For me, with many Oracles, if there's some cards I don't like or don't resonate with or are even triggering, I just pull them out. I usually set them aside in case I want to work with them in the future. Unless an Oracle has a very specific structure, I have no problems just removing cards if it makes the deck more workable for me. What about taking a period of time and choosing to only do readings with your "purgatory" decks? That gives them a real chance and if you try to work with them and it's a hard no, then definitely time for them to go.
Thanks for doing this…..as I stare at the giant box of decks I have to declutter. It’s not so much a “purgatory drawer” as it is the bottomless pit of hell. 😂 So I feel called out enough now to go through them and do something with them.
I loved this video! Really inspiring me to rethink a bunch of my decks again too. I relate to the particular way you agonize 😂 and I hope more of these videos are coming!
Fun video, Dani. I do love a long declutter video - lol. That last oracle you showed -- The Elemental Oracle -- would pair well with the Superlunaris, I think. It always amazes me how we can love the art on a deck but for whatever reason, not ever want to reach for it to read. It's weird how that happens.
I totally relate to what you mean by Stacy Demarco's decks feeling similar to each other. I want the sun oracle too but don't want the overlap. 😬 If you get it, I would love a side-by-side comparison if you could. 💗 Thanks for sharing, Dani!
Dani, The Infernal Tarot is the only one I’ve found with that card stock, and it’s only used for the 1st Edition. I got a second one and the card stock was nice but not my fave. I keep that deck for the shuffle and just make it work. I love The Corrupted as well. I just tell myself it’s the same artist and then they go together fine lol. I have got to do what you are doing. I have at least 200 to move on. I’m not getting any younger and I need to downsize.
The Baroque Tarot is gorgeous and I've almost bought it in the past. My issue is that it strips away all the personality quirks. Everyone feels the same. There's no joy or lightness in The Fool, for example. It makes it hard to read with.
This is helpful for those of us with too many decks!❤ The Baroque tarot feels like it's AI generated. I don't know if that's the case but that's the vibe I'm picking up. The hands and faces are obscured...isn't that a symptom of AI art?
I guess sometimes it's hard to realize we need to break up. And sometimes I try to like decks b/c others love it, like oracle of echoes, but it's a no for me, I can't even explain why. It doesn't hit for me at all.🤷
I keep buying pretty decks but just as with ”pretty men” i rarely/never connect. 😅 i connect with colorful, weird, odd, deep, complex and decks i don’t find wow at first look… i never connect well with the decks that i get attracted to only based on the artwork… took me hundreds of wrong buyings to really accept this as a fact 🤪😜
I'm being gifted the zoomies for Xmas and I plan to use it as a bit of a wacky palate cleanser after a Thoth study and magical work. I sat and sorted my workhorse decks as I watched along and your video gave me a chance to relax after a really busy week, thank you.
Isn't Merryday it's own system? I just can't with obscure systems. Thoth, TdM and Smith-Waite are enough for me. Get the $ you can since you have the very htf book. I don't mind when oracles have cards that are also tarot cards. I use more than one deck in a reading often so it's no different to me. For me the Baroque tarot vibe is filled by Darkness of Light and Terra Volatile already. I'd reach for those first.
I completely enjoyed your agony. 😅 Thank you for sharing. Sometimes you just need the Oracle of Echoes. I have had the first edition since it came out, and it does survive! ❤🎉😊
I just checked my second edition order, and it links to a blank page, website is gone. I guess it’s super out of print. I am keeping my 1St Ed. because of the cardstock, so if you look for it, try for that. The book with it is good. I am going to sell my 2nd Ed. As soon as I find it.
Would you ever consider just taking out the few cards you don't like or connect with out of the deck? I have done that on a couple of decks. It just makes the deck and readings flow very smoothly for me. But you can play with it that way and see how it goes before you let the deck go. I enjoy you giving such an in-depth breakdown on your feelings on the decks too.
The Zoomies is such a cute and funny deck but I also couldn’t vibe. It’s in my “hold” bin. I’m happy that I supported the artist but it will likely end up as a trade table deck.
Hi Danni, I had an inspirational thought. 💡 Some of these decks, on your wondering why you don't use them more. How about doing a reading with them and asked them why?

Thank you for the video. It's funny because the baroque tarot is on my wishlist...lol. it's hard to get rid of decks too, so the struggle is real. 😊
I loved this video! Really inspiring me to rethink a bunch of my decks again too. I relate to the particular way you agonize 😂 and I hope more of these videos are coming!
The ‘let’s agonize over decks’ thumbnail is so relatable! 😂
Totally relatable! How we suffer. 😂
🤣🙌
Hi, I actually love your set up with seeing you. Thanks for this review.😊
Thanks, Dani. I like to see your process.

I’d buy that Merryday deck and book off you! That art looks cool!
Merryday tarot looks so good. I love the artwork 😍
The Infernal Tarot is gorgeous!
I just love a decluttering deck, feels so cathartic.
I totally relate to what you mean by Stacy Demarco's decks feeling similar to each other. I want the sun oracle too but don't want the overlap. 😬 If you get it, I would love a side-by-side comparison if you could. 💗 Thanks for sharing, Dani!

Ugh the card stock is heaven! We need more decks like this

I got the new Kickstarter baroque . I love it. Linen cardstock ❤
Oooh I love a good Linen stock!!
@DaniMystic for me it makes all the difference.
The struggle is real😂😂😂😂😂
This is helpful for those of us with too many decks!❤

I wish she would reprint the oracle of echoes... I'd love to own the second edition.

Inferno is an OOP I am sure you are aware, if you purge it, purge it my way 😊

I 100 percent was thinking, Darkness of Light Tarot is similar but better. 😅
I completely enjoyed your agony. 😅 Thank you for sharing. Sometimes you just need the Oracle of Echoes. I have had the first edition since it came out, and it does survive! ❤🎉😊
Schadenfreude ;)
@teslagoth9401 🤭
Where did you purchase your Infernal Tarot?...All I see is the past kickstarter and no where else to buy this deck?

This was gifted to me a while ago, I’m not sure if it’s in print

I agree with some of you choices but not others can’t wait for part 2
Good idea to combine Queen of the Moon and Elemental oracle
Hi Danni,
I had an inspirational thought. 💡 Some of these decks, on your wondering why you don't use them more. How about doing a reading with them and asked them why?
Great idea!!
Where do you purge your decks, local or website?
I usually put them on my website
