I miss the old on board cameras, not ridiculous ultra wide like today which give a horrible clown perspective and flatten all the corners out. Also miss the old cars, smaller, lighter, twitchier, beastlier and sounded awesome. The tracks all emasculated too. F1 today sucks.
@robbielawson4828 he should have won in 1996, but his engine blew up with a few laps to go... he made up for it winning his 10th and final GP there in 1997 though. He won for Ferrari in 1994 too.

that second chicane was a thing of beauty / insanity. total respect - if f1 could go back to these circuits, and these cars it would be an instant improvement
The tires in the Ostkurve chicken got removed 1991 on Senna's request after the best decision was Balestre's decision. LOL 1992 the whole chicken was changed.
2nd chicane trully insanity and big balls to drive thru it like that. Joy to watch nigel. I also love how gehard just puts his pedal to the metal and goes for it after having his tires in the dirt. He is like screw that i am going for a flying lap. Nowadays the drivers would pull it to the pits right away

There would be no ridiculous 5 sec penalties nowadays if they brought back these high curbs in corners and chicanes. Just broken front wings and bottoms without concentration and consistency and no temptation to cut and no caution to go over the limit because of the ridiculous almost millimetre rules. Just stick with the track.
of course it was a Ligier not checking it's mirrors that blocked Mansell & made him spin. Arnoux & Grouillard were notorious for doing this that year, same when they were being lapped

God that screaming V12 gives me goosebumps!

And they get even better, check out the 1995 412 T2.
The song of the gods indeed
Mansell was unbelievable through those Chicanes at Hockleheim .He was a joy to watch.
I miss the old hockenheim 😭 it always used to be one of the highlights of the year
And Nigel going through those chicanes.
The high speed blast through the forest. I remember Berger winning in 1996, better days.

its true super tight chicane after such an highspeed stretch. they changed it in 92 though.

Il V12 Ferrari del 1989 aveva un suono ... Meraviglioso
Old Hockenheim was my best and favourite track
This was a fantastic track. The cars have a little downforce and were unstable in the chicane
Hands never leaving the wheel. It seemed like magic at the time.
Flying through the shicanes. Good upload!
❤️ v12 der 641 dass schönste Auto ever für mich.
Drivers were fighting the car to stay on the track before racing the others, what an era.
this was the best circuit ever do i miss this track
Mansell had balls of steel unlike the driver's of today miss the car's these old tracks everything
If they had balls of steel they would have to come into the pits for a 10 second stop and go. The rules/stewards don't like 'real' racing.
This is when the driver seats had holes in them to fit the massive balls these drivers were toting.
What an amazing engine sound from these Ferarri's.
