Feels like there were a lot of ideas left on the cutting room floor in this game. Little secret side-paths, playable Zero had some potential, having multiple Ride Armours, along with more opportunities to use the charged special weapons in more situations. It's easy to guess that there just wasn't enough time to fully flesh out all the ideas they wanted to put into this game, likely because they had to split development between the SNES-, SEGA Saturn-, and ps versions. The ideas that made it in were nice to see, being able to take out Bit, Byte, and Vile with their weaknesses to not have to fight them again later was a huge step up. Having Frost Shield just about guarantee health drops, and Acid Burst almost guarantee weapon energy drops, was an upgrade from having to charge up your tanks in very specific rooms in X². The pink capsules were something you could really only play around with before the internet days, it seems. Once you find out that the Hyper Chip exists, yeah, there's no reason to stop by any of the pink capsules other than to flip the boolean variables to activate the Hyper Chip capsule. It's too bad most of the charged weapons have only one specific use. The Kangaroo Armour has the charged drill-punches, along with the fists extending out on chains. Most of the time I play this, I prefer not to get the Z-Sabre just because Zero gets to be the one to jump in and hit Sigma with Dr. Doppler's antivirus. IMO this is where the X Series just ends. Every game after this just feels like CAPCOM seeing how much money they can make off of the series more than actually wanting to continue the story or build on the gameplay. They cut out ride armours outside of token appearances, X now has to stop in order to dash and it ruins the flow of gameplay, and with Zero taking the spotlight, X's armour upgrades just aren't a compelling enough reason to use him. Sigma comes back for no reason, the games use anime cutscenes, but then they use visual novel cutscenes, then they don't even bother translating them correctly. No. The X series ends with Zero or Dr. Doppler deleting the Sigma virus, permanently in X3, some "ELF Wars" happening that haven't been detailed yet and probably never will be, and then Zero putting himself into long-term sleep-storage until Mega Man Zero begins. Command Mission could still happen though, maybe, provided Sigma has no involvement in the events of that. It's been a long while since I played that one so I don't remember exactly.
This game blows compared to the previous x2 and X games because "development on X3 was outsourced to Minakuchi Engineering, who had previously worked on the Mega Man games for the Game Boy and The Wily Wars for the Genesis." So it wasn't made by the same people that made previous 2 games (that were awesome) and it sucks in comparison.
most people just whine about the damage lol, which has never sat with me well since i like hard games. this game has problems, like half the bosses spending most of the battle trying to do the same ram attack over and over again.
Because most ppl played the first one on snes when it came out Then didn't play the second or third until much later by one method or another Most ppl also don't like the second one. The abilities aren't as good nor the music X3 just lacked in everything. Point is. 2 and 3 are harder. And ppl are loyal to the first one. To be fair, it was new and unique at the time X3 cost way more then most snes games at the time. Didn't matter why. But that auto decreases the sales
Just to let you know the leg upgrade, blue capsule one, let's you go up ladders faster. As for the chimera ride armor you need it because it's the base the others are just swapping a few parts around and changing the color at least in the lore/story it is.
5:30 I dont get it... Does the secret always have to be obvious? Do modern gamers not get the satisfaction of figuring out a secret or puzzle or do you immediately run to the internet for all the answers??? Next time try to review the game as if you were in that era, then this stuff will make sense. Like the helmet part hahahaha no internet guides remember......
That and saying "i don't really know what the Kangaroo armor does different..." was kinda silly imo. Really should have looked it up if you don't know instead of writing it off.
the ps1 music is how it was meant to be it's the real versions of those songs in CD quality. this reminds me of pokemon remakes, i think the 8-bit music was better when the new music is just the same song as in the full quality. i like you prefer the snes music but technically the ps1 vastly improved on everything the sounds were sounds that they would've used if they could have on snes. x3 is my favorite in the series (x1 after) and i only ever played on snes or snes emulator, but the audio changes were improvements (like them saying last of us on ps4 was what they originally wanted to make but ps3 couldn't fully handle)

After playing X3 after playing X1 and X2 I’ve actually liked X3 more from the other two lol
How did you not mention the Zero Project? It is literally the ONLY way to play X3 and not lose your mind with how bad X3 is
Funny way to say Tsuraranoma

Idk why people don't like this game

I think it is cus a lot of enemies can survive a charge shot and do a lot of damage
Too much backtracking if you want to get everything. The maps aren't that great.
It's okay, but not as good as the first two.
Not as good as X2, but that game was essentially perfection so that’s ok. X1-4 are truly special games
Megaman X3 for the PS1 does have a beautiful anime opening song.
Playing as zero is all I ever wanted

idk bout you but xx3 is probably one in my top5 mmx out there
The ending is a mistranslation instead of "destroy" it's supposed to be "fight".

How dare you commit such blasphemy
Go play your Jazz Man X3
oh btw not only x3 has ps1 verion there is also a sega verions aswell probably the one mmx game with the most versions out there
All the chip stuff was kinda irritating.
What's surprising about it 😂
I never really liked this one that much, and could never place down why. It might just be as simple as not enjoying the music.
X3 music is pretty good though

@@flameguy21 as long as we can agree that the boss track sucks dick. the rest is good though
