I have ran the Ripsaw 2.2" tires for two years, and really loved the performance! Then the Pro-Line Racing G8 Compound was invented, and I had no idea for quite some time. Now I'm pretty happy running the Hyrax, Super Swamper TSL SX/XL, Flat Iron. But I have recently discovered the Duratrax Deepwoods, Showdown, Approach, & Scaler Tires. These Tires are very impressive for the cost!!! I really want to test all four of them now!!! ;)
Finding good, informative videos that tell you just what you need to know is more often than not a nightmare. However, in this case, this was the first video that showed on my search and it was just what I was looking for, thank you. I would also be grateful if you could send me a copy of the schedule for the the 2.2 tyres. Once again thank you and well done on an excellent presentation.
I love the G8 Tires from Pro-Line Racing! I am running a 5.40" tall Super Swamper Bogger TSL on my Bone stock SCX10 II Jeep 2000 XJ, and yeah they do rub a little bit. But I didn't trim out any of the wheel wells! They geared up my final drive ratio, but it's still all good, because I am running 3S anyway ;)
The Flat Irons really needed to be replaced. Those i am using for the snowchains :). But it was a rare oppurtunity to compare them as for once, they were all dismounted :).
+Cash Toews All i did was install a 16t pinion and 87 spur. But i would have done that also if i would run 1.9's. I know the stories about extra stress on gears, driveline etc. To be honost, i never had any issues. Any troubles caused, were totally to blame on my own driving style (on the edge).
Hi, I bought my first crawler rc, this brings 1.9 tires, but I want to buy tires of sand, but only encounter in 2.2, work well if put 2.2 1.9 go where?
+Rodrigo Diocares Hi Rodrigo. If you want a nice good tire that isn't all too expensive, buy some Proline 2.2 FlatIrons. They are the smallest of all 2.2's and work perfect in sand! If you want to stay at 1.9 tires, look for some Ottsix KLR's. They are awesome! Asiatees has many cheap and good beadlockwheels! www.asiatees.com/store?rc_pal=3338393832
+Cash Toews Well, i haven't tried the XL's myself. But people around me say that the Xl is definitely jst that bit more of a bashing tire. Beside that, the difference in size is huge. However, for an allround tire on a crawler, these are my favorites. Both the M3 as the Xl. They don't break the bank. The M3 is a highly underestimated tire, though it is getting more respect again.
+1967illya thank you sir, really appreciate your time to reply and help me out! Found a tire size chart that showed the difference and I didn't realize there was that much of a difference.
+Cash Toews You are welcome! In a couple of weeks i am going to do an extensive comparison with 6 or 7 most common 2.2 crawler tires. Doing so on sand, mud, rocks, wet rocks etc. All with the same truck, same conditions. Gonna be interesting. I even am going to throw an underdog into the equation :)
Too bad to hear so..... I know many guys who love those wheels. Myself included. Consider them absolute value for money. But that's strictly my opinion
Thanks. Good thought! However, They are also held into place by the foams. Last time i wanted them to get of, i had to get some pliers and use cursed the hell out of them :)

The wheels do look good with the " mudslingers"....thanks for the video
@@1967illya the "mudslingers" look like they would be a great tire...
@@rckn-rndlwestvirginiarc4388 Unfortunately... I cried long and hard and gave them away for free. I was that disappointed....

Great video! What song is that called? Thanks!
is the mud slingers tires has foam inserts on it?
Of course... all tires are rused with stock foams.
Do I need to re-gear my differential to run 2.2s

And do how are the flat iron xls compare to the m3s?

sven stas Hey Sven. ik heb ze destijds op Ebay gekocht. Overigens kan ik de slingers niemand aanraden. vreselijk overschatte band!

Mohd Moti Hello Mohd. Get what in India?
The Titus rims stripped on my wraith almost immediately
Too bad to hear so.....

Pit electrical tape to hold weight better
BLACK 0PS BOSS TY. The double sided sticky tape holds up pretty good. Even too good. It is hard to get it of :)
ya I was just thinking if they where going to fall off
Thanks. Good thought! However, They are also held into place by the foams. Last time i wanted them to get of, i had to get some pliers and use cursed the hell out of them :)
