@@abomasnow4 I see, as a kid I always looked for those cheats and extra lives up before playing them. They’re pretty good though, I’m assuming original hardware without Pc assisted help for one playthrough?
@@BiAir75 "Game engine" in this context meant reusing the same code. Of course they're not the same as today's with a dedicated software but devs back then still reused the same code framework and physics. Super Mario Bros reused the scrolling engine that served for Excitebike, Kid Icarus had the same engine as Metroid. Even western devs did that like Joust reusing the same arcade board as Defender (which is closer to a physical engine than software but you get what I mean). So I wouldn't be surprised that Streets of Rage reused code from this game (thus the similar sound effects).
Wow .. this game is so classic .. i prefered super sinobi 2 . Better soundtrack.. find it the bosses are harder to beat .. the best of all, Sinobi can now run and slash or even flying kick ..

Kinda surprising that certain bosses such as The Terminator, Spider-Man, and Godzilla's Skeleton are in it.
It appears they took out Batman for this version. He was the original boss that Spiderman morphed into.

World of Longplays and their sister channel, Longplay Archives, don't use cheats. All of their games are played vanilla; no hacks or cheats at all.

Ninja Warriors, Ninja Spirit, and Shinobi 3 beats this. IMO, this is basically Shinobi 1 remade better, because eff the Masked Ninja fight.
