There was another at some point, when I look to my left, which made me happy. It was perfectly timed with what I was saying. A big white cat passing by, sitting down, and lokking as if listening to what I was saying. Made me smile :D

Arith, This video was very inspiring to me. I have just moved into a temporary apartment while my cabin is being built and I miss very much my ancestors altar. You helped me bring them a lil closer to me in this time of transition when they are needed the most. I luv your white wand series particularly. Your story of your grandmother and the toad sticks with me to this day.

Wonderful Dear Arith . . . so i'm back here two days later, haveing not the chance to listen - I am so grateful for your videos and sharing the person wisdom of your perspective. What you are saying here is so important to me - I feel like my life has been repeatedly thrown in a tornado and i'm constantly running around trying to catch the pieces. I am so tired and sick. Read that in any order. This time of year is a special treat of both my birthday and 'christ mass' - and reminders of my family. Reminders of personal trauma . . . and as you mention it generational as well as cultural trauma . Thankyou for these words. By the way, damn good advice for dealing with the living too. What you said at 35 to 37; i thought of my family; that i have known them before; i think further back of what they ran from . . . I had a friend that constantly went on about my karma becuase of the family mess - and i do not agree in this thinking; but i do think we make trips with other souls a number of times to heal each other; and that's not as romantic as it sounds. You are a very good teacher, becoming an Elder.

You are the first person I have encountered who has said that not every ancestor is worthy of veneration. Every other source I have read/listened to take the approach that ALL ancestors are good, wise, and worthy. This always troubled me, as there is a deep, multigenerational malevolence that runs in my family, and I feel that it would be truly unwise to interact with certain souls. Thank you for putting into words my own intuitive hesitation.

Isn’t humility, simply the curiosity to wait and reserve judgement, and the patience to listen to that which is perhaps very discordant or painful. Sometimes the reward of patience, is patience. I'm so happy to hear you talking about this subject of our souls after death and the necessity to take care of it, it seems that even between spiritual people this subject or escape from them or are taking too lightly. The point that there are too much trauma and generational trauma and we need to deal with it with the living and with the death because we have not being doing the right spiritual work for many generations. I always love your content this is so much on point, so in need that I had to leave a message to thank you once again for your words!

The prayer is so beautiful that I took the time to type it out for personal use. So far I haven't gotten past that because every time I pick up the video I keep going back to the beginning. The series has been wonderful and those words are trillions sufficient for what I am feeling. Thank you for taking the time to spend time with each important point. Are you considering your red-haired ancestor?
The ancients thought that the dead received knowledge on their death. The sagas and Snorri tells us of people, including Odin, that consult the dead for knowledge of the future.

    Hi Arith
I discovered your site a few months ago while researching Shamanism n have been voraciously following the “White Wand Series” ever since.
( I also review the suggested older videos to give me deeper insight).
I was familiar with the concept of Animism, but not the impact n affects that human actions n non-actions can be.
I will be moving into a new home this next month n have some questions about how I can be as respectful n non intrusive as possible with land n nature.
    Also, 2 specific questions…
How to deal with dogs n land, n what about bringing in plant from the outside for gardening?

I love the depth n range of knowledge you bring

I am probably redundant by now, but I really love and enjoy this kind of videosorveglianza, because there is so much to learn and understand. Since I've recently started working with one of my ancestors (non an angry one, luckily, but there's still some pretty traumatic stuff behind), understanding how to approach better the dialogue is of capital importance, so great timing!
But I have some questions, too...in those families where no histories of the family members who lived before are told, or in case someone is adopted into a family, how can someone approach this work? I have troubles finding the threads of my family tapestries, because the knowledge doesn't go beyond my great-grandparents...and knowing some people who were adopted, and having seen how much would they benefit from such a work, I just wonder which would be the best approach...
Thanks a lot, and hope you are well 😊

"My bloodline ends with me" kind of vibe. I'm there. I'm an only child, the last one of my family, the youngest of a long line that can be historically traced as far back as the early Iron Age. I don't think I will ever be blessed with children, even though I wanted to be a father. It almost happened with two different women but, sadly, the gods are cruel and the children were not meant to be. My legacy seems to be these videos.

I’ll leave a comment, but just because you asked for one, kind Sir! ❤️‍🔥
Obviously, I love and cherish the extreme
💎KNOWLEDGE💎 of the “White Wand Series” above ALL your other videos, because they are the realest… most personal.
But here’s my question: I’ve always wondered what your archeological colleagues think of the fact that you Actually BELIEVE in this stuff!
Do some of them try to discredit your scientific impartiality because of it? Because you’ve “gone native” as the old British explorers would say?
Because, If so, I would turn that accusation around on your colleagues, And accuse THEM of being an unable and unfit to study this material from their position of a “hostile witness”, who thinks this is all just made up stuff.
They might think it’s interesting… They might even believe they have RESPECT For the peoples they’re studying, but ultimately an Atheist or Christian, Will ALWAYS Approach this stuff from a Patronizing sense of superiority. Thoughts?

    •  7 месяцев назад +5

Hello there! And thank you very much for your support and feedback. Well, that's a very interesting question :D In the academic world, when dealing with history and social and human sciences, there's always been a strong reluctance in accepting beliefs that "cannot be proven by science", let alone believing in such things, and much has been dealt with as superstition or as "folklore" (the latter having become (wrongfully) a synonym for superstition). As an archaeologist (hopefully soon-to-quit that field) I've noticed that the great majority of my collegues become atheists, another smaller percentage become pagans, and very few retain their previous abrahamic beliefs. We deal with a lot of systems of belief, so it is understandable people either not believing in anything or starting to give their first steps into other spiritualities that are not the usual ones of our current Western societies. There's another smaller percentage (in which I include myself) of people who were already pagan or animists before entering the academic world. The access to information on past societies and their belief systems and indigenous religions, ends up reinforcing our beliefs and works, because it helps to understand (as much as possible) the mentalities behind these beliefs, and that also helps to understand certain behaviours. Pagan, Animist and Indigenous Peoples within academia, are helping a lot in the understanding of the mentality and beliefs of many past and current societies, and there's been a considerable change in the scientific approach towards these themes. Of course, this is something recent, and quite hard to work through. Of course there's still plenty of sabotage or our work being denied and neglected. But we have to know how to separate between work and personal beliefs, but also how to find evidences that better explain a belief. On a personal matter, we don't need to justify why we believe in the things we believe, and we do not try to convince anyone. On a professional matter, we just have to show why it makes sense certain behaviours according to certain beliefs, and why those beliefs exist. Thank you, have a wonderful day! :D

I think it should be understood that the modern understanding of necromancy is very different from the understanding of the past. In the past, necromancy was not directly connected with the world of the dead, and it was rather a category of demonology, where any magical action not related to the creation of God and the soul was equated to necromancy.

    •  7 месяцев назад +5

The term "Necromancy" comes from the Greek word "nekuomanteia", which was another word for "magic", like "mageia"; "nekuomanteia" was the sole act of communication with the dead for prophetic purposes. The acts conducted within "nekuomanteia" in the ancient classical world, follow the same patterns we seen through archaeology on earlier societies. It was, solely, a magical-religious expression towards the dead. The incorporation of demons comes much later with Christianity, especially with Catholicism, following Hebraic traditions dealing with powerful non-human spirits.

    • @biorn-X
      @biorn-X 7 месяцев назад +2

@ I completely agree on the topic of Greece, however, the understanding of necromancy that is meant in our time differs from the initial understanding of this term. I'm just talking about this.
      Modern necromancy comes from fantasy.
Perhaps another word would be suitable for the definition in the Northern Tradition.
