Don't get me wrong, I love Delta Squad but I don't think they work well with Jedi.

I personally dislike the concept of the bad batch. It just demeans the clone army. I extremely dislike that.
Bringer of Death, yeah they’re pretty boring too. I like the regular clones. They are similar on the outside, but they have such distinct personalities and they don’t follow character tropes. Although I guess you could say Cody does, but he’s the only one. The rest have a overall archetype, but with deep quirks that set them apart.

Just realized Hunters helmet looks very similar to that of a cannon Death Trooper. Probably inspired the design for the Death Trooper armor
And Wrecker's is a dead-ringer for Stromtrooper helmets.

loved the new season felt like 10 year old me watching the original season really nostalgic one of the best sequels to a show stays true to the first seasons so happy about how cool it is

idk if its just me but theyre kinda cringe and it feels like whoever wrote them tried to hard to make them seem cool. and its seems like everytime it tried to be like serious recker ruined the vibe lmao. that being said maybe theyll grow on me or develop more in later episodes, other than that the new season has been pretty good and the art and animation has been amazing. im looking forward to order 66
Wrecker was a little cringy at points, though the others telling him to grow up seemed to state his personality embarrassed them. Seems mostly intentional, though he can still be a bit much.
They were very generic. Silent Sharpshooter, big strong guy, nerdy tech guy, leader guy.
However, I really enjoyed them. I hated them when I first saw the unfinished episodes, but they're alright now.
That’s what I was thinking too, they struck me as cliche and just sorta seemed to be trying too hard to be cool. I think they’ll probably grow on me though

That's literally their design intention. In a war you want your special operations units to cover all of the bases and excel in each one. The Clone Commandos fall into this exact same trap, but I don't see anyone complaining about them.

Even spicier take: I don't like the Bad Batch. Having almost superhero like abilities in clones is just wrong to me, especially when each clone is really uninspired in personality. This arc would have just been so much better if we finally got to see a proper debut of Delta Squad, since they are canon.
I think it would be neat to see delta squad participate in some capacity, probably during the siege of mandalore, but I don't think they should be the focus of any one arc as they already have their own backstory out there, it's better to build upon new characters primarily.

Remember the Delta squad is the only clone troopers that actually faced general grievous bodyguards without Jedi support so keep that in mind when we talk about who’s week and who’s strong not to mention they scouted savage oppress and survived

Am I the only one who thinks that the Bad Batch Clones are similar to the Null-class ARC Troopers from Legends? They barely work with regular Clones and they had a very distinct attitude from other Clones, even Commandos. They’re pretty savage too. Ringing any bells? I hope so.

I didnt really enjoy the episode. It just screams plot armour all the way. Clones should have died so many times.
My main gripe with the clone wars in general is how bad they make the droid army look, they dont seem like a threat at all, can't hit shit from 5 meters away. Only when the plot needs it.
That droid carrier thing would have just blasted them out of the way. And a pistol one shotting B2 battledroids like they were paper.
It feels more like a republic fanfiction to me.
That is essentially TCW's problem the show seems like Republic fanfiction and I say it as someone that enjoys the show. The CIS has its moments, but the droids are so unintimidating in every aspect of this series, except maybe the commando droids, everything is nerfed.
In the rebels Gregor's character kinda fits the bad batch

Clone force 99 isnt a standard military force, they are more akin to a Black Ops unit. They work with the military, even hold military rank, but they take missions more akin to IRL Delta Force. Only instead of regular clones getting selected they are break for black ops work where there can be no (enemy) survivors and where their missions are strictly off the books.
Could the bad batch go up against commandos or arch trooper.

I have mixed feelings about the Bad Batch. Concept-wise, they’re pretty interesting, but their abilities (especially Wrecker’s) seem a little...over the top. Super-humanly strong is one thing, but flipping an entire LAAT seems a bit absurd. It’s getting into “super hero” territory, which raises a whole lot of questions about just how advanced genetic manipulation is in Star Wars.

*Unpopular Opinion* : Tbh I don't really like Wrecker nor Crosshair, they just seem to brash and arrogant. It's especially apparent in the scene when Wreaker chokes Jesse. If I was Jesse I might have shot him in the face.
Tek is my favorite because he is a team player and respects the chain of command.
Sorry, but to me, they are few more than the cringiest clone squad to me. The strong stupid one, the silent edgy one, the smart non-emphatic one and the badass leader, all hillariously over the top. Hell, Crosshair even has a toothpick to chew!
How would the CIS and GAR navies (the Expanded Universe versions) fair against Warhamer 40k Imperium ships since the Star Wars weaponry in the Expanded Universe is alot more powerful how much damage could they do against the Imperium's ships which are basically bulky super mega fortresses?
If we go by canon numbers? pretty terribly. even the Tau would outnumber them. even if we go by post-war empire numbers (billions of soldiers, and millions of storm troopers), that's still not a number the imperial guard would even get out of bed for. this would largely be reflected in the naval capacity as well, though the biggest weakness of the imperium is its inability to replace its most powerful ships if they are lost.

@@thorshammer7883 what are the expanded universe numbers, because afaik its no more than a couple thousand venators for the GAR and I imagine similar numbers for the CIS. That's the strength of a single *battlefleet* in warhammer 40k, much less the entire imperial navy.

The wiki for the CIS navy in the Expanded Universe say that they had about 4 times the ships and suggests that they had millions of ships with the fleet summary where their largest fleets measured about 4,000 ships and they hundreds of these fleets.

Tech is my favorite in the Bad Batch.... he has a less aggressive personality and his helmet is quite interesting cuz the helmet has a computer built in to the helmet that can translate alien languages, provide strategic informations, and many more...

Hey Eck, I just noticed this while watching Rebels again, but why does the Chimaera, an evidently Imperial I Class Star Destroyer in Canon (as evidenced by the tractor beam array above the bridge), have octuple barbette turbolasers whent hey were only seen on Imperial II Class Star Destroyers (Which the Chimaera was in Legends)
Thrawn may have modified the Chimera.
@@merafirewing6591 That's what I thought originally, but that would be a pretty major modification not to be mentioned anywhere in the books or series, because the timing makes it the first star destroyer with octuple barbettes- which would also need a greater power output

Like with most of the clone wars, I doubt bad batch will directly lead to the next two arcs, so I feel like we could just say crystal crisis happens late in the war like we have before.

It's a cool concept, but to anyone who read the republic commando series, we already have our bad batch. The NULL arcs raised by Kal skirata. And I think it would have been awesome to have a series about that. To me this just looks dumb.

I was also surprised. Thought he was a lot younger.
The only issue I had with this episode was that they made the Bad Batch instantly badass and seemed to instantly make everyone else less capable. Rex (who had Arc Trooper training) and Jesse (now an Arc Trooper, which means that he is one of the best clones in the galaxy at combat other than the Commandoes) are now shown to be less competent just to show off the Bad Batch. What’s next, are they going to have Delta Squad come back and face off against BB and then lose to show how good they are??? Other than that, I didn’t have an issue with it really.
How did it make them look less competent? They worked well together and their ops went off without any hitches.
Ah. I need an A-Team opening using the Bad Batch.
