  • Running is the action of propelling yourself forward.
The depletion of your lactic acid, the dreadful last stretch, the symphony from the beats created by feet is all joyous. Pushing through when you feel cramps and fighting to catch air inside your airways humbles me and I can’t capture the experience into words. It has to be experienced. I run because I need to. Asthma makes my airways inflamed, narrow, and swell up making it difficult to breathe. Without medicine, I’d be dead. I’m forever indebted to the lessons running gave me. Although I’m short of giving running the attention it deserves, I hope to strive to promote wonderful ideas over time.
I postponed this video as running is an integral part of my life and I wanted to present it to the world in the most beautiful form possible. The health benefits, experiences, the community of runners are all amazing and I’m grateful to have a little taste of what it feels like. For those beginning, ignore whoever belittles you. Make sure to constantly put in the drills and prioritize what matters. Relish the moment and savor the personal victory you own after training. It’s okay to boost your self-confidence. You earned your victory and nobody can take that away from you.
“Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even.” - Muhammad Ali

This video is dedicated to running. Running taught me that norms, laws, generalizations, are meant to be broken by yourself and showed me hope. Thank you.

Beautiful video, huge props for pushing yourself to new limits. It’s by accepting discomfort that we can achieve new hights.

Ice skater Yuzuru Hanyu has asthma too. This shows us how human minds are powerful and we even improve our physical conditions.

This was painful and inspiring. I have a deep desire to run and train but I have asthma and it can get very bad when running when it's cold so I just stopped altogether. This ignited that desire for running again.
