Very good t! I thought the same thing about connecting my streaming computer hard wire to the router, so ordered a 100 ft Ethernet yesterday. I was crossing my fingers that it would work. Thanks! I'm using 16 ch Mackie mixer so I could use phantom power for a condenser mic and the built in effects. Plus I use the iRig stream box for IG. I connect it to the tape out on the mixer. Then I connect the headset out if that into channel of my controller and cue it (Vol. fader down)so can hear that stream.
I wish you would do a part 2 tutorial, this was super easy to follow, and like you said so many cools things you can create!

Hold alt while dragging the resize squares to crop without a filter.
There is an Automatic Scene Switcher plugin too, so you can set OBS to automatically switch scenes after a set time. But yeah. Manual control with hotkeys is nice too.

Mute audio sources by clicking the Speaker symbol. Hide by right click the ones that are not in use.

It is not possible. In obs its only one track.

I would be interested in the best settings for recording from a mixing console Pioneer A9
Dude thx, you have no idea how hard it is to find videos that explain in plain English what things do and its a great way to show people what truly goes on behind the scenes. Now I use OBS and have an interface for my sound gear but I keep having an issue that is really throwing my streams off, the audio is off-sync with the video. My questions is what should I do to correct this problem? I'm having a hard tine figuring out weather is a user error or if my settings are to blame. Would appreciate the help and again thx for the help, I truly appreciate it.
Go into the obs settings. I think it's under audio but you can set an audio delay to match it to your video.
amazing video - thank you! Question: your speaker-microphone must be set to mono in order to listen it on the right and left channel as the DJ Input is. Is there anything to set up for that extra on the H6? thanks for helping!
On the zoom H6 there is a right and left input for the music. Each channel is panned in the zoom H6 accordingly left and right. The microphone is a 3 input to the H6.
That live stream over the weekend was pretty brutal tbh
I was coming off a 12 hour shift and had been up for 20 hours straight. Wasnt my best idea
Use ALT to crop.
You could get a stream deck for the OBS control or they make an app for iOS that sets up just like the stream deck. This way you wouldn’t have to use the laptop hot keys.
It's the same thing
Pro tip: feed the audio in 15db lower. Add filter to audio in, add limiter and set to -15db. Add another filter to audio, add gain and set it to 14db. No clipping, still loud and 1db of headroom. I use vsts because they sound much better but whats built in is fine. If you want free vsts download the rea pack from the reaper website. Find me on twitch to hear example: DJILLEE.
I do that on the zoom H6!

So I've seen a number of videos with Dj's using the IRIG2. I've been waiting for the IRIG Stream since March! Using the IRIG 2 I had it setup using Master Out on my DDJ1000 per other videos I seen and watching the stream back I could hear my AC running and the sound of when I put a glass on my table?!
So with the ZOOM will that correct that audio issue, will it have my audio crisp & live?

Sounds like your mic is picking up that sound. The Irig should only be picking up your input source.

I was wondering do you have any delay in the video/audio not matching? I know when I use my camcorder with a capture card I don't have a delay but that camera is bad video. I was going to get a good web cam, I just was wondering with the webcam is there a bit of a delay that you have to adjust in OBI?

USB. Usb c cable into computer then using the cannon software obs will see it as a video input like a webcam

You can use a capture card (separate device) and not use the eos.
What’s the trussing that the overhead camera is mounted to... could t find a link for that....lately I’ve been doing a lot a family photos with backdrops and that would be perfect all the other ones on amazon are flimsy

Its the cannon eos beta software. Available on their website. Google it. Or if you want a direct option I use hdmi out of the camera into an elgato video capture device.

Won't open? What does that mean You? You put a battery in it? Plugged in the USB c to cable to the computer? Then add it as a media source in obs
@@DJRickWeb In fact it is that I did not see that it was a specific Canon cable that was needed to detect the video signal. I just have the USB cable to charge the device. So it's normal that he doesn't detect it to me lol!
You just need a USB c cable that does data. I just used my Amazon cable. Some USB cables are power only.

I'm using your video as the basis for my setup. But I think I'm stuck. You have a DJ SETUP and a STREAM setup - 2 computers - which is what I want to use. You mentioned that your audio is setup on your DJ SETUP routed through your H6 but in the video, on your STREAM SETUP, you setup the H6 as your audio input source. It's my understanding that you're using two separate computers - therefore, how is the STREAM setup receiving an audio signal from the other comp? How does comp #2 (STREAM comp) know that you're using the H6 on comp #1? Are you taking the output from DJ COMP and routing into the STREAM computer via an audio interface? I was hoping that I could route the output audio signal from my Yamaha soundcard mixer on my DJ comp and route it into an audio input on my NI Audio 6 soundcard on my STREAM computer. Is this how it works? Your video is VERY HELPFUL. Thanks!
1st computer is for dj. Not used for anything stream. H6 is plugged into stream computer.

That depends on your encoder which is different for every computer.

you can not use OBS on a video chat but you can use the audio interface with your mics in it

How much all the gear cost like $1000 just for a live stream? Can a live stream be done with $50
I had all this laying around. You can live stream for prob around 100 if you have a laptop already. Just use the webcam and buy an audio interface
Right now with all the price gouging going on for electronics it costs 2.5x as much as it would normaly cost. The c920 used to be around $70 if I remember correctly and now its hard to find one for less than $180.
So you basically need gear worth at least 10k to stream?
10k? Logitech camera, h6 or cheaper sound card and done. The rest is whatever you DJ with.

I used to use restream for that. It allows you to stream to multiple platforms at once.

So complicated. How do you do it all? I would rather just do audio via Virtual DJ stream server, which is just a one button push. I only want people to know how I spin, blends, transition etc..... I've done a FB stream once but got muted, so FB is a pain in the ass unless I feel like DJ'ing everything like Alvin and the chipmunks.
I downloaded OBS for the purpose of attempting to use a website called: www.playdj.tv ( A new streaming service for DJ's which will allow you to charge a cover fee to view the stream, like a private club ). Anyways, seems complicated, but I like tech challenges, so I will learn.
I felt the same way! After you figure this out, it is actually a lot of fun to create your overlays etc.
Way too much for a livestream. As for streaming the audio you can easily reroute your DJM S9 with loopback it’s super easy and well worth it.

F.Y.I...If you want a faster way to Crop in OBS on PC, Hold down alt, left mouse button, and drag one of the Red Dots.

Since my mic is hooked up into the h6 and not my dj system the mic only goes to the live stream the music coming out the s9 goes to the monitors
