Quite an original concept of a city builder. Have never seen that far away scale before, most city builders are Sim City or closer to neighborhoods or individual buildings. This is more like city district and politics and only really big buildings. I thought for a second it was a mobile game at that scale, but the mouse is visible. I'm not sure if there is enough depth to the actual city building but I am interested learning more about it.
You should check out manor lords which is another builder but with actual RTS. It's coming this 26th if I'm correct. Another one is Frost punk 2, another city builder I'm looking forward to. I also saw news that another city builder just arrived on steam and released discreetly.
@@quackcement cheers mate! I'm excited to build my city from the ground up then let the citizens decide what jobs they want. I heard citizens there actually have autonomous AI. It's also a race against other kingdoms.
I remember my first history teacher explaining that every city is built on a town that was built on a village that was built on a camp. Don't think I've seen that idea represented in a game like this before. Also very excited with how more games builder games are including the micro-politics of civic groups and factions. It's easy to make a strategy on objectively correct choices, but peoples subjective preferences and beliefs throw a major wrench in the works.
Is an German translation in planning? I would be able to play it in English, but I think for me and many other players it would be good to have their native languages to fully understand all mechanics...
I'm just guessing that Margaux finished acting school, got a job doing historical tours for tourists around Paris then eventually landed her role as a game designer at 5pm
I like the look of the game. I’d like to see post-release gameplay before making a final decision. Unfortunately, companies like EA, Sony, and Paradox Interactive have kind of tainted the rest of the market with their sales decisions. I am hopeful for this game.
Paradox games are generally really good though...sure, the DLC schemes are bad, but they give a really good product nonetheless. Stellaris is the top space 4x for a reason, Hoi4 is the top WWII grand strategy game for a reason... etc
Please include the Byzantine Empire / Byzantine architecture in the game. It would be nice to reconstruct/recreate Constantinople in its glory days even if its only in a game.
Intéressant, le concept est original et se démarque pas mal de la concurrence. Je vais surveiller ce projet de près avec plaisir 😊 On croise les doigts pour votre équipe 🤞
Looks really cool! But unfortunately for me, that whole "through the ages" concept is a dealbreaker for me, I want a game to immerse me into a specific setting...

I think you oversold the ‚historic‘ aspect. Never have there been medieval castle in a city with a greek temple. I also wonder if you can zoom into the city. It‘s never seen from close up
@@muhi4u the Pantheon in Rome is still intact, because it was used as a church and therefore maintained. The Colosseum is ruined, but still there. With 4 medieval-founded castles in Rome: Castel S.Angelo, Quirinale palace, Castello Orsini built upon the theatre of Marcellus, and the Vatican which is a walled city-palace. There are other examples outside of Rome as well of course. Ancient buildings didn't remain intact because they weren't used and therefore it made more sense to build upon their structures or recycle their materials. Or the cities were abandoned or destroyed, which is out of the scope of this game or coincides with losing. If anything, they could add a visual decay effect to buildings that have no functional continuity, but simulating anything else happening to them would be quite convoluted other than a headache to implement
J'aime bien les graphismes, et en plus c'est français ! Je me demande si on pourrait faire plusieurs villes et aller se combattre/commercer avec d'autres villes ?
I don’t know how big a metropolis can be built, but I hope we will have the opportunity to design a truly huge city.
Great, now i have three city builders that's in my wishlist. I love a city builder mashed up with RTS or strategy.

pax augusta: a highly realistic, unbelievably well researched roman city builder
it’s top on my list

Unsure I want to play a game which prevents me from getting a closer look at the buildings

@@TheTempest73 I will certainly get manor lords soon

@@TheTempest73 Yes, I am looking forward to both of those. Farthest Frontier also leaving early access, it's a good time to be a city builder fan.

Looks interesting, as i understand many good mix of features from games like Tropico, Frostpunk, Civilization, etc. Great times for city builders!
Don't know why, but the French accent is very persuasive.
Progress looks amazing, congrats 5PM!
Very interesting from what I see so far
Now that Manor Lords is out, this looks like it's going to be the next Indie city building darling, Can't wait to play it.
Like Humankind but city focused. Love rhe ideas!
This looks like a game I'm going to lose many, many hours to.

The only thing I’m worried about is that the game won’t have the ability to build army and attack other cities
I hope that there would be an option for non autonomous city planning. It would be nice if we can plan and build our own road networks.
God this looks so good, best of luck to the devs!
I could use this do build the cities for my rpg campaigns. Can I use the game in sandbox mode just to make the model of the city and the landscape?
I'm interested. Wishlisted
This is the first time,i am actually excited to play a city builder game.

i hope we can built on the clift...mountain not just flat ground, must be beautiful

I hope there will be a sandbox/endless mode or something which will allow the endless expansion of the city.
We hope to release one before or after the launch, where you'll have the choice to stay in the era you prefer.

It would be great to have different settings like around large mountains or in valleys etc and in different kind of weathers.
hi, looks interesting! when will it be released?
Looks good 💙✨

Dont think you can when you see the way the buildings are placed. It's meant to be a very large but zoomed out thing
Of course there were greek temple during the medieval time. They just were in ruin...
@@Jord_God yeah but in this game the Roman and the Medieval architecture are still intact. That's the unhistoric part.

How do I get it
Sounds promising. Is it going to be available on GeForce Now?
What is the game engine?
Unity

Paradox 2.0?
