Yes it made me have a lucid dream about Medusa and at the time she was a girl I had fallen in love with who is also the first Witch I ever met. She happened to see something I had written about it and seemed upset. Actually 😂 I recall Darienne looking too sexy one day and I was talking to her through the iPad telling her not to distract me from this other girl I had just discussed, who was a woman who got me back into Magick, which lead me to Darienne Empire. I’ve learned a lot but I’m still a little baby witch. I know, I gotta grow up sometime 🙀

I have my own conlang (fictional constructed language), which took many years to create, and it has its own alphabet too, and I like to write in that. I have written the cover in the characters from my language.

My book is English alphabet but in a Native American language. So if you don't speak Chickasaw you don't know what you are looking at. I made it myself from watching videos on RUclips. Hardback , leather bound , 2000 sheets of parcent paper. I have created an entire magickal Tradition that is a blend of Western Mystery Tradition and Chickasaw folklore , myths , and such. I grew up knowing I am Chickasaw but was not exposed to my Heritage thanks to a racist grandfather. So as an adult I moved to Oklahoma to learn about my culture. My boyfriend swears I created a new Tradition that he has labeled Chicka-Wicca.
I did that with a diary once. It took me so long to write my entries I gave it up lmao! Kudos to you! X

Grimoire comes from the latin word for 'grammar', so to speak 'the basics'. It's a recipe book really for spells and anything magic.

Not always. Some witches use it exclusively as a spell book, others use it for moon cycles, spells, crystal's, and things about their God or goddesses and to document their path.
Grimoier and book of shadows are diferent things

I suggest you got to witch school! You can go online for free. It's called Acturian school of witchcraft
EDIT: the school is terrible. Very unorganized and unconsistant...but you get what u pay for?

If you're still interested theres the magick circle school but the enrolment process is long and tedious, there are many youtubers (my favourites are molly Robert's herspeak, hearthwitch and I've conveniently forgotten the rest) check reddit, pagans and witches amino etc good luck

@@IAMMEDIA. I interpret the Bible the way I believe I should. And that interpretation will be different for each, for we are all different and yet we are all children of god in the end. Seeing that you clearly have took time to read your Bible, which is amazing, you should know that commenting on someone’s journey with God in a rude way is a sin. So, hopefully in the future you can keep yourself from doing this. Just like we were told in our bible, you should cut off your tongue if you only wish to use it for foul talk.

I’ve been practicing since I was 15, I’m 19 now and just got a BOS and a Grimoire. I always wanted to get this big fancy book or make my own, but it always made me scared to use it. You always see calligraphy, fancy drawings etc. and it’s lovely! However, I decided to just go to Walmart and touch any book that looked interesting to me, and when I felt drawn to two of them. One is 100% sacred and will never be opened unless by me, that’s my BOS, or my witch diary where I record personal things, magickal and not magickal. And the other is my Grimiore, my “magickal textbook/cookbook” if you will. Still just as sacred, however I see it more as a knowledge holder where things I might be willing to share later will be put ❤️ I can’t do calligraphy, not a great drawer, and I just wanna tell any other witches that are holding back because of that, it is only magickal if you make it so! It bugged me for a long time worrying about how pretty it would be, and I eventually learned that if I mess up, it’s a bit unorganized (I color code the corners of my pages for that!), that it’s okay because it’s MY magickal book(s) ❤️ And thank you for showing your grimoire! ❤️❤️

Ive been jotting all my notes and intentions on notebook paper for my bos and I'm gonna start transferring over my first part soon!
Even before you opened it I thought; I'd draw flowers and leaves in it.
This is beautiful book and to be honest I wasn't going to click on this video but something told me to do it so thank you for showing you Grimoire it really was a beautiful book.
I just have a normal notebook and I write my spells and how I am feeling at the time.

I think it is so cool these days, that there are people everywhere opening up about witchcraft and their way of living. I already took some information out of the internet in the past, but I just found your channel after some research about grimoires. Some months ago I had some vivid dreams about being burned several times or walking through woods and to me it felt like something other showed that to me. And I just wanted to appreciate at this point, how lucky I feel about our time where such knowledge can be kind of spread again without the need to be afraid.

I am a bay witch... and all my life ive been growing up in a kinda religious family. Since ive started watching supernatural tv shows ive been wanting to do magick but as a Christian and i have looked up about "Christian Witchcraft". Ihave seen they are not alot of Christians that are witches. So thank you for teaching me that I can be a Christian and a Witch.

I hand bound (handmade) my book of shadows with mixed media sketchbook paper so I could use watercolors easily

I really need to get mine in order!! Right now its two note books ( I had 6 more but burnt em to release ) and a whole lot of sticky notes and note pad jottings!! My family does not understand why my notebooks, sticky notes and note pad jottings are so important to me. I have been looking at ones that are for sale but I much prefer to create my own.
I created my ritual book , inspired by videos I saw on RUclips about how to make a hand bound book.
Leather, hardback , parchment paper , English alphabet/Chickasaw language . Being a Chickasaw myself I had to throw that little bit of my Culture into the Magick.
My boyfriend playfully gives me grief saying I created what he calls Chicka-Wicca

Haha i honestly just buy cheap stuff from like 5 below & I've even used my toddlers water colors hahaha I haven't cracked into the fancy calligraphy stuff yet but ali express has alot

I love #witchbabywednesday!!! I just began my first grimoire today & I’m so inspired right now! I’m ao glad I found this channel!!! I also use the holy trinity in my craft so it’s refreshing to see another witch using the same deities as me!!!
to each their own & your grimoire is lovely. however traditionally, a book of shadows & a grimoire are two separate entities. a grimoire being a spell/ritual book full of correspondences & other findings, while a bos is more of an account of that information, kinda like a dairy. they hold information such as the cards pulled for tarot readings, dream interpretations & accounts of dealings with spirit guides or deities. a bos is never shared with other people.
That's intereting bc King Solomons Grimoires were an account of information mixed with philosophy & spells & ritual magick. I'm not sure the traditions you study but its certainly not for all. King Solomon is one of the most major magickal influences in existence dating back to Sumerian times (the first account of witchcraft ever know). He influenced Waite (creator of the Rider Waite Tarot deck) Aleister Crowley & many many more.

I love how you explained your connection to your Book, and the magic you have infused into it. Your Book looks so lovely, I love the carved leather cover, the art you put inside, just everything. Reminding me I need to dive back into my own magical journal, and have some fun with water colors too.
So its kinda like a diray, a prayer journal, a journal on experiences. A personal scrap book. Or a dream journal. Just a journal full of your own personal secrets, experiences, fake language if you wish, interests and personal artistic creativity. All in all its a book that is the embodiment of your personal knowledge. As its a symbolism to knowledge is power. A way to reference your past, present and potential future. Of course religion can add a extra boost of spiritual confidence/context. I personally am a Christian so if i make a journal instead of spells i would put my favorite proverbs into it. I would write things that i know can help others in it. A book made specifically for you a way to fully express ones self with no judgment as to why the book shall be kept secret from others.

I just finished making my own grimoire! It may not be the prettiest around the edges or even on the inside, but I am still immensely proud of it. Now to start filling it up! I want to thank you for helping me figure out a few things about grimoires and spells and the like. I'm just getting into all of this and it's a little daunting but I am very excited for the future.

I'm 12, so I'm LITERALLY a baby witch. I don't have the most money and I started a book of shadows using a sketchbook I bought at Walmart... I've had a few witches tell me "No, that's wrong, youre not doing it right," Or "You should throw it away, buy an ACTUALLY book of shadows" I wanted to get an opinion from a few other witches to see if I did it wrong and should make another one using better quality objects. Should I?

First rule of being a Witch: nobody gets to tell you how you do your magick. 😉 if its loving advice be grateful but always do what you feel is right for you.

My grimoire is mostly recipes, and pages discussing the magickal properties of different ingredients and herbs. I live with my family and I'm in the broom closet, as they say. So cooking is a way for me to practice my craft safely and inconspicuously.

I have the journal that you use in this video and I can’t seem to operate the lock.
I understand how to unlock it, but when I try to put the lock on the book, it won’t close enough to lock. The ball that you slide the lock through is always in the way. Can anyone else who has this book help? 😂😂

Hey thanks for sharing! I've got mine in a binder that's a work in progress. I use it until I feel I've progressed enough (and shown myself I can do art still) then I make a new one. I love having something handmade for myself. My next plan is a smaller journal for tarot records. I also keep a more workbook type one which I use more often and take pages out of to put into my BoS.

I'm a Christian Witch, and I just bought a leather bound journal to be my first grimoire. I'm very excited to begin. The only person I would ever want to see it is my future child, whenever that may come about. I'm a professional artist, so it should come out well and my personal touch should be very vivid.

You are definitely an artist! So glad i found you! I have been studying witchcraft for about 20 years now but I have recently decided to start doing spell work and really getting into what is special for me. I am also an empath/medium and I have been struggling lately with my power and how to ground myself and how to express myself. I have also been struggling with being an energy vampire from what I’m told, I had a couple of readings done and I have a bad habit of draining my husbands energy who is also a medium. So I i’m basically researching and studying everything and trying to get as much information as possible! I’m so glad I found you I’ve been binge watching your videos!

The word "grimoire" comes from the old French word "grammaire" which originally meant a book of learning, like a textbook. A witch's grimoire is written as a collection of knowledge for passing on to others. A "grimoire" is a guidebook. It's a book of beliefs and a how-to manual of your own tried-and-true workings and rituals. It is for sharing only with people you trust, whom you wish to share your knowledge with. A "book of shadows" is a diary-- a book of personal secrets and a dream journal, a record of your spells and workings and which ones were effective or not, and a record of your personal exploration of your craft. Most witches will never share a book of shadows with anyone. In case anyone is interested in the difference between the two terms.

A grimoire is more like a textbook not a personal journal
“A grimoire is a textbook of magic, typically including instructions on how to create magical objects like talismans and amulets, how to perform magical spells, charms and divination, and how to summon or invoke supernatural entities such as angels, spirits, deities, and demons. Wikipedia”
No there's a difference between a BOS and grim.... Kind of... I'll start off that it's your personal preff especially if you're solitary but if your in a coven it will have its own rules. Some choose to combine but actually a (GRIM) means "the grammar" and its meant to be passed down, history you want others to be able to find when your gone or just share. A (BOS) is personal and it's for your personal beliefs and ritual etc.
Sometimes it is combined though if you want to pass down the whole thing. Then there is the more basic journal. It CAN be in a grim but it's where you do the consents of your skills and see if it's satisfactory to choose to put in either of the books perminantly. I am solitary and I utilize many. That's how I know exactly what I want permanently. I want it perfect for me. Writing in multiple also let's you remember and know your feelings to use because that emotion of comes more at the time you feel you need to match that with the situation you need to practice.

what a beautiful grimoire! I think it's completely fair to keep certain parts hidden - after all, these books can be incredibly personal! (on an additional note, I audibly gasped at the selenite wand. I'm always scared to do more than display mine, simply because I'm worried about it being brittle!!!)
That wand actually broke but now I have 2 wands lol it was huge.
I made a weird way to write my letters so they look very boxy so people have a hard time reading it or can’t read it at all. But I’ve done it so much I can read it easily.
