No the doctors didn't fail her, her parents did. The doctors could not have done this without the parents permission. Bro, when I was a teenager, I never think about identity crisis and shit, like how class books talk about teenagers' issues and their hormones. All I think about is, "man, my family is so broke. We got no spending money to do awesome shit." I survived the school years with jamaican patty and starburst and bought $5 tshirts at Family Dollar.
So yea. If these youngsters are thinking about "not being in the right body, I wanna surgically change myself or consume hormone blockers," that just tells me that "wow, money is not an issue to your family. You have enough leeway to think something to feed what you WANT instead of what you need."
Money is the source of evil, whether it's direct or indirect, or passive or hidden. Why did the health care providers agreed to do the elective surgery operation on youngsters? Money. How these youngsters have the option to explore their whims and wants? Money.

Please don’t come in the comments saying what I’m doing is outright wrong. However, I am open to questions.

As far as your response of not feeling sorry for this person Chloe, you may be project your experience of your bestie having an ungrateful trans kid who was willful. Fr, it’s not an issue of “the trans agenda is ruining our kids!”, it’s the fact that the experience of being transgender is incredibly mysterious and unknown due to the discrimination that trans people faced for so long. If someone has experienced dysphoria their entire life and has always felt strongly that they wish they were viewed a different gender and were born a different sex, then I think it’s okay to have them get surgeries earlier than usual (16-18). However for someone like me who’s almost always been confused by their gender, I think it’s best to wait until you’re an adult and have given it lots of thought yourself until you make any big decisions, even with a doctor.

Exactly. There so many cases where the person is nonbinary or genderfluid and think they need to transition to the other gender before coming to terms with who they actually are. I thought I was trans for awhile but after letting it sit and settle, I realized that I'm not trans and was just curious about the possibilities of being the opposite sex.
It's extremely important to let people explore their gender identity properly and not interfere. Showing support=/=interfering and more people need to realize this. (This also goes for sexual identity and lables. People should be allowed to explore themselves to truely understand and appreciate themselves to avoid suppression. Suppression of one's self can be extremely detrimental; often being the root cause of suicidal ideation/tendencies.)

This is why trans people are supposed to speak with professionals to make sure they're absolutely 110% sure they want surgery before they get it. Detransitioners are a very small percentage who didn't think before they acted. It's always best to socially transition before a medical transition or just don't medically transition at all if you aren't sure so it's fully reversible.

    • @bebop2523
      @bebop2523 Год назад +106

Detransitioners absolutely thought before they acted, I have never heard of a detransitioner who impulsively rushed into a surgical transition, there is a process they have to go through to get approved for the surgery. Every detransitioner believed 110% that they were trans and that the surgery is what they wanted and had to talk to multiple professionals to get to that point. They all socially transitioned before medically transitioning.
The common theme with detransitioners is that they were all extremely uncomfortable with their bodies and as a result were diagnosed as dysphoric. What needs to happen is that more of the professionals who diagnose dysphoria and approve people for surgery need to be educated about other reasons why somebody might be uncomfortable with their body, like sensory processing disorders. What happens with these detransitioners is that they are so uncomfortable in their own bodies and they truly believe that it’s their gender that is making them uncomfortable, so if only they could change their gender, they would finally feel comfortable, but then once the surgery happens, they realize that they still feel that discomfort and it didn’t solve their problem. The medical community needs to make it more clear that being uncomfortable with your body is not necessarily the same thing as gender dysphoria.
Here’s my take: I developed very large breasts really suddenly as a 12-year-old girl and everybody in my community basically treated me like I was a slut, as if having big boobs suddenly made me slutty even tho I was a nerdy awkward middle schooler, I hated them, and I wanted to get rid of them because of the horrible way the adults and my peers at my school and church treated me, I begged my parents to let me get surgery to get rid of them, but they wouldn’t do it. If I had the choice to get that surgery to remove my boobs as an underage kid, I absolutely would’ve done it and I would’ve been 1000% sure. I began to wish I was a boy felt like if I lived as a boy I wouldn’t be constantly made to feel ashamed of an aspect of my body that I couldn’t control. It wasn’t until I became an adult and could see through the horrible behavior around me and realized that my body was never the problem, it was the adults around me who failed me as a child and made me feel that self-hatred. But if a therapist had spoken with me around that time, maybe they would have thought I was gender dysphoric, because I absolutely hated being a girl, and wanted to remove my boobs more than anything. I read the DSM criteria for gender dysphoria and I would definitely have fit at the time. I think it’s very telling that the vast majority of detransitioners are FTM who returned to being female, many of them may have been shamed for their bodies as young girls just like I was and then realized only too late that their bodies were never really the cause of the problem.
Of course, gender dysphoria is a real thing and the vast majority of trans people are happy with their transition. I’m not disputing or downplaying that, I just think that the professionals who talk to young women (because women are the vast majority of detransitioners) need to do a better job of zeroing in on the specific reasons why women and girls are made to feel ashamed of their bodies and see how that maybe influencing their desire to medically transition

    Ya Kaiser.
    There’s your problem.
One time I was helping a client get to doctors appointment at Kaiser. She was 90 years old. I got off the bus and went inside to get her a wheel chair. All the wheel chairs were locked up with a cable and lock. When I asked for a wheelchair they refused to give me one. Things began to get a little heated and the woman at reception barked at me. She said she couldn’t give me a wheelchair because then if someone needed one she wouldn’t have one to give. I SWEAR TO YOU THATS WHAT SHE SAID! I explained I had someone who needed one! She screamed “You’re not hearing what I’m telling you sir!” So I shouted back then some doctor got involved and very loudly demanded I LEAVE NOW!
I yelled back at him and walked away without a chair. I had to scour the hospital for a little bit until I found a random chair. Finally was able to help sweet little Mable get to her appointment despite Kaisers efforts to make it as hard as possible.
And that’s just one instance out of MANY! But that one was particularly crazy!
    Ya Kaiser SUCKS!!!!

They actually can't have surgery until, they're adults. You're misinformed. Nobody is pushing their Children to transition. Some people are transgender. Recently, society has accepted social transition for minors... They might have done this before but, it was more private. Hormone blockers are the only medical treatment given to people under 18... It's reversible. The number of people who actually feel being trans/transitioning was a mistake is very low. These are normally private matters. It's actually very difficult to be approved for transgender surgeries: 1. You have to be completely sober. You can't even, smoke cigarettes or have a beer/ glass of wine, once in a while. 2. A therapist has to approve of your housing/ after care plan. 3. You're likely to be rejected if you have psychological problems. | I was rejected for smoking weed 🌲, drinking alcohol, risk of homeless (b/c I was late on my rent), mental health (PTSD), & legal problems. | The approval process is tough as an adult & that's why you have to be mature (18).|

But under 21, it's a totally different situation. No surgery should be performed before 21.

This is why I fully believe that no gender changing surgery should be done before you're old enough to drink. A full psychiatric evaluation should be required before all gender changing surgery. Too many young people are being pushed into these life-changing scenarios and regretting it later. And the fact that our government not only allows this but encourages this is damaging our youth. A full psychiatric evaluation would help in a lot of cases to ensure that nobody is making a decision that they could potentially regret.

psychological evaluations are pretty much required in all parts of the world, but you also have to take into consideration that a big portion of trans people know even before puberty that they are trans. lets say someone knows at 10 that theyre trans, then they have 5 entire years before they can reach the medical age of consent in parts of the united states. theres a lot of consideration going on in peoples heads, trust me, thats why the regret rates are so low :)

@@DTreatz Being trans isn't biological. Wanting to look "more like a woman" means wanting to look like a cis woman, for example. The idea that trans people always envy the sex they weren't born as is wrong. There are a lot of trans people who are perfectly happy with their genitals. This is something people confuse so often with trans people, the surgery isn't a consequence of wanting to be something you're not, it's a consequence of wanting to look more like who you are on the inside. And kids don't know who they are but that doesn't mean that their feelings aren't real in the moment. Personally, kids should have access to gender affirmation. That doesn't mean operations, and to an extent it doesn't mean HRT. There are puberty blockers, that current data from researchers and universities suggests leaves no permanent side-effects, which can stop teens' bodies from changing. I think that's fair enough, it gives them a much easier way to transition when they decide to as adults, without impeding their progress. And hey, if they choose not to transition, it's all fine, no permanent effects.

Chloe is brave and her voice must be heard and shared. Adults should have protected her and given her counselling when she was confused, not given her irreversible surgery.

Why do you want to transition in the first place? Gender disorder can be handled by a therapist, but of course money, lies and trends have got a generation of young people confused and butchering themselves inhumanly.
It's evil what the institutions and advocates of these terrible ideology are doing to teens and children

This is a confusing time. Some argue that their choices should be respected and their wishes should be fulfilled and that include Drs to assist them to it otherwise it is discrimination... Then, when things horribly go wrong, independent adults blame others for their poor choices.

It’s about time someone is making sense in these comments. She uses the word “butchered.” As if this was something done to her rather than with her consent. It’s one way or the other, we let everyone have a choice or no one. If they regret their decision it is no different than plastic surgery or dentures. You chose an unnecessary medical procedure.
