For the neck if it's available on the AH I would get a "Horizon Choker" for any caster/clothie. However it's a blue BoE drop so you can't depend on getting it always.
I wish you would do this for other specs like Tank or heal. When classic appears it will not so easy like on the PS to get good gear. This series would be extremely helpfull in my opinion ^^

What about Woestave for shadowpriests? The best wand you can get, with it's +11 shadow dmg. And saying that a staff that you get in a raid (ZG) is PRE-raid BiS is weird.

This guy is clueless rofl he didnt have a single item that was close to prebis, head: crimson hat from strat ud, neck: tempest talisman, shoulder: boreal mantle, chest: robe of The archmage, wrist: 12sp bracelet from dmn, main hand: mind carver, off hand: av exalted tome of The icelord, wand: korrak quest wand, hands And boots: rank 7 pvp gear, legs: skyshroud leggings, rings: eye of orgrimmar, band of The unicorn, trinkets: briarwood reed, eye of The beast. All of these Are from end game dungeons And Are easy to get

Triune Amulet (sp?) is MUCH better than the Choker of the High Shaman for casters. It drops from Whitemane in Scarlet Monastery Cathedral
