I usually while scanning this leviatha. I will hide immediately between the crystals like Nemo fishes do in a reef (reef there is poisonous, but still shelter is shelter).
@@HeavyLiftGaming also I find seatruck perimeter system very effective once you acquire blueprint. Just a snap before the encounter with a leviathan is making him go away. I wonder how many hp it deals, BC without stasis rifle I won't go out and cut his guts. GOD I miss Cyclops.
My reaction to literally all below zero leviathans (-that worm who has the hot tip, that one scary when not in Mech) slightly startled “oh” “well then”
Me personally I'd bring medkits when going on expeditions like these. Especially when you're gonna be facing leviathans, once it bites you once. That's your only chance. It hits you again and it's game over, medkits can really be run savers
If I’m being honest this doesn’t add up to the fear of being near a reaper without intent to scan it or attack it, below zero just made me numb to the leviathans from the smallest creatures sounding like a big ol leviathan, in the original I still get scared, in below zero it’s never the same sense
It gets me every once in a while. Such a fun game though! Mid September I think I am gonna start some scary games for October. PT, Visage, RE Village. Gonna have to put a towel down on the computer chair.
The sequel is well lit in every area of the game. Nothing quite like the original game, descending into the open ocean and you can’t see the sea floor, then you hear that faint roar in the distance, knowing you are being watched…
Og subnautica in my opinion is the best of the 2 but there were times in this game that I absolutely loved getting a heart attack every few minutes was not one of them XD
Below Zero main issue is the story and that's it's bit too easy compared to the first. It's basically a handholding and all good spots for bases are already taken by fixed bases. If you focus only on exploration and base building this game is amazing. The music in some biomes are better than in first too. Still it's still a lesser of the two.
OG Subnautica nails the horror aspect, and Below Zero nails the exploration aspect. That's how I see it at least. I just wish BZ went deeper. (Spoiler alert), I mean, you get to the deep grand reef, and it's already deep, and then you get to the lost river, and when you think it can't get any deeper, BAM, inactive lava zone, and it manages to get deeper, with the lava lakes. You don't really get that with BZ. You discover the crystal caves, and it's only about as deep as the deep grand reef
I don't think the color of the gargantuan leviathan is canon. That is just a mod the gargantuan in the original game is just a bunch of bones and a skull
First time I saw this guy I started with a PDA warning of a leviathan detected. Then I heard it shrieking. Then I saw a little glowy bit and was like, "Oh, it's still over there, I got time." Then I realized the glowy bit was only a tiny part of it and that it was actually quite close.
First time I saw this thing it BEELINED at me and I said my prayers and shat my pants only to turn out that he got stuck within scanning distance on a crystal.
Idk why but Reapers don't give a crap about me swimming around unless i trigger them, i once had a situation where Reaper destroyed my Seamoth but i managed to scan him, then I'm like: ok I'm gonna kill you for that, i get closer and he just swimming in circles and then started to run from me, i was like wtf you what now, like overgrown peeper or something and not one of the most dangerous predators?
@@HeavyLiftGaming I just immediately turn back and run as soon as I hear the horrifiying scream. Also you can’t see the reaper coming because of the aurora zone’s fog but you can see the che??! leviathan coming from a mile away. @@HeavyLiftGaming yes, use the primary defense upgrade to repel the leviathan's attacks. Meanwhile, ram the truck into the top of his head of the Leviathan over and over again. They still didn't fix the wall clipping thing?! WTF, that big has been around since the beginning of the original Subnautica and they still didn't fix it, even in the sequel?

They usually take a bite then run away giving the player time to escape

Thanks Ruby! 😊
Wouldnt it be easier to kill it first?

Oh no I killed one lol thats a different video. :)

No bigger rush than trying to scan a levi without a stasis gun.
Wait I realized that the shadow leviathan has the same black and red dot pattern as the gargantuan leviathan
Could b distantedly related
I don't think the color of the gargantuan leviathan is canon. That is just a mod the gargantuan in the original game is just a bunch of bones and a skull
More like the opposite.
Tryhard Leviathan was just about to ragequit like a CSGO player "HOW WAS THAT NOT A HEADSHOT" t when he heard you laugh and tried again.

I would love to build a base in the crystal caves, but I can’t deal with a noisy karen neighbour like that
Gotta get that sound system pumping and block him out haha
"Spoke too soon"
and then nothing happens
This guys sounds so friendly
I do try 😄
Im astonished you got out of that
This was such a great moment hahaha.
I just killed all 4 shadow Leviathans with the prawn and THEN scanned it
I hope that this was worth it to survive and scanned the shadow leviathan at the same time.
The reason you didn't die instantly is cuz you had full health they can't always insta kill you but if your hp was lower it would eat you
Not as bad as the reaper!

How not to die and scan and live.
The way I scanned it was at a spoiler point and he destroyed my prawn suit. He couldn’t reach me so I scanned him out of revenge
I honestly forgot the prawn suit was in this one because I never bothered building it
