The switch spot is for a toggle switch for the electric over hydraulic pump and cylinder to raise and lower your deflector shoot top on the 54" snowblower
I did the same but i have a long enough power cable to put it on the back also. I have a receiver hitch on both ends. It saved me once at my hunting property
I really like what you did here. Would like to do something similar on the front of my Massey Ferguson subcompact. Thought about it for years but haven’t been able to find any examples until this.
Most folkß get stuck going forward. With the winch on the rear, it makes getting unstuck much easier. If you're using it for other purposes, front is the best place.
During my time in the Marines as a truck driver, I only ever saw forward facing winch ONCE in my entire career (that wasn’t a recovery vehicle). Funny enough it was an old retired HMMWV model sitting in the junkyard.
Nicely done! Did you just leave extra length of wire on the back of the remote plug port so you can still remove the fairing panel when needed w/o removing the port?
Have been searching for a tractor mounted hydraulic winch for either the front or back that would run off of the tractors fluid. 8000 pound or better would be nice. Had anyone seen a bid like that?
Maybe use some flex seal conduit for the wiring. Thinking on something for mine. I have the same winch. Get a red dog kong toy to put behind the winch hook if you reel it all the way back in.
Thanks! I don’t make many videos but thought this may help a few folks if they wanted to install a front mounted winch. I had my buddy weld me up an L shape bracket that line up with the existing 4 bolt holes on the front.
Can you tell me where you got your mounting plate? Maybe a picture of it as well. I'm going to install a badlands zxr 2500 on my 1025. I would greatly appreciate it and thank you
Same battery, no issues with working it with the tractor not running. I also didn't install a battery shutoff for the winch. No issues with the battery possibly draining, but wouldn't be a bad idea in the future.
Putting a winch on the back of a subcompact kills the usefulness. The winch pulls the tractor. I tried my little 2500# winch on the back of my 1025 and even with 800# of weight it pulled it and made my wheels slip. Now that it’s on the front, run through my stump bucket it’s rock solid, looking for a 5000# unit to see how that works.
You did a really good job with this. Nice and clean install. I have thought about doing this with my Kubota L2501. You have inspired me even more.
Appreciate it! I hope the Kubota has a little more space (options) to bolt the relay in.
Very nice man…. Going to get one this weekend!!! Thanks for the idea
Nice clean install, good job. I can see where a winch would be useful either on the front or the back. I may have to think about 1 for my 1025R.
That's cool. Clean install with the port and switch. 👍
Nice clean job. Very impressive. Thank you.
Great video! Thanks for the ideas!

Looks great ! Good job .

It is for the mid-mount mower lift option
Would love to see where you routed the wires. I'm having issues with where to put them. Worried about wires rubbing, shorts, and fires.

It is for a hydraulic auto deck lift kit
That is cool and creative.
Nice Installation!
Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks! There was plenty of wire so that the fairing can still be removed.
Its been two years, is there anything you would do differently? How has the winch held up? I would have loved to seen an install video.
Nice set up. Can you give me a link for the mounting angle bracket you used or did you make it yourself. Thank you.
Thanks! My buddy made me the bracket.
Great information 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That space was for hydraulic mower deck lift button.

Great Video ! What is the mounting bracket you used for the 1025r?

I had my buddy make it. It's just a 90 degree plate that mounts to the front then comes out so the winch has something to mate to.
@cclif001 after I sent this I saw where someone had asked you that. Sorry for the repeat question. I do like the way you set it up. Thank you
Those wires are waiting to get snagged and ripped off. Either way, good luck and thanks for the video. I'm looking to do something similar.
where did you get the mount for the winch nice job
I had my buddy fabricate one.
Did the winch come with the mounting plate?
It does but you will need to fabricate another one to mount vertically to the front of the tractor. I had my buddy make me one.
Does this winch need to cool between pulls?
I've had no problem with over heating
Did you change the battery or alternator?
Same battery, no issues with working it with the tractor not running. I also didn't install a battery shutoff for the winch. No issues with the battery possibly draining, but wouldn't be a bad idea in the future.
Just because others did it differently, how does that make it rediculous?

Some would say mounting the jack/plug on a removable side panel was ridiculous as now you have remove that plug every time you take that panel out.
Huuu Huuu Huuu Huuu Huuu anoying
Kick rocks you waste of space.
