For Sigma's 2nd form you gotta ensure the scythe hits the wall. Causing Sigma to do his laser vision attack which is much easier to dodge. If the scythe hits the floor, he'll do the boomerang attack, but if it hits the wall, he'll do the laser eyes.
This was a great casual review. On the subject of the X4 English cutscenes, not to plug, but a couple years back, we were able to interview Ruth Jarman, the voice of X in X4 and Mega Man in MM8. On top of a ton of new information, we also learned that there was literally no direction at all. There was also no context for anything. Basically, it was a mess behind the scenes. For what it's worth, I think most of the voices did the best they could given the situation. Anyway, excellent review!
this was actually very common in english translations for games. Not just voice acting either. Part of the reason why a lot of text is frequently butchered in games like Final Fantasy 7 is because the translators just got a huge spreadsheet full of lines with no context and had to guess how they were supposed to be presented.
I was 15 when MMX4 came out. Love X1, don't like X2 or X3, LOVE X4. I was SO happy when I learned it was still gonna be 2D, I was so sick of, what I thought was, "the stupid 3D fad".
Sadly I'm not in a Mega Man mood right now, but if I were, I would've watched this without a second thought. Flameguy reviews are always fun to watch. 😁
Im glad that im not the only person who finds the final boss of x4...well, a little bit bullshit, to be honest. It's just weird how a game that is extremely forgiving stops being forgiving in its final moments. It makes me feel like there was just a fuckup in playtesting or something, idk. As for that story and the infamous dub...well, yeah. Im glad you cut the crap. We ALL know just how insanely bad it is. But at this point, it's an arguably more interesting question. What is this game even about? Lol. In how lampooned this dub has been, i feel like we've mostly just ignored this question in large part.
Yeah but then you have to redo the boss rush which is arguably MORE annoying. X1 had these enemies to refill your tanks with AND the final boss was its own stage. They already figured out how to make this not annoying.
Ugh Zero is such a prick I cannot fucking play as him he was so brutally difficult as a kid, I'm pretty decent at games today prolly because of the constant quick footwork required for this game and OG sonic games 😂😂
Jet Stingrays stage is not the only Mega Man game to contain a rail shooter section, there’s that stupid “jump jump slide slide” thing from stages like Frost Man in Mega Man 8, and a less annoying and actually fun one in Wave Mans stage in Mega Man
I don't think I had ever seen anything other than the "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOR" clip from this game. Something about it doesn't look right to me, like it's more detailed than the snes ones, but it looks so strange to me.
Ah yes, the console that failed to have a good Sonic game (and also had the cooler version of Mega Man 8). No, seriously, that's all I know about Sega Saturn.
@@robertlupa8273 well, I personally love it. it has a ton of excellent and unique games (Panzer Dragoon series, Dragon Force, Shining Force 3, multiple arcade ports of shmups and fighters, Nights Into Dreams, and incredible 2D experiences…I could go on but I wont). It’s worth looking into if you like that era of games, since it was super popular in Japan there are a great deal of imports with fan translations or that are very playable without one. I just played through MM8 and X4 with Zero, and maybe it’s the controller or something, but they both felt fantastic to play through on og hardware. Anyways, loved the vid. Hope you get a chance to check out some of these!
I have this for SEGA Saturn. I mean it was the console of choice .🫠 I didn't know anything about SEGA failing at the time. So every cross console game I got for Saturn. Who knew decades later these games would go for 100s of dollars decades later.🤷🏻♂️😂

Honestly, my biggest surprise with Megaman X4 after playing the first three was "Wait, Zero's a GUY!?"

This was a very earnest "My experience with the game" review.
I Appreciate That.
Keep It Up.

Also, to refill the sub tanks, just go to Frost Walrus' stage. lol. You don't have to go back to the Final Weapon in between continues.

Ugh that was the best MegaMan game even though he isn't in it, but the game is harsh and ruthless AF lol one of those that made us tougher back then 🤣

You’ve been playing too much Ultima on Super Nintendo
How dare you dismiss the sega Saturn. I am personally offended on behalf on a 30 year old system

"It's definitely no Shakespeare". At this point, what even is? Comfy video, but that line is a meme at this point.
