Thank you very much! I'm sorry, I didn't make any plans! I just sort of formed an idea in my head and went with it. The dimensions of the box from the outside are 8" x 8 3/4" x 1 3/4". I basically fit the box to the tea bags. You could also make yours deeper and have the bags sitting upright inside, as opposed to laying flat. Good luck!
