'The Happy Wanderer" became a popular British song post-WW2, based off of a Saxon song made by Friedrich-Wilhelm Mueller. The song was adapted into a march and is used by the British Commonwealth nations.

The beginning march before "The Happy Wanderer" is "South Down Militia". This is a nice rendition of the march, and the drillwork is amazing!
But the Hong Kong Police is changing the drills. "We're No Awa' Tae Bide Awa'" and "Happy Wanderer" was replaced by Chinese "March of the People's Liberation Army" (sometimes "Farewell March of the People's Liberation Army") and its own march called "Defend Hong Kong" as the march-off marches as of July 2022.
@@peterha4366 I heard. The British drillwork and marches are better.

RHKPF and RHKAPF, their parent organization is the Royal Ulster Constabulary. Happy Wanderer is a tribute to officers of the Uniform Branch mainly the Beat Patrol Officer AKA the PC or PC(A) on foot patrol.

Can you publish “Great Man「大丈夫」” song that was played by Royal Hong Kong Police bands in instrumental and lyric versions.
The first march was 'The South Down Militia', an old Irish tune.
Sounds quite familiar to a Ulster Royalist march at the beginning

@@Danjori oh no...... I guess I'll have to visit your channel to reminisce. Thank you
@@Jim-nt7xy While they still perform some classic songs like Auld Lang Syne, the majority of British marches have been phased out for People's Liberation Army marches

HK was never so well governed, just like the rest of our empire. Don’t let the A holes denigrate it. 🇬🇧🇬🇧
