That was WILD !!!! Your Grimoires feel like MOVIES with all their ups and downs, color and mood changes, dialogues/monologues said in anger, serenity or joy, changes in scenery, abrupt endings... Wow 😳Thank you so much for sharing 😍
Im 55 now. My grandmother took me to meet my great grandmother in Campti LA when I was 8. It was more than just another world. Time seemed to stand still. I wish I had the presence of mind to ask questions when i got older. In many ways i thought they would always be here😢❤😊
I had to stop this video in the middle to comment this: I was born east of Baton Rouge, but I moved to Acadiana ten years ago, and I knew instantly that it was my home. Though I'm not Cajun by blood, I love learning about my chosen home and its traditions through any venue I can so that I can respect those who lived here before me (and their descendents). Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences! 😊
Dear, Dani. I really love this video and your amazing talent of storytelling, through your words, the images and your craft. “I stoped the time to do this” - it is a true intentional magic. Thank you for inviting and giving a glimpse inside your world.
You can really tell you enjoyed the second one more , it just has so much soul in it.. every page just packed with awesome goodness.. I don’t even belong in this niche and yet I’m in love ! ❤
I love your grimoires, the pages are amazing! I honestly never know what to write in mine, a few lines and I'm done, I so wish I could create such magic! 🤗 TFS 💜
Dani you look so beautiful, I just had to comment on that first and foremost. ❤️ Your Grimoire is amazing, I love it so much! I got so happy when I saw your birth time because my daughter was also born at 3:07am!! 😂 Too cute. All the best to you in 2024. 🙏
This definitely gets me wanting to do a journal again. I always start a journal before dropping off about a third of the way through, losing motivation. But maybe I should make that another 2024 goal: start a journal and finish it by the end of 2024...
This warms my heart soooo much. It is UTTERLY N ENTIRELY the bloodline that drives you. Being born in Baton Rouge of cajun folk I see these pages n I feel home. I’ve been on a journey for years of the same concept. Seeing those elders in my family pass one after the other n noticing my children/grans/greatgrans, etc never going to know out side of what lil is in history books (laughs at THAT concept) pushes me to document what I’ve seen. My mother, now 80 n the last living elder of our family on this earth I feel my bloodline call to me, even scream to me at times “WRITE DOWN HER EVERY WORD”. Remembering my granny in her kitchen (an outside shed) her humming as she shucked peas. Talking to us about how her father was a Spanish seamen n landed on Louisiana shores saved his money n became a citizen n sent for his bride n so we began. How when my mother’s french bloodline blended well with my father’s makes me long for pasted days. Stories of my two great grandmothers being in same house, one speaking only French n other only Spanish n neither understanding the other for a while. It’s these stories that DNA tests won’t tell you. At the end of the day… after elders pass, there is only “recorded information”, so it’s up to us to RECORD our experience information so future generations will know more than what ancestry .com will tell them. If not us… then who? My end thought n by the way so sorry for what seems like gibberish of a comment… I tell my niece in Phoenix… “sha (my pet name ofc from cajun granny), birth records will tell you who your people were, but I will tell you HOW your ppl were.” Such a precious book, congratulations as an older Cajun woman who misses her bayou, I’m so proud of you n happy for your future generations.
Couple John Lennon quotes I like: We live in a world where we have to hide to make love, while violence is practiced in broad daylight. John Lennon I cannot be what I am not. John Lennon I really really loved your grimoire! It's just the kind of thing I want to make for myself, but didn't know what to call it. And I love your enthusiasm for the place of your birth, that's so refreshing! Thank you.
Hi Dani! I just got home from work. It's a rainy day here in my little part of Ontario. Hope you had a great Yule/Christmas. Excited to see your grimoires.
Thank you for sharing. I always have to remind myself that my grimorie is a tool just like my tarot is a tool. When I remind myself that it is a tool I don't get caught up in "what" it should look like.
This was wonderful!! I make so many books for so many similar reasons and topics, but for some reason, hesitated on my Grimoire. This is the best inspiration ever: "I showed up". And to keep the rules boundless, and enjoy the book! Do as we please in them, not stick to some formal Tome-type book. That's what was turning me off about it, but nope, it's a "do as you please" deal. My mindset has been fixed. Thank you!!
So beautiful and inspiring. Love your nails and ring. You have pretty hands and a gorgeous face. Also I love the quote “and don’t think you don’t have beauty”
This was so fun to watch!! 🥰 Thank you for sharing this with us! ❤ Reminded me a lot of the old days when I would do the same sort of thing in moleskine journals, or sketchbooks. It’s been a while since I’ve managed to get things written or drawn on physical pages, but I have a big hot mess on a digital journal I’ve been upkeeping these days. 😊 Can’t lie, though, this made me wanna go dig up some of my dozens of notebooks I have laying around in storage to fill up. ❤
I'm in the middle of the video but I had to pause and comment 😄 - your grimoire is so creative and full of inspiration! I always struggle with the structure of my grimoires (I have archer&olive and similar ones), I'm thinking that I need to leave space if I need to write more, I need to work in sections etc. etc. But your approach is very freeing and inspiring 🤍. Now I really want to get creative and start journaling 😄
Hi love grimoires find them fascinating amazing content love listening too American ancestry and history unfortunately peps in the UK don't seem too b as passionate bout this thanku 4 sharing do u teach or do anything online very happy new year too u and family X❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It was such an interesting video. I took notes in my own notebook on the things that inspired me ❤ It’s also prompted me to research Cajun / Louisiana Acadian which as someone from UK, it’s not something I’ve ever learnt about. So that was eye opening. I’m going to include a quote from you in my notebook if that’s ok. “Sometimes just the act of pasting something that I found on this piece of paper made me interact with it. It’s a special kind of magic like I stopped time to do this. It can be as much or as little as you want. It doesn’t have to be beautiful. Just interacting with your book, gluing some thing on a piece of paper. Just showing up” Thanks for sharing your book x
I will now be making a ouija board, casting mat, and Pendulum Compas on my giant fold out page 😊 I've had that blank page for almost 2 decades and never knew what to do with it. I have a binder so what better use than to take it out and speak to the spirits. I will also be laminating it with packing tape 😂 cause that makes my heart happy and will protect the page for forever
I am just watching this video from 3 months ago. I really love your journal, grimoire. I like that you include art & photos along with great information. This is the type of book I like to do also. Enjoyed it🦋🦋🦋
I feel so much more comfortable feeling like I don’t have to finish a journal in one year. I used to try & ended up with blanks at the end & since I didn’t use them I would often gift them for others beginning a junk journal
It's beautiful! Thanks for letting me see your "mess." I can't make a neat journal either. That HP party sounda so cute. YEAH! That happened to me with the Guesso. Good idea with buying all the books.
Coffee and Ancestry... I would so love you to do a long, long video about your thoughts and experiences!!!! +!!! It could, you know, help more people realise things even. Things that you... need to tell us about? ☺️
I read some comments to see if anyone else told you so but not all of them It has to be said your handwriting may be messy to you but it's GORGEOUS to me
I love those and would love to keep one but what I am keeping is things I've done and a small book of sigils I've made and used with their spells. I find that after a lifetime of practice (I'm 56) I just don't write down info I already know. These are my books and if they are wanted by anyone in the family, they'll just have to figure them out lol. I do love yours tho
I love your journal and how unique it it and I just bought mines and I haven’t started yet and I’m still deciding what to put in it and I wish I could do a family tree in mines but I don’t know enough about my ancestors or my lineage but I do have somewhat an idea of what I’m mixed with and i might added into it and I live almost five hours away from Louisiana I’m in the Houston Area.
I love these. Thank you so much for sharing. You're very creative! I'd love to know how you insert things like the plastic card holders into the notebook.
I make the book myself, so when I create the signatures I add these little plastic sheets (for business or collectible cards, that usually go in binders). I usually cut them how I want them, set them in my book pages and then punch holes for the thread and stitch them in with the rest of the book!
It appears more to be a Book of Shadows vs a Grimoire; Book of Shadows as a personal diary or magical record and Grimoire - a book collection of spells and rituals like an instruction manual
Do you know what brand the first book is? The one with the larger pages. I loved this whole video, definitely inspired to return to mine and keep working at it!
Im doing research for mine and ask my mom if she could get me this journal i saw online, i thought it was going to be big, but it is just a small little pudgy thing and it is so cute. I think it said it was A5 or A4. But i didn't know what that means ans im not even made it's smaller then what i thought l. I guess the universe new better 😂

Your grimoire is so chaotic, I love it. I really like the more junk journal style grimoires
My brain thrives on the chaos of it all 😆 it feels free, I guess!
Watching this video is totally making me want to start crafting a Grimoire! 🖤

Acadian witch here, nice to come across a kindred corner of the witchy web🔥🦄

That was really cool to see Dani and you look beautiful!! Thanks for sharing:) 😊👌
Thank you!! 😊
So much wonderful information in one small book. You did a great job. Thank you for sharing.
🥰🥰🥰
I agree about the number 13. It has always been my lucky number and like you said is part of so many of the cycles in our lives.
My favorite number 🙌💕
Dude this was such a great video. I am so inspired! Thank you!!
Such a perfect time to finish your grimoire, being the end of the calendar year.

Im excitedly prepping a workshop in Altered Books of Shadows for a festival this summer. Thanks for the inspiration.
This is beautiful, thank you for sharing 😊
I love your blending of religious beliefs and structures!! Perhaps ill dedicate a spread to Jesus in my own..
Nice journals. Will you do some tutorials so we can learn how to make our owns? :D I like those cute pockets.
I love those and would love to keep one but what I am keeping is things I've done and a small book of sigils I've made and used with their spells.

I miss seeing your beautiful face especially since you closed your boutique I still reminisce about it. ❤❤❤
Oh thank you! 🤍🤍
Loved your Om Tattoo❤
Love it, working on my own. Also, we are almost birthday twinkies, I’m July 10 and one year older, welcome to your year 40!,
Ooh yay!! July babies 🙌🙌
You are always so good to watch ❤❤
10:42 You're right, mess up are important and it honestly looks really cool like that lol. You make failing look good xD
Haha thanks 😜
Please make a video on how to make your own grimoire ❤️📕

I absolutely love water and swimming but in a creek or lake pond lol the ocean not so much it totally gives me anxiety just standing looking at it lol

@@DaniMystic That's so cool! Color me intrigued 😍
You look fantastic!
Thank you so much
I love your style. Definitely inspiring! What is the cover of your handmade book made out of? 😊
It’s a thick textured paper and it’s actually quite durable - at least it handles my chaos 😂
It appears more to be a Book of Shadows vs a Grimoire; Book of Shadows as a personal diary or magical record and Grimoire - a book collection of spells and rituals like an instruction manual
Yes, it has both of those within plus it’s an art magick space
Hey Dani, can you send the witchy playlist link my way, is it on spotify??? If you want :) I love your grimoire.

Do you know what brand the first book is? The one with the larger pages. I loved this whole video, definitely inspired to return to mine and keep working at it!
It was called Markings.
Haven't seen you for a while , you look different , like you lost a lot of weight?! Very beautiful 🤩👌🙌🫶💃🩷
Thank you! Yes I’m down almost 170 pounds
OMG @@DaniMystic that's amazing, do you mind sharing what kind of diet you did. YOU have always been beautiful but you look gorgeous now WELL done. x
Just wanted to say hi🎉
Do you ever go back and reference it?
Are you gonna sell grimoires in your shop again in the future? Some time ago, I was tempted to buy one but then they were all sold out.
I’m planning on a collection or two for next year! 🩷
What are the names of those books? I love themm
These are books I made myself! The older leather one was a notebook I had from years ago!
