This company seems pretty awesome! Its good not to mass produce so they could just focus on spending their money on producing boards with great quality instead of great quantity.

The maple gets sent from Canada to China then boards are shipped worldwide from there, that actually costs less than getting the same maple from Canada to the US and ship worldwide.
Some companies actually use American maple or birch, but they are not allowed to state "Canadian" on their boards.
problem with the maple is that once it gets to china, the humidity and how the veneers are produced, also, QA is skeptical, as-is rip offs. #makeAmericaSkateAgain
Yeah, in theory. In practice I've been using almost exclusively DSM board for the last years and the last longer and chip less than other stuff I tried.
Santa Cruz was also great, but the shape/ concave sucked (many years ago).
French and Spanish wood shops are a bit sub-par if anything, not China, sorry not today, maybe 10/15 years ago, but now... every time I try a non DSM board I end up hating something about it.

how much to customize a deck..?
You multi press your decks, so no two will be the same, do you number where they are in the pile. I may buy a top deck and love it, buy another and it may be a bottom deck and will be very different. We get used to a shape etc.

There's a reason all (expect Powell peralta still in house) use manufacturers, some in the U.S. But most are made in China now. Manufacturers provide it to be cost effective to make a good return, now since drifter isn't a huge company he must either love it that much to not really make anything or is actually just ordering the boards from another manufacter (China) to have make an income. Be wary of ppl that do not show specifics on there website.

The graphics of those tear off in one slide. You might get tired but that is the only way a graphic stays fresh

please try one board per mold i know it's more expensive but it pays off.
I love how people who obviously never in their live did hold a jigsaw gives out tips to professionals. Actually it is 100% the opposite. More decks than 1 actually make the boards stronger as they are pressed out more evenly. The difference to a single mold press is actually simply that the concave varies from the bottom to the top
