- This is a Phoenix zoo tour of the animals and exhibits as it is in 2020. The Phoenix zoo is considered one of the best zoos in America with a wide variety of animals located in the Papago Park area. Ticket admission into the Phoenix zoo is 25 for adults and 17 for children and they do offer a military discount. Every Christmas the Phoenix zoo offers an exhibit called Zoo Lights where you can check out the zoo at night.

Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. The reason I’m watching this is because I live in Arizona and love the zoo so much and miss being there
4:55 Is it just me or does the background music sound like the tunes from animal crossing when it was on GameCube back in the day?!?!?! Probably why the music is so relaxing to me... I loved that game!

It's pretty reasonable considering the Phoenix Zoo Is the largest non profit zoo in the country. On top of that they got to care for thousands of animals. Please go and support the zoo its only because of donors and the public that the zoo can stay open. Also, now with Covid things are really hard for everyone and especially the zoo.
@@DJ118USMC That and it's probably a challenge to maintain during the brutal summer where animals are very vulnerable to heat stroke and resources may be pricey.

It appears that Phoenix and Milwaukee both learned how to do a zoo from San Diego. It has much the same look as San Diego, at about half the price. San Diego, when last I read, was the highest priced zoo in the world, but it's "World Famous." There actually used to be a sign by the entrance telling you that it was "World Famous."
lol comparing Phoenix Zoo to San Diego Zoo. Phoenix is great and all, but dude really? Just African Rocks at the San Diego Zoo has a higher price tag than the entire Phoenix Zoo, come on.

How would you rank Phoenix zoo compared to other zoos? and have you guys been to the Sonoran desert museum in Tucson, its pretty awesome.
I like the zoo personally but not sure where it ranks compared to other zoos across the country

The San Diego Zoo is one of the best. The Columbus Zoo is also very good. The Phoenix Zoo looks good too based on the video (haven’t been there yet though).
@@PeakBagger999 Phoenix zoo is actually bigger than San Diego in terms of size. The Zoo has gotten a lot of upgrades and more are on the way. It really is shaping up to be one of the best in the country. It's really cool to see the evolution of the zoo through the years. :)

For the guy who said the animals look bored and un stimulated??? What does that even mean?? Lol this is a early morning in Arizona and they are all just waking up. Trust me these animals are healthy and as happy as a zoo animal could be. I would put our zoo up against any in the world of how our animals are treated.

Looks like not allowed to go in with animals at the petting zoo anymore all you can do is reach over a fence and feed them. That is a change used to be able to go in and pet them. Used to be able to go in and walk up the goats, miniature horses some others. Had planned on going tomorrow but not now since they have changed this. Probably why they don't call it a petting zoo it's read barn now.
To bad we here in Vegas don't have zoo or amusement park for the kids. The only zoo we have is the lion habitat which is not worth it too small for the price, and the amusement park we have is the water parks and circus circus which is also to pricey for the time being there.

Don’t they have insects like scorpions and tarantulas there? If so, I’ll give a revisit to this place a hard pass.

I'm sorry but that's a sad looking zoo...and the animals look bored and un-stimulated. It takes some big ones to charge $ 25 to enter.

It’s a summer morning in Arizona. What do you expect them to be doing? Most are just waking up. The Animals are far from sad and are very well maintained and this zoo is actually one of the best in the world of how animals are treated and is 100% non profit. This zoo has won many national awards. Trust me these animals are healthy and as happy as can be. I have worked here for 14 years and have never seen anything close to mistreatment of these beautiful animals. This is not a circus they are not trained to do tricks lol
