      Thanks much appreciated. It's a sweet wheel. I did like it. I got rid of it, sold to a buddy who wanted to upgrade.

    Hey man good review brother, hoping to get my dd next year. I rented a Simagic alpha mini 10nm which was ideal sweet spot for me as well. good stuff

      Rented wow that's cool. Once you go DD you'll never go back. In the course of 1 year I went from CSL ELITE to CSW 2.5 to CSL DD to Moza R9. I expect to make another jump here in the next couple of months.

    Thank you for this!! I'm trying to decide between R9 with FSR and sim magic alpha mini with FX pro. Leaning towards sim magic but appreciate the review none the less. Very informative channel. Keep pushing 💪

      Appreciate it Willy. I’d love to test out that FX pro. It does look sweet. I haven’t tried their gear myself so I couldn’t say. Let me know what you think once you try it.

    I have to say your reviews are amazing. Thanks for doing them! I have a question, do you know by chance if the FSR Wheel does show more data in Raceroom and Assetto Corsa than in iRacing?

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад +1

      I appreciate it. Thanks. I don't own race room so I couldn't tell you but for ACC it does but not enough personally. I think until they open up to simhub or allow you to create dashes with the software. It's really not as powerful as it could be. It is the only drawback of the wheel. Which is sad because the wheel is absolutely awesome. Especially for the price. If your looking for a wheel with a screen. I'd still recommend because I am optimistic about them eventually updating. Just may be a while before they do. Always easy to do like I do and use and old phone as a dash. Hahaha

      @@grayzedynamics Thanks for your detailed answer. For me it would be enough if tire wear, ers, drs and things like that are working. Unfortunately there are no information which things are shown when using Raceroom, that's why I was asking. But it's good to know that it shows more data in ACC. Still I'm really not sure if it is worth the higher price compared to the GS wheel and there might be a new version of the GS wheel soon, so maybe waiting for that makes sense as well. Still your review and answer helps to make a decision!

      @@simracingwithhandicap502 yeah I think I would tell you to go with the GS. Although the size of the FSR is ideal tho. Especially if you do formula racing. GS can be used for both but the FSR size is nice. There are more wheels coming in the future so being patient isn't a bad thing.

      @@grayzedynamics The thing is I don't want to make a wrong decision as the wheel I get is what I will use for a long time. But I can't wait too long at the same time as I don't have a Moza wheelbase yet, I will buy a R9 wheelbase together with a wheel and my current wheel is approximately 7 years old Thrustmaster T300 which still works, but I'm not sure for how long

      Gotcha. What games do you play and what type of racing will you do mainly. Do you want versatile or same games regularly? I know you may only do 1 or 2 but what’s the overall goal. If it’s to be versatile. GS all the way. 300mm gear for everything. More open wheel, F1 FSR. wanting variety, get the CS like me and a few extra rims. This way you have round for oval and drift. Get a turn Racing 305 for gt and Formula. And save money for the Moza handbrake. 👍🏾 make sure to click my affiliate link. Hahaha

    Hi there. I have the R5 wheelbase with the standard ES wheel. I've seen somewhere that the FSR formula weights 3kg, not sure. Do you think I will loose FFB detail due to higher inertia? or this is bs ? 😅

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  6 месяцев назад +1

      So with the R5, you would likely lose a bit of feeling b/c of the weight of the wheel and the max torgue only being 5nm. However, with that being said, it is likely not enough to cause major issues, but you will feel some dampening b/c of the weight of the wheel. If I were in your shoes and you are looking at this wheel, I would potentially look at the Moza R9 first. The 9nm, would be better fit for any headroom you would need, especially if you think the 5nm is enough. Unfortunately, there is no easy path to a little more NM w/ the R5. You would want something lighter.

      @@grayzedynamics tough decision haha. Actually I purchased the R5 like 6 months ago, coming from a Logi G923... At that time I said to myself "c'mon, too much money, get the cheaper (R5)". Now I'm in love with that wheel. I'm watching reviews of the KS and GS, but man... the FSR is just perfect. And 280mm diameter is a key point to me. Anyway, thanks for the insights and for the video. I'll come back to share my decision. 😉

      Yeah with sim racing the best thing is to buy once cry once. Once you like it, spend the money up front. The FSR is nice and has some great features at a sweet price. Just remember, there is no Simhub support and that will limit the wheel. The KS is very good and would work great on the R5.

      I'd also say, if you are going to upgrade, if that be in your future Simagic and their FX-Pro is pretty sweet.

    How does it compare with the leoxz

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Год назад

      I’d say it’s better in some ways. The new Leoxz pro uses Simhub and that’s much better but the size of the FSR makes it far more versatile. Both ate good. Grips are better to me on the Leoxz but if I really had to choose I’d get the FSR.
