This started in U.S. Slavery and Colonization of Africa. A slave woman who was mixed was thought of more highly in Soceity because her blood wasnt just slave blood. I lightened my skin from dark to brown. I honestly did not like the way I looked and also got tired of the colorist comments from people within my race. Im black American btw. And for those that say that you can get cancer from skin lightening, It depends on what products you use. Mercury and stereoids can damage the skin and can cause cancer, these are products that I do not use. And not everyone who lightens their skin wants to be "light skin". Many of the women and men who I have come across that do this want to be brown skin not dark and not light. I forgot to add that I dont have nor want friends. I keep people out of my life. I live a very private life. I get hated on amd envied alot by women so I have no interest in anything women have to say. Most are jealous and go thru great lengths to harass, stalk and bully me because I tend to get alot of attention from men. Which does not bother me, because I stay to myself and keep it moving. I stay away from bitter men and women.
Nonsense, you hate who you are and The Most High will not be happy with all of you who want to change the color you are. Low self-esteem is what you need to work on and change not your skin. Trust me light-skinned people do not have it easy. I am so proud to be dark-skinned and I don't care who does not like it or getting some type of temporary status. You, women, need to get some help if you don't like the skin you were born with. Nonsense, If The Most High made you dark who are you to change that. Trust me in these last days you better choose sides, will not be good for you in the end, changing your skin is like coveting someone else's skin. Read your Bible Exodus 20 and all of the 10 commandments and all the laws. In the old testament, you are also not to make any carvings on your body. You belong to The Most High, but of course, you ladies don't read your Bible, do you? Or you would love yourself as you are.
I agree with the message … everyone has their own approach. As far as scripture is concerned - most people don’t know what they don’t know, or what they need to know. When they remain adamant in their delusions after they’ve been offered the truth, then all one can do is pray that they will wake up. It’s not just the skin lightening, but pointless facial & body reconstruction, provocative attire, language and overall lack of pride & modesty we once had in ourselves. I am saddened and appalled. God did not abandon us. We as a people have abandoned Him. Lord forgive us.

Black division is our kryptonite, and black unity is white supremacy's kryptonite!
If we were unified, as a race, our children wouldn't feel this way about themselves.
"Black Unity and organization can solve the majority of our problems today!
Amen!
ABSOLUTELY!
I feel like this just pumps up the lite skin people even more! Please let’s get over it!!!
I had a lack of understanding because I didn't date a dark skinned woman until I was about 27 years old. Embrace your Beauty it's a God given gift!
The Willie Lynch syndrome this was instilled too hate ourselves Black and Brown is beautiful always will be. Self hate is very sad
I love myself and my skin color, I'm proud to be African
This is the result of not loving yourself and other people reinforcing this by saying that darker skin is not beautiful. Black people all over the world need to embrace their black skin
This is just SAD low self esteem black women😢!
Low self esteem as well
I hated when my mother tried to change my skin color when I was younger. I grew up protesting against this and I'm glad I did!
Skin bleaching , smh obviously its not just becky doing something with her skin..what yall clowns doing emulating them folks
I love my blackness
W.L. is laughing in his grave laughing at us
😢 this creation of race sure has lasted a long time! I think it’s cemented into the psyche of Black folk….will it ever end?
Not gonna happen in this lifetime but thanks anyway
Look at character, not personality, and know the difference. 😮
It's up to us. Come on y'all. Time to stop looking outside ourselves.
OMG! This is still a THING??? I get the sentiment. Not trying to shame anyone. I just thought we were beyond this.
Sadly, it is…
These women will destroy their bodies to be excepted, a dark skined woman is very beautiful
I hate this topic and what lightning is predominantly used for. I brought skin lightening products ONLY, and only to get rid of my strawberry legs. Nothing worked. I paid upward $150 for a product that only lightened the black spots. The product turned the spots brown but still very noticeable. After using a particular lightening product, my legs are simply beautiful! I was so self conscious about them before. I love them now. I also stopped using the product. Im sorry they felt the need to use this to become light skinned 😔 because buying what i did, and the looks. I was not looking to be light skinned.
🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️..... Stop the self hate... PLEASE!!!
Stop hating dark skin please.
We. Must. Get. Our. People. Out. Of. This. Mindset.
When you love yourself more than the validation of others you do well!
Great video coverage Queen 👑 this sister is lost! I blame her family not showing her that BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL!?
I feel so sorry for this young lady bleaching her skin, instead of loving 🥰 herself the way Hod made her, she doesn’t realize the damage she is doing to herself. These WS have really brainwashed her. She is beautiful as God made her, if she was meant to be lighted skin God would have made her that way.
I'll never bleach my skin 💯
I wish mine was darker. Seriously.
That's right sista girl , be dark and lovely forever and own it
Just do you, someone not liking your skin color is a "them" problem. Be proud of what the Most High gave you.
The ones that do it they look ridiculous it’s mostly the sisters who come from the Caribbean do it more than American born women. And what freakin benefits are they talking about?
Yet many of the skin bleaching creams and products are made in America, like the famous Nadinola, made in Tennessee. These US products are pushed heavily in the Caribbean, since the Caribbean purchases over 40 percent of US exports.
Indians in India too. These countries had Plantation Slavery and colonialism where the child of the "Master" who was white and a slave girl became light skinned which blacks in Jamaica call "high colour". The "Master" make sure such a child is raised in the the "Great House" and gets an education. Dark ones remained in the fields cutting sugar cane in the hot sun and get lashes. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
More American women bleach than Caribbean women..
African women every where, unfortunately, practice this ritual because of their insecurities.
@@Patty-ys4pvBlack American women don’t bleach their skin because most are medium brown and light brown since they are the copper colored indigenous people of N.America and majority are mixed with white Europeans.
Colorism was fuelled by black parental upbringing. Particularly in Caribbean background where put downs color jibes at the children is a norm we need to banish to extinction. It does happen in American black homes too. Proof being in an interview where Michael Jackson (God rest his soul) said his Dad use to take jibes at him, hence why his color insecurities. We black people need to break that slave ridden affliction once and for all.
You can't say the whole of the Caribbean. My parents are from Barbados and brown or lighter skin tone is frown upon. Dark is king.
@@rosahacketts1668 I'm dark skinned so I agree. Commercially when it comes to employment promotion roles, it swings in favour of the lighter toned skinned in the Caribbean islands and African continent in the majority.
@@rosahacketts1668 I knew it lol.
I wouldn't say lighter skin is frowned upon, necessarily....but dark skin certainly isn't.
Ugly people are frowned upon lol. Regardless of skin color.
But it's all fun and banter.
I actually noticed at the airport darker skinned people haul luggage etc. The lighter skinned ones are at the desk jobs, banks etc.
We love dark woman so pretty the best woman come from Juda black love his dark sister don't let them tell you anything different love youll they lie too you love yourself
Willie Lynch,, there suffering will be legendary,,,
They WILL NEVER EVER ESCAPE THE JUDGMENT!!!!
There are plenty of black man that would date chocolate melanated sister. Let’s be honest, this is an insecurity issue, and it came from television shows and dolls. That’s why I always wished we had our own (not Oprah’s OWN) , positive television networks, radio broadcasts, and products. Remember people, black is beautiful.
Not just chocolate, but dark chocolate. I love it, yet this crap is making it even more rare.
More like self-hatred. Colorism is a silly term that doesn’t deal with the actual problem.
Yep. The lady who spoke was full of self hate. She tried to talk about being picked on as a way to camouflage her hatred of being blk and blk people
Psychological conditioning !! They’re laughing at our people. They have convinced some of us that “light” is right. That is a lie from the pit of Hell.
No, society sees dark skin as a problem, so she is fixing it.
@@Patty-ys4pv
Majority of society is dark skinned fool.
Black is 😍❤️😍 beauty
Can’t watch the clip. This is so disturbing.
Reasons why I do not associate with many
I lightened my skin from dark to brown.
Nobody hates being blk and having dark skin more than the dsbw 😂 and y'all walk around here everyday projecting y'all insecurities on other people lol
@@jeffrey-Epstein00Do you stop to THINK why that is? Probably listening to idiotic rants like yours!
From the words of the Honorable Marcus Garvey & Bob Marley WE MUST EMANCIPATE OURSELVES from MENTAL SLAVERY ONLY WE CAN FREE OUR MINDS. 🙏🏿👸🏾🙌🏾
they crazy for bleaching. love who you are. they hating . it’s causing sickness later.
It's either Bleach, or sleeping On White sheets Forever.
This is sad to hear!
I love my dark skin! People need to realize black skin protects you from a lot!
N that's y they oppress us
This subject is not just in our Blk community, the WHITE BEAUTY STANDARD IS WORLDWIDE and across every single race unfortunately. 😢
YOUR CORRECT!!! THE FOLKS?ARE LOST IN ESAU WORLD WANTING TO BE ACCEPTED BUT THE SCRIPTURES SAID. DUETERONOMY 28:37, 50. DANIELS 11:32.
Nonsense, society tells her dark skin is a problem, so she is solving her problem..
INDIA LOVES IT
Sometimes
Most skin bleaching is done in India. 80% nations in India are black but they hide behind British made 'Indian'identity and refuse to even admit they are black.
India is a multiracial, multicultural , multiethnic, multinational, multilingual country, the biggest hidden secret of the world.
What happens when she takes her clothes off in front of dude, and the rest of her is as dark as Wesley Snipes? This is why this perversion doesn't make any sense.
People can bleach their whole bodies.
SAD!
We are the Gods of this earth not some singular anonymous being in the sky.......we come from the gods of which the ancient sumerians speak of! That is why we are HATED some much because the powers that be know who we truly are!
Bleached skin doesn't even look good.
At the end of the day, a person makes the CHOICE to do this. Don’t blame guys for the choices _you_ make
She never said that😑
Who never said what?
Once, young and ignorant. Now, old-er and wise. Ergo, with much authority I say: There is no meaningful improvement in social position; when one risks the perils of skin color/tone transition. Worth and esteem is never exerted from without... always exuded from within. The late GREAT Nigerian "Fela Kuti," produced a song about skin-bleaching. The song is entitled "YELLOW FEVER." Every victim of colorism is encouraged to listen to it.
Love the skin tone you in not trying to act funny I know a lots of hatti and Jamaican women does that stop it be proud of your skin tone even the European which they was our culture
Lots of American and Asian women too.
Thank God, I’m a dark skin man; it seems like this is a dark skin women problem. All of my friends and associates who are dark skinned don’t have this issue, in fact, some light skinned women told me they prefer dark skinned men over the lighter counterparts
What.the.hell...i don't know what to think as a black woman I don't know..
They wannabe white
Go to black countries we love our black people
I really think there is only one reason a person would bleach their sun-kissed brown skin. And that reason makes me sad for them..
Your beautiful just the way you are please dont change
This is the saddest thing I've ever heard of the self-hate is real. How can you say that you are proud to be a part of your race and bleaching your skin. That alone shows who you want to align yourself with and worship by any means necessary. That much self-hate is very sad and I'm embarrassed for them. If they don't get a man of no color do they start bleaching the kids skin when they're babies. I cannot believe that you can be in a black dominated country and bleach your skin. Is 99% of Caribbeans and Africans black so I don't understand. That is the number one item sold in African and Asian countries. Here in America it is in every Asian and African store. I just can't believe that people would do this kind of thing to themselves I love my beautiful black skin.
Never never !!!! this is 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Well if you are bleaching your BEAUTIFUL DARK SKIN then you're saying that God made a mistake. Last time l checked God is perfect. Therefore your dark skin is PERFECT. STOP BLEACHING!!!
what is the opinion on white people getting tanned? tanning salons? spray on tans?
Same thoughts.
Let them... it's not nearly as serious.
GOD MADE ME, FORMED ME IN MY MOTHERS WOMB, I'VE LEARNED TO LOVE THE SKIN I'M IN. THANK YOU JESUS.
Dark chocolate is the MOST attractive. smh
Blaming colonialism or looking for historical roots doesn't cover the truth that most black men crave light skinned women. Most succesful black men in countries like usa or brazil have white wives.
Foolish Foolish Foolish
You are gorgeous
Nobody is forced to do this. Do not get it twisted. She is doing it because this is the subculture that she wants to be a part of. This is a very low class mentality btw. No offense.
