    I had to repair a vertical pipe and after deburring I was worried about the copper pieces in the pipe. So I came up with a way to deal with it that I don't think I've seen in your videos. I bunched up a bit of paper towels and put it in the pipe, deburred the pipe, then pulled it out with a pair of needle nose pliers. Worked great.

    • @Got2Learn
      @Got2Learn  2 года назад +1

      Yes, just be VERY careful that the paper towel doesn't get lost in the pipe or it'll block the pipes, I just hold the tip of the shaving while I deburr it, always works, cheers!!!!

    Depending on the pipe, water temperature, condition, etc. Perhaps it might be better to just shut the main down. If it's a heating pipe, shut it down at boiler, then do the repair. just my 2.

    I use them at least 2 or 3 times a month. Pin holes are a nightmare in 60-100 year old buildings and being able to actually "fix" the leak is huge for property owners. I can stop the leak for as long as I need to until I can fix the supply line.

    These are great kits. We use the same technique at work but with just larger jackets and use liquid nitrogen as the way to freeze. Most of the places we use these are in places that can't have a shutdown or the systems are too large or complicated to drain down then later refill, hospitals, hotels, high rise buildings. Biggest line we can freeze is 32 inches, most of them are 1-8 inch lines though.

    Hi mate,
    I have a Virax Frezzing pipe machine, it cost only 1000-1200€ in France.
    For 100€ you can rent one for a day.
    I’de prefer the machine to the kiboch because in France we use 14 and 16mm pipe not the 15mm.
    And in a heating loop or a heating system it don’t work properly..
    if you have a water heating system with lots of rust the water freezing machine don’t work because the freezing cork can moove in the pipe

What i've always been looking for, is a way to make crimped SS braided hoses, like for sink/washer/sprayer/whatever connections. many times i'm installing a custom system, and would love to be able to make my own custom Stainless Steel braided hoses, but haven't found any info anywhere.

I'm plumbing a water filter, softener, and uv, and am looking for a clean way to plumb into it to purge air when I have to change the filters. Any suggestions? I'm already plumbing the 3 valve bypass, but I want a way to just quickly purge the air in the a basement without it getting through to all the upstairs fixtures. Thoughts?

    Kenny pipe sold this rig 15yrs ago. That PVC freezing is definitely questionable. If you can't stop water from dripping then you should just sell them a new valve. We used a pro press on any copper over 1 and half just to keep from draining all pipes above you in high rises. Pro press a valve on with a bucket under it and you are ready to go

    • @dontbanmebrodontbanme5403

      To me, I would use it more for those situations where, even after draining the line, there's that drip, drip, drip that you can't stop. Most times, for that I'll just shove bread into the line. However, I had one case where after I turned the water back on, the bread didn't dissolve, but instead shot into a few sink aerators and even a washing machine hose, causing me to have to clean them all out.
      I've always wanted one of those freeze systems, but they're too expensive for a homeowner to justify. This KiBosh system looks interesting. I'll probably buy it.
