I was quote $200 to replace the ESIM on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. This video saved me around $160. Paid $39 for the part and did it in less than an hour. Thanks so much!!
Thank you for the great video. Very helpful. I was able to replace just the o-ring that I bought at home Depot for $2.75. it is the 1 3/4" by 1/8" in thick
Thanks brother for your help I was wondering about my keep 2014 jeep Cherokee latitude. Had gas cap light on replaced it seeing as it was about time I replaced it. The light is still on for the cap so I’ll go back and disconnect the battery check again them move to the module you talked about.
Thanks for the video. It helped me do the job. I still have the idiot lights, though. I've seen elsewhere that they take some driving to clear. We'll see.
Update: After driving 20 miles to work and restarting the Jeep, both lights cleared. I'm really happy to have done this myself instead of paying too much to a shop.
Very informative video! Thanks for sharing man I appreciate it! My wife’s Jeep had the check engine light on, I replaced fuel cap per some videos worn a part from Napa guaranteed to fit, check engine light went away but not the fuel cap light is on.. thinking I’ll check the purge valve next under the hood for any cracks, if not that then do this EISM replacement, it’s less than 30$ just have to drive 35 mins away… thank you again for all the knowledge… liked the video and new subscriber here!
I have a 2015 dodge journey, replace both valve under the hood and one by the rear of the suv, and new gas cap all good for 2 months and check engine and gas cap message came back so I guess it's smoke test time at the shop.

I have a 2016 jeep cherokee north that this just happened too after a tire swap and oil change. Could that have caused this? I have yet to take it to a mechanic but I will soon to the same ones that did the oil change and tires. I changed my gas cap and it's still there. So, I'm guessing it's a deeper problem. But I'm broke, so how bad is this problem and can I let it slide for a bit?

did you remove the tire?
@@glennmealer1801 yes I did but I didn't have to remove the whole rubber panel. Just the rear part. Two screws and I had full access to the ESIM
@@JoeySanchezMusicLifethank you for the information, and the reply.
@@glennmealer1801 yes, I had to remove wheel in order to gain full access of ESIM.
I bought OEM gas cap, replaced Evap, no leaks in fuel lines and so I just bought the ESIM part and Voila it worked thanks man!

Hi Tim!
Glad the video helped. More than likely it may be the ESIM. It’s the most common issue regarding P0456.

hi so where did you hook up the smoke machine to determine that you have a leak in the eism??
Excellent question! No, I did not hook up smoke machine. If I did it would not leaked out. The common problem is the sensor fault, not a leak issue.
can you tell me a cheap way to read the codes when the engine light comes on?
The cheapest way is to go to Autozone or Oreilys auto store. They check codes for free.
