It's so nice that you can quickly jump on a short flight so some amazing destinations around you! Looked like a good trip, congrats! Looking forward to more sights and sounds from your winter 2024. Bon soir, Ann-Elin
Great style! Enjoy your style when looking at these cities. How about a tour of Oslo, Bergen, Tromso? I would love your insight into Nordic culture. Small villages on the coast and the food etc would be fascinating as well as folk art when you aren’t galavanting with Sam
I might go pick up Sam in Oslo beginning of next year so we’ll definitely do a tour of Oslo then! I’ll try to make a video about the ones down south here before that :)
It’s a wonderful city! 😍 But next time I will focus more on just exploring the city and not so much on the touristy things 👌Kjerringvik, that’s cool! I did some field work at Ølbergholmen in august! 🪼🐟
I really liked Paris when I went way back in 1995. Through shear serendipity, I stumbled into the last day of the Tour de France as Miguel Indurain was winning his then-record (and I think once again record) fifth Tour. Very cool experience. But really liked Paris overall also,
What an incredible trip, I am so envious. I have always wanted to visit Paris but probably never will, just getting too old To sit in a sidewalk cafe and sip an espresso, and watch the world go by would be heavenly. Thanks for the video and the beret is stunning, you look like a native Parisian.
Your coat and beret = tres chic. We too loved Paris, mostly we walked around and admired the architecture. As Canadians and sailors we found the crowds and lines too much but the food and ambiance!!
Yeah exactly, the city is beautiful it’s just the tourist things with the insane lines that are not so fun. But now I’ve been there and done that! Next time I will just enjoy the ambiance and explore the city more 😊
Ann-Elin thanks for the video. I enjoy your candor. I agree with you that the Louvre is too crowded and the trip to the top of the Eiffel tower at night is fantastic...and I don't like heights either but the view is phenomenal. I don't like long lines either. My favorite part of Versailles was renting a golf cart to tour the gardens in the back! By the way, your English is phenomenal. The more time you spend around Sam, the more American you sound!
Loved your attire! You looked like you belonged there. It’s very difficult to tour such a popular area in that amount of time. Your choice of highlights was much appreciated as well as your honesty. Maybe some day!😊👍💯
I live in Sam’s neck of the woods. We’ve been to Paris three times and had very similar experiences. Stood in line at the Louvre for three hours on our first visit, only for workers to tell us the staff went on strike and we couldn’t get in. Loved the Seine boat ride and the Eiffel at night. Second and third visits we left Paris and went to Caen and Strasbourg.
Omg three hours! that’s crazy, but I believe you! I think I would cry if they wouldn’t have let us in 😂 probably smart to check out other cities as well, will definitely try to do that next time!
Thank you for the story. I now know for sure what I always thought: I will not go and see the Mona Lisa. Waiting for two hours and then from a distance of 10 meters with what feels like 500 other visitors. No thanks!😂
Haha believe me, just google it, it’s exactly the same 😂 I actually saw someone in front of me on the escalator had been standing in line and got the shot, and he was cropping the picture so it covered his whole screen.. like dude.. whyy?! 😂 just save it from Google!
Great travelogue. Also no punches pulled. You shoot straight from the hip. It is a fantastic place spoiled by so many visitors. I was there a few years back and the Tower is the best. I think I bought tickets the day before to avoid the mega lines. For a Captal city break my favourite is Amsterdam. No hills everything is a short distance apart and No snails !!! Yuk ! Even worse if you get a "slug gish one"....i.e. the homeless variety.
i am from Paris and i never seen mona lisa, never been on the eiffel tower and never visited versailles castle...i am glad you did it for me...thank you for the video...(in April i go to Bergen 🫢)
Off to Paris we go, weeee weeee! Hsppy to see Mona is still getting along just fine, that lady can sure sit still haha! I think as far as a city goes Paris is leading in beautiful architectural sites! I was there right after Notre Dame burnt and good grief the tourist were absolutely insane. Ventured out one night to take in sites around the the Big Wheel and was stopped due to Iranian protestors clashing with the police omg! Next time I go I will stretch out a little ways from Paris in more relaxed settings! My friends rented a small apartment for two weeks cheaper than my hotel was for 4 nights 😂 Thanks for taking us all along Ann-E
Oh wow! That must have been interesting, the Note Dame burning was just such a tragedy 😥 definitely checking out apartments next time cause the hotel was ridiculously expensive compared to what we got 😂 but at least we were close to the Eiffel Tower, I guess that’s why it was so expensive 🤷♀️
Another great video! I wish you would speak Norwegian more in your videos. You have a good eye for cinematography. I also like seeing things from your perpective. It makes it feel real. Was that castle where they signed the Treaty of Versailles?
Dear Ann-Elin, You looked very nice in your beret! Perhaps you could cook some snails 🐌🐌🐌 for Sam next time you're on Pickle! I can't believe how crowded it was!! I've been twice in Summer and it was way less crowded as I understand everyone heads away from Paris and goes to the coast in Summer as it can get too hot. You should now have some nice memories to share with your mum and some great photos too.
Oh really! I thought it would be even more crazy in summer, but that’s a good point! I’m gonna make Sam some snails for sure, pretty sure he’s gonna like it 🤞🐌
I think going during the week, not the weekend and getting the multi day museum pass which lets you skip the lines is the way to go (if they still have that.) Also missed seeing Lisa Kudrow but I heard she is camera shy when not working. 😎
My favorite trip to Paris was in 1987, walking around the city at 2am, seeing all the sights when it was deserted, then stumbling across a street lined for 2 miles with prostitutes (very ethnically diverse and dressed to the 9s). Very startling when you don’t expect it.
Wonderful video again, you should do this for a living. Most European capitals are heaving with tourists these days. I've been on Westminster bridge in April and it's like being in a football crowd. And in Westminster Abbey it was the same. Too many people and having to follow a set route. Not enjoyable.
@@annelinsynnes I am sure you could.. I did not mention how much I liked the video, the skill you have demonstrates you are very versatile in the media marketplace! Who knows where your talents carry you...

September is a good time to visit Paris. There are fewer people, but the weather is still relatively comfortable.
Thanks Ann-Elin. Sitting here in Kjerringvik with my wife and dreaming of Paris after watching your very cool video just now.

Enjoyed, thanks…..sailing, diving, Paris…..what’s next! Andrew
Lovely...thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Wow, what a cool coincidence!
What an incredible trip, I am so envious. I have always wanted to visit Paris but probably never will, just getting too old To sit in a sidewalk cafe and sip an espresso, and watch the world go by would be heavenly. Thanks for the video and the beret is stunning, you look like a native Parisian.
Yes that’s the best about Paris! Also, merci beaucoup monsieur!

Thank you!
Great, thanks for posting.
Beautiful apartment with amazing views. 🙂. Looking forward to this one. Thank you.

Aah dang that’s a missed opportunity! I didn’t know you could rent golf carts!

WOOHOO!!
Good Times with Mom!
Nice Hat 👍
I love your smile. So happy. Thanks for the video.
Awesome stuff.....Thank you
One of the best things I've ever read inscribed on tombstone: ""Paris is always a good idea!""

I agree, I also love Amsterdam! But Paris is definitely up there, just no more tourist spots
Alltid velat se tornet och livet runt om kring ! Tack visningen ❤
Och jag gillar även sams äventyr mycket 😉
enjoyed the visit to Paris. agree way too crowded for me. food looked good at every meal. good hat!
Yeah the crowds are crazy, but the architecture and ambiance of the city is great! 🍷🥖🐌
Lovely trip to share with your mom.
So disappointed not to see your mom in the pictures. I’m sure she is as pretty as you.
Sitting in Wellington New Zealand where it’s 20degrees and sunny! Thank you for your interesting video. Don’t miss the queues though.
i am from Paris and i never seen mona lisa, never been on the eiffel tower and never visited versailles castle...i am glad you did it for me...thank you for the video...(in April i go to Bergen 🫢)
Really, that’s awesome! Bergen is a wonderful city! And spring is a very good time to visit 🌸 not sure if it can compare to Paris though 😅
The coffee looks good, maybe that can be a theme with your channel. Start all videos with a coffee of some kind 😊
Good idea! ☕️

Those eyes! 🤟 And with the hat you look like a "Parisienne" 🙂 - we missed your mom though!
How the kids say now, very demure very international....thanks n love a beret on a pretty woman , great outfits, looked a great time.
Merci beaucoup! 🥖🍷

Yes it was! 🕊️ I’ll keep it in mind and throw in some Norwegian here and there 😆

Week will probably be better, yes! We did Friday-Sunday which is probably the worst, but easiest 🤷♀️
Thanks! Have a nice coffee and refect on your adventures
Omg thank you!! 🙏

You can go to Paris on sailboat (mast down) marinas are quite cheap, channel Wildlings was there in early pandemic.
We have been talking about it! Would be so fun! ⛵️
I would not want to visit Paris ….unless I was going with you !

Your poor feet !!!! 😥 I'm not first this time to post a comment.... but glad I got to see you look amazing in this one !!!! 😃
Sam would want to know if you can sail on the Seine!
I could! As long as he would sail with me! ⛵️
@@annelinsynnes I am sure you could.. I did not mention how much I liked the video, the skill you have demonstrates you are very versatile in the media marketplace! Who knows where your talents carry you...
Beautiful you!
You Paris model
Time stamp 15:55…… Sistine Chapel not Sixteenth Chapel……and I’m uh ‘Merican ….. geeze!
Haha thanks 👌 glad you pointed that out
Compare what the super rich did with their wealth back then to today....
