Had this before, with the chef cooking it the same way right in front of you Teppanyaki style. Easily the best fried rice i've ever tasted, just so much flavour from the way its being made. And i'm an Asian that eats chinese style fried rice at least 2-3 times a week, nothing comes close to this for me.

I believe you, I think this goes for most parts of the world. Tourist comes in, sees something unique, and assumes it's the norm there. I imagine this style of cooking comes from Japan though, just not normal (having the chef work on a hot surface in front of you). Just assume whatever you see from other countries through videos might be just as uncommon as this.
