Wenger. His stats at Monaco aren't that great 20 in 105 games even though Wenger thought he'd be a good striker, he kept henry on the left because of his pace. And his stats were even worse when he went to Juve. 3 in 16.
So he wasn't really shaking the planet before he came to the Gunners.

Quite sad he couldn’t win the ucl with arsenal , but other than that a talent and more than competent player. The invincibles will never be forgotten. Recently have been watching a lot of bundelsliga matches , the German league is quite fun and exciting when you see the competition like Stuttgart, dortmund, bayern , leipzig , etc

Isaak was as good while at Sociedad or so with Odegaard. He was in London in January 2022 but that transfer fell through perhaps.
I really like this transfer because he shouldn’t have too much prsssure to begin with. He doesn’t have to start every game with him and Havertz both rotating, His potential is scary good!

Im an Arsenal Fan from Germany. He struggled massively in the First half of the Season but then went Off the roof. I think in the future and maybe even now on his age and in the current market he would or will be a 100 m signing. If its the time to get him its now because of his "cheap" release clause

Pythagoras in Boots made a great point in his video on Sesko last year that Red Bull play their 4312 formation because they believe it's the best setup for enabling an effective press. The other great quality Sesko has is he's a defensive monster, pressing hard with great stamina and often makes many defensive clearances from corners.

Mudryk and caicedo as far as I know, it is more tongue in cheek than anything chill out. Ultimately right now no one knows what’s going on, agents want money they create stories of who is really keen to generate interest and increase value in their assets. Journalists are paid to print any old crap, they also want money, if they are all selling a story it gathers pace and gets attention and views. I wouldn’t take anything too seriously until things are actually signed and announced

I'm actually not concerned about Sesko's weaknesses, because his strengths are so scary for opponents. You have to deal with him centrally, and that makes more space down the flanks. More space for Trossard, Martinelli, Saka, and our real marquée signing, Another RW.

Genuinely i think he will be a brilliant signing...bought him ages ago on football manager...if Arteta guides him the way he does he will be elite this year or next just needs to be a bit more profilic...better money than spending on Osimhen i think...use this window to be smart and buy other key players...would love this window to have Sesko, Fofana from Monaco, Williams or Bakayoko as RW, Diomande or Hato and Steele GK (homegrown)...sell Nketiah, maybe Jesus, Partey, Viera, ESR, Nelson, Ramsdale (sad to say)

Marquee? No, he's a 20 year old project striker for £55m. He'll be under no pressure to lead the line for us immediately. He's a natural goal scorer in an era filled with strikers that can't finish, and is effectively an upgrade on Nketiah.

Smart signing if we get him not convinced with the strikers out there; Vlachovic inconsistent;Oshimen and Isak injury prone and Gyökeres its his first season getting goals;Watkins is good but very similar to Jesus;and Toney isn't good enough for Arsenal ;Sesko is raw but he got so much potential especially with Mikel there by 24 he would be world class;learning from Kai will benefit him

We are ready and locked in for this guy!
It's probably that rare combo of physical presence, pace and two-footed finishing that's sold us on him - everything else we can coach into him. Needs some work still - what 21yo doesn't? - but there's a lot there to work with. He could be almost every type of striker rolled into one if we get it right. And it leaves plenty for the winger we all want.
His xg Vs goals stats show he is a great finisher.

When you consider the ST market, our depth in that position, and the relatively lower price tag (compared to other strikers named)...Lower price tag allows us to go after more signings.. I think this is a good deal. He doesn't need to be THAT guy right away..we can slowly integrate and develop him..However, a young player like him needs to play to develop so hopefully he can get up to speed quickly..I have concerns but in today's market, I'd probably take it
You're selling me on Sesko. My only concern is his passing/link up play. Seems pretty fundamental for our CF's/ST's
Normally would be worried but different games require different types of strikers... we can't win the league with only link up play... we need moment players and clinical finishers

Sesko seems like a smart signing. We can beat anyone with Havertz upfront so we don’t need to immediately replace him. What we need is someone with incredible potential coming on as a sub or playing cup games.
Yeah...Raw is the right conclusion...Do one on Zirkzee who happens to be top on my list of preferred forwards...His range of passing really excites me to a point where I believe he is a good coach away from replicating Kane's style of play in the forward role.

With Havertz playing well up top.We don’t really need a 20+ goals a season number 9 urgently.Obviously that’s what we wanted but.With this guy being 20 with so much potential he doesn’t have to play much.We could develop him into a “20+goals”striker.It seems Artetas man to man coaching is brilliant so I’m happy about this transfer
Passing stats don't really bother me as long as those shooting and conversion stats look like there's one helluva finisher in there somewhere..... And that's all we need. Passing and pressing will all improve under the mikel arteta system

I believe this a deal that should happen because its just a type of prospect that doesn't come easy his style is unique the speed, technically gifted the power the all round game he his perfect
A number 8 and getting timber at lb will be 10x more important than a st mid and lb were such more of a worry this season

Striker should be firing shots and not passing. He's a striker to score goals.
Actually feels like a city move buy a player who up and coming turn him into a world class player then possibly move him on as the team develops.
Don't mind him replacing Eddie. But how about getting players to get us over the line in any competition? Because obviously, the current one can't even reach a final. Rather prompt academy players instead of getting players "for the future" while there's no guarantee that they will stay for that "future" specially if the club is not winning.
This is what they don’t get.. they think the players are fans of arsenal, maybe one or two but the majority of them will want major honours against their name.. they won’t be waiting for projects to finish, they see a signing like this and think here we go again, another season of hoping and chasing only to come up short because we simply ask for proven quality and never get anyone that can get us over the line.. look at the pinned comment on this.. he’s a project so we shouldn’t be expecting much of him is basically what James is saying.. stop making excuses and demand a player that doesn’t require two seasons worth of projects to get us over the line.
@@hundo4000 I want us to start winning major trophies so it can convince key players to stay like Saliba. Liverpool managed to keep salah, mane, vvd, Alisson to their almost retirement age and young arnold because they reached CL final, won it the following season, then won the league the following season. So the club has giving them real chances of winning trophies every season. The longer we stay trophyless (4+ now), the chances of players staying will decrease. Even Saka, an academy player and a fan won't follow kane career path and waste his prime.

I've bought Sesko and Yousouffa Moukoku in every FM since 21 playing as Arsenal and they've been killers.
This transfer makes so much sense. Replaces Nketiah and raises the level. Allows us to spend heavily elsewhere I.E midfield and winger. Perfect signing
sesko is a good signing. clear upgrade on eddie and has around 2 years to develop as understudy to kai
Sesko is a project signing... so I see it as a positive that he has most of his experience in a 2-man attack as the 3-diamond-3 is the longterm formation of Arsenal.
But for now, we need a forward that will bring an instant significant impact especially with his clinicality.
If Sesko is signed that means he will be backup to Havertz and the star forward will have to be a LW.

Firmino-Havertz
Salah- ??
Backup:
Origi-Sesko
The good thing is we're not begging for goals so he'll have time to develop as a rotational player for cups and low block teams! Personally i favour Gyokeres who's played in the premiership before and has really refined his craft

We aren’t getting Isak, so I think Sesko is the best option this summer. His stats are quite impressive as James points out. The price point is right. Osimhen is actually overrated when you look at his stats. Gyokeres is older, and I’m not convinced he’s worth the money it would take to get him. Not a fan of Toney, and Watkins may be better the next 2-3 seasons, but the price for a player in his late 20s, not sure that’s smart business.

We want to win the prems next season so Isak is the striker we REALLY need as he’s used to the prems already & is a killer in front of goal. So he would likely hit the ground running just like Rice did in his first season with us. But Newcastle have tried to price Isak out of a move by slapping a £200million price tag on him! Sesko does seem like a very good alternative still! I trust Arts, Edu & the rest of the team now to make the right signings.

My priority signing for next season would be the French midfielder Fofana as replacement for Partey.
This video just convinces me that if we go with Sesko we need to get Gyökeres as well. They then battle for the 1 and 2 striker positions.
Fofana will be a beast. Suit the team better than most may think.
He is a goal scorer like Haaland and Ronaldo. Dont worry about passing stats. If we sing him will be outstanding.
At the moment, he's more of a Haaland kind of player. Other than decent finishing, he needs to develop other aspects to be elite. He seems physically stronger than Kai Havertz. I think I'd rather get Gyokeres or Watkins, but I'd be pretty happy with this buy too. I still think we need a world-class LB and a midfielder should Partey leave. I would go for Alphonso Davies, one of Gyokeres/Watkins/Sesko, and Guimaraes, then obviously a whole bunch of sales.

Im sorry he is great but no. If you really want a striker then get osimhen if you dont, just forget about it we dont need it that much. Get leao whenever possible and our front is pretty much complete. Would much rather focus on the lcm this summer if the guys i mentioned are not available and just get a winger alternative(cheaper) for now.
