Good morning, my friend. The intro music is soothing. Did you compose it? I watched this during my breakfast and before getting ready for the clinic. I am now just going out to the clinic, and I am hoping that the dressings will finally come off and I can get back to normal.
I enjoyed this very much. The British Celts also have a similar dread of meeting the Sidhe, believing that they will be abducted by the sidhe. The Sidhe are thought to dwell in hills etc, places that echo of tombs or graves. Will talk later.

The bell toll beginning and rifts which, actually seem to permeate the Landscape you've captured during the intro. Most fitting for today's topic.

Absolutely brilliant episode. Coming, myself, from a Celtic background, this helps me to understand Herne the Hunter, and the wild hunt more clearly. I believe ( and I think others agree ) Herne and the Green Man are more recent forms of the more ancient Cernunnos - the Horned God.
Fascinating how ancient ideas and concepts continue today in evolved forms.

As someone that follows both the Norse and Celtic traditions in my personal craft. I completely agree with you on your point of Herne and the Greenman being newer versions of Cernunnos. I have studied up of him quite a bit. As I like to spend a lot of time outdoors doing things that always bring me into the woods. Such as hiking, camping, and hunting. So I work with him quite a bit. Same goes for Njord who is the god of hunting in the Norse tradition. I even carry a copper bullion coin with me everyday that has a picture of Cernunnos on it. I also carry one that shows Odin riding on his trusty steed Sleipnir on the front of it. And an image of the tree of life on the back of it. I find them to be an awesome tool for work with these two gods. I would love to get some more for the other gods and goddess in the future. I use them as a kind of statue or representative of the gods or goddess that I am trying to work with. And they are also simply just cool lol. Merry meet and blessed be. Hail the Allfather.

I am currently fighting off Covid and languishing in bed, fuelled by a fiercely enervated spirit (life force) while cycling Death (yet again! So many deaths in this incarnation…but I am older now. Vulnerable). My family and closest friends have abandoned me. They fear my final Death that much.
Perhaps Odin will bless me at last. Or he will return me again to this body, with greater knowledge, wisdom and peace.

Ancestors have genetic connections to the living, kind of like being tuned to a similar radio frequency. So, if there are ancestors who are held in contempt by the living due to harmful behavior etc., the power of their lingering desires can still influence the living. The approach I was taught is to appease all of the ancestors so that their desires will not influence you in a harmful way, but to purify oneself (bathing, etc.) afterwards so that their energy does not stick to you.

I have a different perception of the wild hunt, not taking into account any of the post-christian ideology, when I think about it I feel a connection to nature and spirit, the thrill of the hunt. I see myself with the masses of my ancestors in spirit guiding and running with me. Like a wild wolf, experiencing life to its fullest, and honoring my family ties. Running through the forest looking for her, to beg her to wake from her sleep, to come forth and bring spring. I might add its not all warm fuzziness, there is an element of purging of those things that no longer serve. ❤

Thank you. I have been doing the spirit offering in Jason Millers books recently, and in those you invite in absolutely all spirits in all directions to participate in the offering. Based on recent experience i am unsure if it is all that wise to invite in both good and bad spirits.
I would definitely recommend either casting some kind of protection spell. Or maybe wearing something that is connected to protection while do this. Just to be safe. It could be as simple as a mjölnir necklace or maybe a rune of protection. It is always better to be safe then sorry.

Not something I’d personally do but I understand why someone might. I typically invite good spirits and grey that are not malevolent. You must have to clean your space a lot.

😂 bahaha I understand the differences in dialects and accents and requiring certain "personalities" for it to speak each....I use an old fashioned British Generals Queens English at times for humorous reasons and a fake Russian Accent Ina rather masculine tone when comparing Canadian Architecture to Soviet Union Architecture or comparing Canada to communism.....apparently it's convincing enough that I have convinced some Canadian men that I, an Inuvialktun woman who rarely even left Canada; am Russian, it's quite hilarious!!! This remind me of Fionn Mac Cumhail leading his Fianna across Ireland and Gwyn ap Nudd leading his wild hunt in Wales. Regardless, the Odinic nature manifests in other pantheons and I daresay, within our minds, hearts and souls. We cannot escape the Odinic transcendental emission of our natural surroundings but rather embrace it. Deep contemplation shall lead our conscious, if you will, into the dimension in which the Odinic manifestation transcends our conscious into the realm of otherwise known as the fourth dimension. Odin self sacrifices on the "wind-swept tree" while Efnysien sacrifices himself into the cauldron of regeneration and Eber Finn is killed by Erimon, a coded reference to the Odinic transcendental manifestation becoming the wild hunt.

Thank you very much! Indeed I tried to pass my emotions onto that melody. It started off as improvising, inspired by my emotions towards a woman, but she and I were not meant to be. All the footage in this clip was recorded in the mountains, not far from where I'm originally from. The Portuguese mountains of Serra da Estrela.
