    First off, thank you for reviewing this tool since it's pretty new. I'm on the fence between this one and the newest Launch X431 Pro 3 Ace Elite. Apparently, the newest X431 is the top international unit. From what I'm reading and watching videos, the Launch units sold on eBay and Amazon are not supported in the US because the software they are running is not for the American market. This is why they are much cheaper than going through US dealers, plus the naming convention used on the US models is different. Some people have reported issues with these units not being able to perform the functions they claim to support for their particular vehicles. The only support available is China-based, which can be a nightmare.
    This new Xtool seems to have the same tools, but the Launch units have cool features like a toolbox library where you can download actual service manuals and step-by-step instructions for repairs. I'm not sure if the Xtool has that feature. My main question is whether Xtool runs promo deals on update packages. I believe you get three years free, then it's around $350 anytime you want to update your tool. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

      I just reviews another launch product and honestly, they are not a good as the newer Xtool products. For example on launch the tool could not perform a basic key fob programming and overall it was harder to navigate.
      With Xtool your get the three years and afterwards you don’t need to renew as the unit keeps working but you won’t get new updates. The year will be 2027 and honestly there is a pretty good chance that you won’t be working on 2026 or 2025 vehicles.
      Good luck on your purchase. The only companies that match Xtool quality currently are Topdon and Autel.

      @@RANDOMFIX Yah I've seen others say the same about some Launch tools having a hard time with keys. I do remember when Topdon had first come out they offered lifetime updates on the flagship scanner, but that quickly changed to a subscription based like everyone is doing now. The Autel is good, but more pricey. I have been using the Xtool A30M dongle which is great, just I want a more powerful unit. BTW I tried the Amazon link you provided, but it's out of stock. I'm leaning more towards this Xtool since I'd get an extra year of updates saving $350. Question you don't have to pay extra money to access and download that function like the Launch correct? I do know you have to purchase a separate xtool key programming hardware separately. Hopefully all the capabilities are free to use on this unit without having to pay to unlock the features. Please let me know if you have an idea when it will back in stock. Thanks again

      What are the subscriptions pricing after 3 years. When will it be back in stock?
      Is the vehicle wiring included? Does it monitor service intervals?
      Does it provide component locations and specs on system things like gasoline pressure.

    • @johnny4713ify

      @@gaewing I've been waiting for it to be restocked so I can check the price. I've seen them on eBay for $1,299 or best offer, but not on Amazon. From what I understand, updates for the D9S Pro cost $358 from Xtoolglobal, but who knows what the price will be for this model in three years? I'd rather save $350, give or take, for that one extra year before upgrading. With Launch, after two years, you're spending $450 with their current yearly subscription on the top-tier Launch X431. If you're someone who always wants the latest and greatest software every year after your free updates expire, it might make more sense to just buy a new scanner every two years, since you'll essentially be spending the same amount by upgrading every year.
      Yes, it does come with a variety of connectors and allows you to save and track data. However, unlike the Launch, it doesn't have the feature where you can download the 'service manual' directly, which includes step-by-step instructions, specs, and component locations. I'm not sure how in-depth they get, but I really like that feature. Of course, you can always get that information from Identifix for $25 or Alldata for $19.99 a month for one vehicle, but it would be great if it were included at no extra cost. Maybe Xtool will incorporate that in the future. 🤷‍♂️
      Please let me know if you find a good deal on this. 👍🏻 Thanks.

    Good day mate. I'm looking to buy a used car in Europe. The problem is that most cars there have fake mileage. I don't know which car yet. If you can tell me which scanner ( which can I buy In Australia ) , can read the right mileage from the largest number of the cars. Thanks.

      In your research have you come across a scan tool that works best with hybrid cars?
      Specifically analysis on both batteries.

    Hi, is this same as D9S PRO with better hardware?

    • @RANDOMFIX
      @RANDOMFIX  День назад

      The Ip919 pro has better hardware. D9s pro has only 4 gigs of ram and no fca but there is more than just that. Look in the official Xtool site for proper information as I don’t want to mislead you. I haven’t used the d9s pro.
