He doesn't have a proper seat mould, so he sticks out like a sore thumb. Don't worry by 1986 the drivers head always had to be below the roll hoop and side walls had to be up to his shoulders
1450 actually:D. Show me dyno result. 1350 could be maximum before explosion in more than 5,5 bar of boost. Ra166E had 1200hp in qualy...yes, there are dyno results. And funny is myth about regular block from old sedan. It was based on M10 idea but was totally different block.
BT52 haven't got over 1000hp on qualifying trim. There are a lot of docs. BMW engine of course got over 1200hp or much more but in 1985 and 1986. Brabham and Benetton got over 5 bar of boost and IT provides legendary power like Williams Honda RA166E and RA167E. In 1987 power was lower cause fuel limits. Im 1988 power was lower...in race car less than 700hp.
Imagine this car with it's qualifying engine inside a modern day F1 car with sticker Tyre's bigger wings bigger grip ect you Would almost need a g force suit. Wheel spin was reported at 350 KMPH in this "beast" a power to weight ratio of around 1 hp per 300 grams in comparison Bugatti Veyron is around 1 hp per 3 kg. It's potential top speed must've been phenomenal in qualifying trim
That very car recorded the highest straight line speed by a turbocharged Formula One car when Berger was timed at 352.22 km/h at Monza.
I think Perez did 370kmh in 2016 though

SOunds like a bike motor, love it.
That’s because it’s high revving
Bravo, dude was on it from the get go.
Nice lap👏
Proper! No doubt running reduced boost & rev limit- yet still savage!
I thought this was a kart by the thumbnail
Guess older F1s were basically giant karts lol
those tires are gotdamn wearing out!!!
it's scary how the pilot's head is exposed

V8 turbo?
The B186 had a 1.5 liter turbo 4 cylinder bmw engine that made 1400hp during qualifying sessions. Fuckin ridiculous
