    Kind of wish they had a hybrid between the FCore and the FPro. I love the features of this wheel, but the FCore body and grips are superior. So much so, that I opted for the FCore over this. Seems like the wrong move on Cube Controls part.

      I had the F-Core, it feels more like it was meant to hit a price point, whereas the FPro seems like they put more into it, but the grips are horrible on the FPro. If they blended the best parts, like you said, it would be great. The FPro was a favorite of mine except for the grips, pure trash to me, but hey some people like hard grips. I do not. lol

    Hi, i've watched some videos of your channel and they were very interesting. 🙂👍
    I'm thinking about to buy a moza r9 to use it on my desk.
    In this video i see that you are playing on a desk and i'm very interested what pedals do you use and how do you made it not to move around on the floor?
    Do you have a video about the pedals you are using?
    Thanks 🙂

      Glad they grabbed your attention. In this video I have upgraded to a full GT Omega Prime Rig. So it's bolted onto a pedal plate. My monitors are just attachefattached to my desk but my rig is just on wheels.
      When I had the wheelstand and loadcell pedals attached. I literally put a box behind the wheelstand and up against the wall so I would not have any sliding against the wall. I also purchased a mat to put every thing on because it would increase my ability to brake without things sliding. At the time I only had CSL elite load cells. So it worked out great.
      Now I have HE Sprint pedals and the new pedal tray from GT omega.
      Do you use a wheelstand are thinking of getting a full rig?

      @@grayzedynamics Ah ok, I thought at first everything was fixed to the desk 😉
      Thanks for your descriptions.
      Right now I don't have a wheelbase at all. 15 years ago I drove a lot of Live for Speed with a "Logitech Momo". So slowly the racing fever grabs me again and I plan to buy a Moza R9 with Moza GS V2 and the SRP 2 pedals and use it at the desk. Maybe I will screw a big heavy wooden plate under the pedals in case they move too much. And later I take over the whole then maybe to a rig, we'll see.
      Thanks for your answer. 😃

      Yeah as long as you put something against it you should be good. If you can, a GT omega apex wheelstand works good too. And can be folded up. That is what I used. Worked pretty well to be honest.

      @@grayzedynamics thanks for the info. Did you used the wheelstand with the moza r9, do you think it can handle 9nm?

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад +1

      I used it with the CSL DD and that was 8nm. It is capable of handling at least 12nm. They are quite sturdy. It is more the load cell brake you have to worry about. I had a mat for the ground and pushed it up against the desk. Worked great with my CSL elite load cells. Although you can't use all kg of the brakes. I could use more than enough to be consistent.

      Honestly I haven't since I just sucked it up and use gloves. Lol. I slightly feel like for $800+ you should have a choice. Oh well no wheel is perfect. GSI is $1200 to $1500 and even that's not perfect. No thumb encoders.

      Very true. I live by the 90/10 rule. And this definitely fits. After having thumb encoders and rotary, I could not live without. It's one of my gripes after trying and watching Wills review of the GSI Formula wheel. We spend so much money.

    Not worth it. Got mine, plugged it in and prompted for firmware update. Had a puff of smoke come out of it and it was bricked. Cube Controls will not respond to me even after sending pictures of fried components on PCB. Not sure what to do? I'm out $1K. Can't return and no customer support. Will never buy from them again. But the wheel will might look good hanging on the wall for $1k? UPDATE: Cube Controls was at the sim expo so that is the reason they didn't respond to my emails. Once they got back, they took care of my issue immediately. All is good now.

      Oh no. That’s crazy. They need to respond and RMA it. How long have you had it? I love mine outside of the grips. They are hard but do her a little softer over time.

      @@grayzedynamics I've had it maybe two weeks. It sat in the box for a weeks while I was assembling my new cockpit. The wheel looks great (which is why I bought it) and feels good in hand. I dissassembled it and located the parts that look fried. Ordered them from China, so we'll see if I can fix it. I'm obviously very upset with Cube Controls. In fact, so upset that I ordered a Ascher Racing F64 V3. I'll probably post a video on my experience?

    I need help and can't find any clue on it.... Does anyone know how can i connect my F-Pro (from cube controls) to my SC2Pro wirelles? Wheel searching mode on the wheel can be activated and the blue light is beeping but simucube software is not detecting anything...

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад

      You cannot. The wireless on the SC2 is proprietary and only works with Simucube wheels. You can connect to the pic wirelessly but not to the base. Totally different protocols.

    Don’t like gloves…what about the immersion that gloves bring to the rig?!?!?

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  2 года назад

      Yes it does bring immersion and realism. But with using the GSI the grips feel great and don't require gloves so you can use either way. With the Hyper coming is going to be interesting to see. The hyper just needs to be around 290mm at least.

      @grayzedynamics  10 месяцев назад +1

      Well I have not used the F-64 but I did like the F-Pro but I hated the grips. So that is why I sold it. I think the grips are very important since I don't like wearing gloves. I think there is going to be a really cool wheel coming in 2024 that may be a good fit. I would wait a few months unless you want something now. And if so, the F-Core has much better grips than the Pro.

  • @OhItsThat
    @OhItsThat Год назад

    I just sold mine. I really didn’t like the grips. Very difficult to use with my gloves and I’m so used to gloves it feel weird without them. Also the wheel was a little too small for me. In a formula or GT3 style wheel I like a minimum of 30cm. Beautiful wheel though. I bought it purely for the RGB….no lie! What I’ll probably end up doing is replacing my Cube Controls GT Pro Zero with the new GT Pro Zero that has the nice RGB like the F-Pro.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад

      Yeah I loved the F-Pro minus the freaking drips. I don't get why they make them so hard. It's freaking annoying. Or make 2 wheels with different grips. Making them so hard that I had to spend the money on good Morad gloves. I swear I just need to get a set of padded gloves to race period. The new Omega One wheel I have is awesome. Grips are better than the F-Pro but still not as soft as I would like. Ultimately, I think the best grips I have ever used are on the GSI Formula Pro Elite but that wheel is just too big. The 280 I was happy with and the 300mm on the Bavarian Simtec is great too. I did see the GT Pro Zero but again the grips. Will they use the same material and hardness. That is the real question.

    • @gabox01
      @gabox01 Год назад +1

      300mm is way too big for formula. You will have a competitive disadvantage compared to guys using 27cm. There is a reason why real f1 wheels are less than 300mm.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад

      I gotcha. But in sim I don't know if it's a real disadvantage. I've watched fast guys use a round wheel for everything. Unlike in real F1, the sim world doesn't require such restraint. I had the leoxz xf1 and that was 270mm. And i honestly run the same time or faster. Although I don't race the W13 much. It's a horrible car in iracing. And in real life. Hahaha

    • @OhItsThat
      @OhItsThat Год назад +1

      @@gabox01 I have to 100% disagree there. Real life it’s not even a choice. You couldn’t fit a 300mm wheel in an F1 car and be able to move it. Sim racing though, you can dominate with any size wheel if you have that gaming skill.

    Cube Controls products are very over priced from what I've experienced with them.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад

      I had the F-Pro and if the grips where similar to GSI I would have kept. I think the prices are on par for the industry. Let's be honest most prices are inflated based on what they are. However if you look at the Asher wheels which don't have a screen and the RGB but are similar in price. But then look at the Moza FSR that do for $649. I think it all comes down to the add-ons. I think honestly all the gear from the custom makers could be $50 to $100 cheaper.

    • @KHMR1SNV
      @KHMR1SNV Год назад +1

      @@grayzedynamics I honestly just don't like Cube Controls I've had multiple issues with them in the past and whilst their customer service has been ok at rectifying the issue, the issues shouldn't be happening in the first place with products at said price point.
      Not to mention that I thought their wheels felt a bit cheap to me especially when compared to GSI or Precision Sim Engineering wheels.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад

      I gotcha. Once you feel a certain way, then time to switch. Totally understand how ya feel.
      As far as the comparison to GSI or Precision Sim. Those are vastly more expensive, so I'd expect it to feel that way. I paid $840 for my F-Pro. I looked at the GSI GXL and just to get carbon fiber and dual paddles, add another $300. If you spec out the Formula Elite $1450. Add custom another $160. So yes I expect GSI to be better at those prices. And honestly at that price I also expect thumb encoders and top notch gear.
      I've learned it is all about preference and expectations. I just got the Bavarian Simtec wheel and I love it. It is much better quality than my F-Pro but costs almost twice as much. On par with the GSI. Key is get what you can afford and what you like. Soo many choices. Just sucks we can't try anything out before we buy.

  • @wallstreetomegazoe2963

    Maybe it's me, I don't understand the concept of buying a $500 base and a $1000 wheel, shouldn't it be the other way around, like I have a Fanatec DD1 that cost $1100 and I bought a Podium wheel for $600

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад +1

      No it’s not just you. Trust me, it’s the logic I had going in to all of my purchases. Then as you try these wheels, it’s not the nm that becomes the problem but you just want a better wheel or a wheel that mimics real racing. And unfortunately, they tend to cost more. I have an $900 wheel with a $500 base. However the great thing is, I know I’ll eventually be getting the R21 or the SC Pro 2. So it does move up and is totally worth it. However you are right because before I purchase the F-Pro I would and did say the same thing. Until I used it and was like DAMN!!! Think about this too, the SC pro is the same as the GSI wheel, Will be cheaper than the GSI Hyper. Wheels are pricey. But good point. 👍🏾
