The factory selection sounds really good and the variation in tones is crazy. But if those aren’t good enough, you can add your own IRs. Plus one can also EQ the sounds in the box to get further changes.

I Agree with your Video I also own the Mesa IR Clone Great Sounding Device for recording XLR DI and Speaker out from my ENGL amp head output speaker to my four twelve cab V30 speakers Sm57 microphone and an overhead room Boom mike. Insane Sound. Yes, Glen Fricker is a Id....t

@@BillMezines Ohhhh, sounds like you’re getting some great results. Glenn has definitely become a bit tiresome. But hey, he has a bigger channel

Makes me wonder if relying on an all in one (such as Digitech) is a bad thing..? I enjoy your passion for all aspects of guitar, not just your amazing music, but your experience and knowledge of the creative process, the technical aspects of performance and recording. Please, keep up the all around look at guitar!

As you know, everyone hears and feels things differently. Plus there’s people’s needs, do you NEEED midi connections for example? I don’t right now, but maybe in the future? All we can do is buy it and try it out.

Do you know why the CabClone IR and IR+ look like they’re already “legacy” products on the Mesa website?
How does the IR length compare to other boxes?
I haven’t found many decent mashups of the CabClone against any other load boxes. Hearing it head to head with the Suhr would be great!

Yeah I don’t know why they look like legacy products in their site. IR length is in the manual somewhere, I don’t remember off the top of my head. I could do a head to head but it’s comparing apples to oranges. They don’t use the same cabs, and the only similar speaker they both use is the V30. I will say the IRs in both are most definitely pro captures.

Fair enough about not having sound examples. They both sound great but the feeling of playing was different between the two and I don't know a way to express that with sound examples.
