Today I'm going to be looking at your suggestions and media reports on who Arsenal should sign this summer. There's plenty of huge names to discuss including: Benjamin Sesko, Bruno Guimarães, Marcus Rashford, Xavi Simons, Alexander Isak, Frenkie De Jong, Viktor Gyokeres, Osimhen, Onana, Neves & more! Развлечения
Which 1 player do Arsenal need to sign, lads? 🎯
de jong
De Jong is perfect
Yankuba Minteh, perfect Saka backup
Ollie watkins
Bruno G
Massive fan of Xavi Simmons.. I don't understand why PSG are considering loaning him out again. I feel as if he could make an instant impact on that team, what a gem he is!
It is very strange. My best guess that they why they played last season there’s not exactly a natural spot for him but with mbappe leaving you’d think they’d want to make it work
He doesn't want to play for PSG again
He doesn’t want to play for PSG but PSG doesn’t want to let him go at all. Understable from PSG after Mbappe leaves on a free. Simons might be going on loans to wait for his contract to expire at PSG.
Crazy decision with Mbappe leaving
the only reason i could think is that enrique plays a 433 and maybe there isn’t any room for a 10 like simon’s to fit in that team and you’re better off selling him for a huge fee than forcing him out into the wings or into a different midfield role. but even then he’s just too good and young that i wouldn’t think that matters
Would love to see these for smaller teams, West Ham need an enormous rebuild this year and have been linked to about a miilion players so far! Would be interesting to hear your thoughts
Nice idea man! 🎉
I think Xavi Simons on loan with the option to buy would be the biggest possible upgrade this summer. I would play him as a left 8 and push Rice back to 6. Simons and Ødegard would be fantastic together and I also think it would give Martinelli the boost he needs and if not, I would switch Martinelli after next season with Musiala.
Buddy this is not Fifa 😂. First of all, Xavi would come without a buy out class. PSG would be mad to add buy out class on such young and talented player. Musiala is not coming anywhere near us.
Simons is way too attacking to be an 8
@@sathyantinku9177 I know that - it's based solely on knowledge from Football Manager. 🤣That said, I don't think you're right. I seem to have read that Xavi Simons has no intention of playing for PSG again and that PSG have no intention of selling at this time. A loan deal with an option to buy could therefore be a good compromise. Musiala was a bit of a stretch, but with Xavi Simons on board, there's a good chance that Arsenal are the English champion team when they try to get Musiala and then it might be less unrealistic. 🤓
@@aron4795 Most people would have said the same thing about Ødegaard before he came to Arsenal and Havertz was everybody also wrong about. It seems silly to judge something like that before you've seen it. The thing is that players can adapt to both tactics and teammates. Incidentally, I think I've seen several sequences where Simons participates in the defensive game with good success. And with Rice at 6, there is room for a more offensive left 8 and this can be combined with a more defensive left back than Zinchenko has played. ☺
This guy... Just bloody great at making RUclips videos.. Thank you, Joe!
Great Suggestions! Sesko is the guy over anyone else!
gotta say, your analysis was incredible. subbed.
Neto would come in and start at LW and rotate RW. Also if we are playing right footed timber at LB, a left footed LW would make a lot of sense for Arsenal.
Would be an unusual role for him imo
This makes no sense at all, not only is he not a LW but hes also very injury prone as Joe even mentioned in the video. If we were to get him, the only logical option would be as a backup RW to Saka, that way its not too bug of a drop in quality along with limiting his minutes to avoid further injury.
Yea , but then would miss 2/3 of the whole season to injury
Shows how much you know about your own players. Timber is two footed.
@@jeffery8792 Timber is actually naturally right footed.
The Xavi Simmons shout is a great one tbh, only if we were to consider moving Martinelli down the middle to rotate with Havertz to provide a different profile up front. That way Xavi starts and rotates with Trossard at LW, then have Martinelli & Havertz rotating depending on opposition, then Saka starting with potentially Neto or Bakayoko to rotate with him at RW.
We as Arsenal fans genuinely have no clue who we are signing except for the obvious links up front (Sesko). Even the rumor mill is dodgy when it comes to who Arsenal are looking at. Arteta has shut down these leaks and it sucks lol
No leaks = No teams comming for our targets and better prices
@@sebastianra354 everyone fishes in the same pool. its not like we are going to pull something out of the bag
This was some of the best content I’ve seen from you. Yes I’m saying this because I’m an Arsenal fan
Joe these meatballs have gone from a 8 to a 10 now that I have this
Spot in all of these. I would just swap Gyokeres and Sesko. I know it would be a lot of money, but it appears that our priorities are CM and ST. Since De Jong seems to be 60m or so, I would spend 100+ on the striker.
You seriously cant think gyokeres is better than sesko
@@spooked2104 For me, he's not just a better player right now, but he's a better suit for Arsenal too. Way more creative than Sesko. Since last season, our goals were spread across 6 to 7 players. A guy like Gyokeres can bring these guys in much more efficiently. Whether he's a better deal, that's up for debate, for sure. But Arsenal squad is already young, so a striker getting into his prime wouldn't be a bad idea. And just to be clear: I would be over the moon with either of them. Gyokeres is just my personal preference right now.
@@spooked2104arteta can make him a better player
@@spooked2104 they are both great strikers but is it really completely unfathomable to think the dude that hit 58 goal contributions in 50 games is the better striker?
True. Gyokeres is an instinctive finisher. But Sesko can develop into huge striker for us as well. I would say buy either of them, sell them for a higher price in next 3 years, develop Chido-Obi and play him as striker.
Arsenal need someone like isak reliable striker, long term LCM , Proper LB and Winger that can challenge saka
Where will havertz play if a new LCM amd CF come?
I think Havertz is much better than Martinelli. I would much rather buy a really good LW.
Isak is anything but reliable he’s always injured
In what world is isak a reliable striker have you seen his injury record does he ever play more than 30 games a season? Also missed alot of big chances its annoying when a lot of fans latch onto one player and keep talking about it.
Most of these are surprisingly spot on and I agree with almost all of them. I just think Bakayoko would not get much minutes here; the ideal Saka backup is someone who would pick up plenty of minutes on the left where rotation is more likely but be ready to fill in for Saka at any time which raises the appeal of Williams.
Yeah Saka’s replacement is so tough
@@joethomlinson_
There is no such thing as an upgrade on Bukayo Saka but Mitoma would be good value to play behind him. Unbelievable progressive dribbles, mad accurate passes, gut-busting workrate and Bukayo level football IQ.
@@joethomlinson_ what about Summerville? Can play left and right if needed, maybe wouldn't demand 3000 minutes per season and has an extremely high ceiling to grow.
I agree with a lot of this, but a defender would still be sensible. If Timber's playing left back, then beyond Tomiyasu there's still no real cover for White and Saliba. So either a versatile young right CB or a left back would be very welcome. I also think either Simons or Bakayako would be great, but we'd only need both if we sell ESR, Vieira, and Nelson. Then the combination of pace and cover for Odegaard would be brilliant. Combine that with Šeško, Steele, and one of Bruno Guimarães and de Jong, and we'd have had a great window.
Yeah I can see that - maybe it’ll be Hato.
That's literally kiwior tho, who asides from a really dodgy performance against Bayern Munich, has had a really solid season while zinny and Tomi were injured. Sure he's not world class but he's a quality backup for the team and is sure to improve with time. If anything I'd be more worried about a cover for the right
@@joaomarques4030 Yes, I agree. If Timber's playing at left back, then assuming we wouldn't play two left-footers together (Gabriel and Kiwior), a right footed centre back should be the priority. If Diomandé is too expensive, I'd be happy to consider a project player - perhaps someone like Bella-Kotchap.
@@joaomarques4030bro watch more games please, Kiwior is NOT a rightback or right centreback
Think obviously you dont wanna disrupt the partnership of Gabriel and Saliba..but competition in positions allows rotation(Champions league)and higher performance like Pep with Dias,Stones,Aké,Gvardiol,Akanji🤷🏾♂️
Very true!
I'm throwing in leao too as a dream marquee signing this window. If not the ultimate reach would be camavinga but ik that is a super difficult signing and expensive. Those are my two additions to the priority.
Just can’t see him costing less than 120m
Could You do Liverpool next?
Would love to see some of the players tou mentioned at Arsenal. Realistically, i think the only one who we're in for is Sesko. I just cant see Frenkie happening with his wages and I can't see Simons either. Strangely, I can see Neto instead.
My dream list would be Diomande, Bruno G, Frenkie, Olise, Isak. A more realistic list would be Hato, Onana, Neto and Sesko.
Neto plays both sides to be fair so he can be cover for saka & compete with Martinelli for a starting spot at the same time. His injury record is a concern though
I’m an arsenal fan and I 100% agree. Defender is not our priority. Timber is back and like saliba when he returned from loan will feel like a new signing. Yes maybe buy one for squad depth but not priority
Timber can play across the back 4, however I think it’s because Arsenal fans are seeing a possible exit for Zinchenko and if he does leave (hopefully not) we will be after Hato as a backup to Timber.
Can you do one of these videos for Liverpool please mate?
As a Chelsea fan, FDJ, Sesko, and Nico Williams, would make Arsenal unstoppable. Not sure they have the 150M or so, but IMO that puts them right there with City and Real as UCL frontrunners.
Over 3 years, DeJong’s insane wages would negate any savings over buying Bruno.
Frenkie’s also quoted as saying he wanted to follow the overmars path or Ajax, Arsenal, Barca when he was growing up. Might not be the order he thought at first but arsenal may be a step up from Barca at this point 🤷🏾♂️
think murillo would be perfect for west ham. ogbonna leaving, aguerd leaving so space on the left, and i think it could be pretty interesting having murillo bomb forward and cresswell tucking in at the back for cover
The perfect window for me is:
Antonee Robinson
Douglas Luiz
Michael Olise
Alexander Isak
I agree with you thinking about Joel Hato not to get him as we have Timber
Jorrel*
Can you do a similar one for Yanited please
Getting this for Chelsea soon
I know this vid is about incomings but I just wanted to put the outgoings I wouldnt mind seeing which could fund a huge transfer budget if we needed it there are a few more names we could sell but these are the ones I'd list if it were up to me with estimated values of what I think we could get
Ramsdale 25m-35m
Zinchenko 20m-35m
Tierney 15m-25m
Tavares 12m-22m
Lokonga 10m-25m
Partey 15m-30m
Smith rowe 25m-40m
Nketiah 25m-35
Total= 147m-212m
Would love to see signings you would get for Ipswich Town who have a lower budget and something different from top teams
Nice idea mate!
YES FINALLY ARSENAL CONTENT
De Jong, Rice and Odegaard would be an incredible midfield.......in FIFA24. This would potentially be the most unbalanced midfield in Europe.
Morgan Whittaker as a backup to Saka? Young, scored a ton of goals for plymouth and maybe can progress under Arteta
joe in the eminem outfit
A great left winger would be awesome. I think martinelli was also decent at right wing. So that would mean a backup for both sides.
absolute agree
I would argue Diomade is class. Sporting would be open to a offer lower than the rc according to sources meaning well if Arsenal can get him for 55 mil and sell zinny and tavarez to generate 38 mil. Than thats a transfer 17 mil net spend on him
finally got a ‘dooglas looiz’ in this video, thanks joe!
😂😂😂
Rashford would be a great signing for Arsenal!
😂😂😂😂😂 In what world would the guy who's awful for United be good for Arsenal? Think about his performances and stop just going off his name
About the LB/LCB role, I think arsenal are selling Zinchenko, and that would mean the only Left footed defender in the bench would be Kiwior. In a misfortune or a busy period, that probably would be less than we need
If Zinny leaves he’s a must replace, I agree
I think Hato (or other CB/LB) is a replacement for Kiwior Or tomiyasu , who have been linked with moves away
I've heard from people who watch eredivise that hato is not ready at all. I get its a for the future move, but the fee I don't get it right now, especially when we'll need strong backup.
Tomiyasu is a class player - I would just stick with him
@@ell1cshis fee will only rise, and as someone who’s watched him closely he’s ready to play behind Timber and slot in during those smaller games. by next year he’ll be much better and much more expensive
Tomi was extended in March. I doubt they would sell considering his versatility and the "I dedicate my life for this club, and for the supporters." quote...
Let's be honest, Kiwior only got minutes because Timber was out for the season. You bought Timber to replace Zinchenko.
In my ideal world, Real need a little bit of cash to get Mbappe in the door and Tchouameni becomes available. Generational talent and would be a huge upgrade on Partey with more tactical flexibility.
Love Bakayoko as a shout. Development role, excellent impact sub, could fill in on the Left / compete with Martinelli. All around good move.
My first choice would be a bit of steel in the spine though. Bruno and De Jong are unrealistic. I'm not sold on Zubimendi. Despite past relations, I like Bennacer.
do liverpool next
It’s funny how both Xavi Simons and Martin Odegaard were both seen as failed wonderkids not too long ago and look at them now. Expectations break players sometimes especially as kids but they put their head down and just worked and now there some of the best players in the world
Joe, Rashford signed a very expensive deal until 2029 and is not producing. It’s possible that it would hurt his evaluation, because other teams have to present him big money for him to consider switching teams.
Barca doesn’t have to sell any big players now because we have just signed a new Nike deal that would bring in a 150 sign on bonus and 125 million per season for the next 10 seasons so we won’t have to sell any big hitter this summer
Maybe I’ve read different articles
125 per season? that aint right G
@@Drkeepup do your research we getting around 105-120 million a year for the next 10 years it’s a 1.2 billion dollar contract
Liverpool next plz
Do Newcastle
The Finance angle is an odd one…. Considering it was widely reported the Raya loan deal was to ensure PSR this year and Ornstein and the Athletic have reported numerous times Arsenal are one of the clubs who need to be financially savvy this summer too.
Your the first person I’ve heard say the contrary
Club competition bonuses + big sales this summer from the academy (Nketiah, ESR etc)
I beg we keep Amario Cozier-Duberry and have him back up Saka
do this for chelsea!
Regarding the LB, the signing would probably be backup to Timber
For future videos, reckon you could put chapters in so we can just click the screen and be reminded of the name (and spelling)? :)
Yeah! Will do!
@@joethomlinson_ nice one! ☝🏼
Do this same video but with Liverpool
Tactical nous, above 6 foot, versatility make of that what you will
Am I the only one who would love joao neves. He is really good and young. Would love him next to rice
He would also cost the moon.
What about Tsygankov ??
Can u do a spurs one pls
to me Murillo would be a replacement for kiwior if we sold him while Hato would be more of a replacement for zinchenko
But that's what Timber was bought for.
FDJ IN THE MIDFIELD WILL BE A DREAM😍
9:24 "Arsenal are a better side than Barcelona"
Man 2024 is crazy, try telling that to a football fan 5 years ago. How the times have changed😭😭
Don't say Jeremy Doku level, Doku has 11.96 progressive carries per 90
Timber was a RB/CB option. He is not a LB, he was just shoehorned there because ur options were weak and White was playing great, I feel white will slowly go into a CB (I feel saliba will go madrid in a few years) so timber would be our RB replacement
I wonder how many have actually seen Hato play. He doesn't look at home at left back at all. Also he still needs to mature before thinking about the premier league. One of our best talents at Ajax of the last decade. But still very young.
Honestly I don’t think many people in the English RUclips space have seen more than RUclips clips, many only watch English football except for the big games and even openly admit that. However I do think a lot of people in the space just speak as if they are super informed on every topic, might be an English thing like taking pride in constantly mispronouncing foreign names that can be easily looked up
That's echoing what I've heard from my dutch friend. Heard he's a big talent but isn't anywhere near even premier league level, let alone title challengers.
Yea. It's normal not watching dutch football. And no one can see everything. Seen his described almost like is a kind of Gvardiol or in this case White. While I would describe him more of a Pau Torres or Laporte. Also Hato just turned 18. He is still maturing. The premier league is no place to do that in my opinion. Hato has great technical ability, good enough pace. But just needs experience and hopefully with our new manager this season he will get better guidance and structure to develop.
Out: Ramsdale Zinchenko Tierney Tavares Partey Lokonga Patino ESR Nelson Eddie
In: Steele Hato De Jong Sesko Bakayoko
How much is too much for Steele?
@@joethomlinson_ we still need to pay for Raya I don’t really mind who the backup is, if we can’t get Steele for like 6 mil just keep Hein as number 2
Jorrel Hato ain’t leaving Ajax and Timber never played as a right back for Ajax. Don’t know why everyone in England thinks that he did.
Xavi simmons has to be a priority. A LW who is just as good as a CM. And PSG are litterally looking for a loan.
Is Joe still hyped about Wout Werkhost?
Liverpool next!!!
As a psv supporter 30 mil and I drive bakayoko from Eindhoven to Londen
🤣🤣
We more need to sell before we go mad on transfers we have made a loss last 5 seasons sell nketiah, esr, tierney and Nelson that’s 60-90million sitting there doing nothing or injured
Same reason why I don't support US team sports
Euro predictions when????
Simmons has always sounded like a headache. He’s moved soo many times for a young player and if he was actually the best in the world he’d be staying at PSG. The loan fee would be a lot, as well as covering all his wages so definitely not free
Would Smith-Rowe + Nketiah + £50 mill get Isak?
Keep waiting for him to break into YMCA in that hat!!!!
yeah im all for timber at LB, dude is a menace. Think we can spend our money elsewhere.
only 100M+ players worth it would be Isak and Musiala IMO
Honestly with Mbappé going I expect Simons to stay but PSG are dumb
In your bag in these videos
People calling Hato a good signing haven't seen him play and only want him cause of his age
It's all well n good but Go convince Stan then I agree with pretty much everything you say m8, forget convincing Edu, Stans your man for me? 😊
Hato would impact Kiwior not Timber
I dont understand where will havertz play of a new AM and a new CF are signed.
CF because he is better than Sesko. Sesko will grow behind Havertz.
Rotation!
@@lexxihd5843let me preface this comment by saying I'm not an Arsenal fan, I'm a Liverpool fan. That being said, I remember at the start of the season when everyone, including Arsenal fans, were saying how shit Havertz is. I was constantly saying that he is a good player. I saw him at Leverkusen and he was breaking records in the Bundesliga while there. Chelsea mishandled him and he was a player without confidence, but there was still the same excellent player there. We saw as the season progressed and his confidence started coming back, we saw that he is a very good player. I still think he is better suited as a CAM and driving with the ball, but he had a great season at Arsenal.
@@garymaidman625 Id normally say he's better at AM too, but Rices poor progressive passing makes it harder for Rice to play deeper. Im also not a fan of a double 10 setup. Havertz isn't comfortable as an 8. I think he can be world class as a striker and thats where i would play him.
Get the badge in Joey laaaa
Get the cap in!!
no gallagher?
Yeah Timber for sure.. no need for Hato
Well Hato… why stick with timber when we don‘t know what happens with him - a lot of players with a ACL won‘t recover to 100% for 18months or can get another one. Tomiyasu should rotate more with White and then you have Timber as the only real leftback (I would sell Zinny if a bid above 25m comes in). So a 18 y.o. Hato won‘t be bad
But a lot do. Imagine if Liverpool just got rid of VvD after his knee injury. This past season, he was arguably the best CB in the league.
@@garymaidman625 Yeah but it took him long before get to his best again
@@aaraufreak but Liverpool shouldn't have gotten rid of him. Arsenal should stick with Timber.
Neto isn’t needed too injury prone
JOE + Arsenal == Watch & LIKE!!!
Hernandez from AC Milan for a lb
Jorrel Hato, Youssouf Fofana, Benjamin Sesko, a second choice GK and sign Raya on a permanent deal. Sell Nketia, Nelson, Ramsdale. Promote Nwaneri. Job done 😅
Raya £27m
Steele £3m
Diomande £60m
FDJ £60m
Xavi Simons £70m
No Sudakov 😮
With the possibility of a player(s) swap + cash for osimhen, depending on how much the players reduce the cost by, I don’t think the osimhen signing is as unrealistic as previously thought. Not to mention psg’s supposed loss of interest in the pursuit
0:07 mum I made it
