question- but do you let your child have electronic time? And if you do, how long a day/weekend?
Hi, I was wondering if you have any tips for helping a child with dyslexia? My granddaughter is really struggling and is in the 2nd grade.
I am from jamaica and i am having difficulty teaching my son to read
Awesome
Thank you so much this is great, sadly the code was not working.
also MARVA COLLINS PHONICS....... reading books without pictures......
❤
It’s the phone for me, distraction. Do we always need a phone in our hands? But keep up the good work.
I hated when we were called out to go to the chalkboard😅🤣😭🤣.. They still doing that???????? 😅😅😅😅😅😅💀🙏😭🤣
Hey akeeba maze 😊👋
🎉🎉🎉
How do I help my 10 year old daughter who can read at a grade 6 level, but spells very poorly? She may have a learning disability? I homeschool her.
She needs help with phonemic awareness
Does this help with children that have dyslexia. My daughter is 8 homeschooling since school aged and she still struggles to read. 😢
I'm gonna try and see
the discount code is not working what to do?
Just extended the sale! It was set to expire. Please try now
What state are you in
🤔 or just have your child read a variety of books on multiple levels.
Not all students will learn to read more complex words just from being given complex texts. Some will, but not all
I have a 4 and 5 year old I want to home school them
Does this work for kids with ADHD and Dyslexia? My son is losing interest and I'm feeling helpless!
I didn’t get it.
😊❤👍👍🧠💯

Nice, i like your method
Thank uuu
