I hope you enjoy my top tips on finding true high-quality designer bags! Sadly, spending more doesn’t always mean better quality. Watch next, clearing out my bag collection 👉 ruclips.net/video/P1C0JlOrfTU/видео.htmlsi=lYW74jTgjLJkiM6F
Moynat Paris, founded in 1849, also produces quality handbags that combine hand stitching and machine stitching. Their iconic bags (Rejane, Gabrielle, Gabby) are known to be made by one artisan. Their leather quality is at the level of Hermes.
So much great information in this video! And I have a couple bags from Atelier Auguste, and I agree, the quality and craftsmanship is fantastic, especially for the price point. The new Gabriel bag is stunning, I love the gusseted design!
Are you working with Tanner? I recently found his channel and I love how honest he is about his findings. I didn’t know this much about top quality bags till now. I’ve asked for him to review Lalage Beaumont. After you spoke about them I fell for the look of their bags. Any future collaboration?
Talking about the Dior charm, bought a Dior wallet over 15years ago, it came with the charm which was extremely pretty, the noise didnt bother me at all....however it started to come off after maybe approx 6 months of usage😅....the wallet is still in my cupboard...😅
MARK CROSS is also a former Harness maker similar to Hermes'. It was founded in the mid-1800's in Boston... I have never heard you mention this brand Steph, you should check them out. The pieces are gorgeous!
I haven't bought any luxury handbags (except for one Mulberry bag, if that counts), but I will say there is a wide range in terms of leather quality among similarly-priced mid-range bag brands. I don't care for the look of Senreve or Parisa Wang's leather compared to say, Coach or Strathberry. They look significantly cheaper, imo. I've also heard that Sezane and DeMellier's leather quality are just okay: but for $400-$500, you can definitely find bags with better leather.
I love your teachings, Professor Steph!🧐So helpful. I am a bit confused. My sources say leather ranking is 1)full grain, 2)top grain, 3)genuine, 4)bonded.🤷❣️🌻
What an interesting and informative video. I was happy to listen to your great advice. Although I am from the northern parts of Europe, I have been lucky to spend 12 wonderful years in Italy for my work. I love fashion, clothing, bags, and shoes, and during those years I loved to spend my good salary every single month on beautiful items. Speaking of bags, in Florence I bought so many bags that I was allowed to visit 3 leather factories, where designer bags for the French market were made. Should you ever be able to visit some of them, you might find it more than interesting. Just an idea for a future trip to the only country, where I feel that beauty, style, matching colors, music, food, and love can be so flawlessly appreciated.
This was very informative. I’m so glad you made this video. I love the bag. I have a lamb skin YSL wallet on a chain. I bought it preloved. I also have a Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis, which I bought new. My husband just bought me a Louis Vuitton Reporter bag. It came from an estate sale. And it’s taking me a while to get the musty smell out of it. It smelled inside and out. I did buy some leather wipes and baby wipes. So I’m going to use them on it also. Whoever owned it had a new strap put on it. So that’s nice. And I want to carry it. But I’m not until it doesn’t smell. I wish I had as many as you. But I don’t have anywhere to carry them all. I wonder if you have purchased any bags that smell musty. Because the one I told my husband to buy me certainly did. I think it’s been inside a plastic bag with dryer sheets for a few weeks. First I put activated charcoal and baking soda things, like you put in your refrigerator. I’ve probably had this bag for close to a month. And I’m going to take it out of the bag and see how it smells. And I’m going to clean it with the wipes I bought. I watched some videos on how to clean a Louis Vuitton bag on You Tube to do all that I have done with it so far.
Hi Steph - have a look at Time Resistance. The most stunning full-grain leather and beautiful designs. I've bought a few pieces thanks to a recommendation from Tanner Leatherstein. Take care 🙂
Hi! I’ve been an avid fan of your channel but I do have a question on your sources when it comes to brands that are hand stitched and machine and that does both. Because I have inquired about it with Hermes and the artisans had mentioned that the machine stitching are usually the straps of the bag or watches, and even belts, but they keep the heritage of saddle stitching for their bags. Thank you so much
Hi I’m new to your channel. The video is very helpful thank you. I was just wondering if you are familiar with De Mellier bags and how they compare with the Ateliers Auguste?
I dont care whether a bag is machine or hand stitched to be honest , as long as it's well made. Thanks for the tips Steff, but w air a cheek, Hermes charging all that money and cashing on on all that exclusiveness baloney when they're using a mixture of hand stitch and machine stitch .

Yes it's so very chic isn't it! So easy to wear and style
This was very informative and super helpful. Thank you for taking the time to pull together this checklist 👍👏
Really glad you found it helpful Jamel

Bought the Gabriel and used the code, was loving the Celine 16, but the Gabriel just looks so stunning !
Very interesting and informative. Thank you, Steph. Had to add AA to my wish list. Both of yours are brilliant ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! 💖
I think that microsuede is polyester, like alcantara. If I’m wrong, please correct me.
Thanks for flagging this! I wrongly assumed micro suede was suede. I'll delete that from the video.

That’s what I thought too.
Fantastic and instructive video, thank you!!

❤Thank you so much mam Steph for the very informative presentation
My pleasure 😊

As the prices go up, Aftercare service has become a key decision maker on which brand I purchase.
Yes this is definitely something to consider
Are your LV Capuncine bags hand stitched 🧵?
No I believe they are mostly machine stitched
Loewe puzzle from 2019 is not leather lined. It’s still such a nice bag
Nice bag Steph
Thanks Jeanette 💖
May I ask how tall you are? I wonder if the Gabriel may be too wide for a petite girl?
Hi there, I'm 5'6 for reference
Brilliant 👏
So many designers are now making copies of the Celine box bag now that Celine discontinued it. Is this a coincidence?
Such an amazing vlog. Really enjoyed!
First like and first comment! Good morning Steph!
Yay!! Good morning hope you have a fabulous day 💖

I feel like people that buy luxury are starting to become the laughing stock… 😢
Interesting, why so? And luxury is a very broad word can you be specific?
nasty unnecessary, narrow-minded comment .People can buy what they want with their own money
