I've been using Parallel, Doubling, and Primal in my wolf/werewolf deck. It's fun flooding the field with wolf doggos

If you want to add a meme to this, Lithoform Engine can make a token copy of three blind mice, which can then copy itself and get copied by all its copies every turn for Exponential Mouse Value. Lithoform Engine can also copy Rhys's activated ability so it wouldn't be a dead card otherwise, it's just a bit too high manacost to be good.
Gotta love the suspense of being like "Okay, I have a million soldiers, if I don't get nuked I win next turn." to play a deck like that! lol

Great video! This is a really cool deck to watch play out. I never realized how powerful the commander was until I saw your strategy unfold.
One consideration you could have added is "Myrel, Shield of Argive" she is probably one of the best token makes i've seen in a while, and in combination with your commander you could fill the board fast

Just made a pretty similar deck with Jetmir, obviously he doesn't need as many finishers since that's his job. I do notice that a lot of people seem to overlook Queen Allenal with their token decks though. Not quite a doubler, but one extra token every time and a huge body is nice.
In my experience she eats removal before getting the chance to make an extra token. So I prefer sticking to cards that are bit more resistant to removal by making tokens right away.
That color coordination is a real nice touch.
The rapid-fire mass-counter sfx is very satisfying.

Jaheira, Friend of the Forest would be fun in this. Also Old Gnawbones, Peregrin Took, the green leyline, the new token tripler, and the gnome barracks land.

I'm missing a couple of the cards for my paper commander, but this looks very solid. My token deck is currently multicolored for some fun stuff from red and blue... but this makes me wanna shift to green/white.
In the match 5 vs. Atraxa, the Vorinclex prevents your wedding announcement from accruing counters, obviously, but does it actually stop the tokens/card draw?
It doesn't. They're separate effects.
Love the deck! Any reason you don't have the WG snow dual land (Arctic Treeline) because of Into the North? Seems a perfect target for that spell, since it comes into play tapped anyway.
It's an option, but would hate to draw it in a key moment when I need an untapped land.

I did, although with so many 4-drops in the deck already I couldn't find room for it.
We're also a little light on Landfall enablers, even Provisioner was borderline.

Hey LVD, this might be kind of a personal question but how easy is it to even remember all of the different synergies through Magic’s history which go into a brew like this?
The extent of my expertise is typing a tribal name into the search bar and just garnishing with a couple of obvious Best-in-Slots, but I can’t really wrap my head around the ability to flip through Arena’s entire archive to recall and/or identify all of the different moving parts
It just takes a lot of time to double check every token card or synergy that doesn't immediately come to mind. Cross-referencing with older lists also helps. I actually forgot to add The Irencrag in the original recording of the intro, so had to redo the whole thing.

If you were able to add black, Kaya also exists as a token doubler, and there are many token effects in black as well.
In Commander you can only add cards to the deck that have a color of mana that's on the commander (or colorless).

Hey Legend why in the First match you wanted to activate rhys ability in response to cathar's trigger. Didn't you have only two tokens instead of 7 or I miss something?
In response to the +1/+1 counters being placed, not in response to the tokens being made.
That way our tokens we get from copying with Rhys will also receive the original +1/+1 counters. Unlikely to make a big difference, but it would be the optimal sequencing.
Historic Brawl, yes! The best format for the free to play casual player. No PTW necessary like Standard
What would you say about King Darien as a bit of sweeper protection? What would you swap out for it?
With so many sweeper either bouncing, exiling or giving creatures -X/-X it's not very reliable.

Would Basri be a decent consideration? Thinking about replacing Provisioner with it.
Never really liked Basri as a tokens card, since the -2 doesn't work well with existing tokens.

Tribute to the world tree would work great with all the 1/1 tokens making them all either 3/3 or 4/4 and with primal vigor and doubling season also doubling counters it would turn them into 5/5 or 6/6
The triple green manacost is a little prohibitive for this deck if we want to consistently play it early, but the effect can be nice.
Is there room for iridescent hornbeetle in this?
Don't think we generate enough +1/+1 counters for that to be worth it.

Im shocked that Queen Allenal of Ruadach didnt make it into this deck.
Queen looks good on paper, but in practice it gets removed before making any extra tokens.

Why no Finale of Glory? With just a single doubler you can get 40+ tokens!
Still need to cast it for X=10 or more to get the Angels. I prefer token makers that are more efficient at low mana costs, since we'll be activating Rhys as soon as we get to 6+ mana.
No Ghalta and Mavren for the second mode?
At that point we can just activate Rhys and achieve more or less the same result.
Ghalta doesn't help us repopulate after a sweeper the same way a card like Hornet Queen does.

Rhys was my first commander when i started playing magic. Still one of my favorites but i never play it anymore cause managing the board in paper was just too much. Cathars crusade being the absolute worst
Intangible virtue didnt make the cut?
It's not always enough to close out the game as a finisher, it doesn't ramp and it doesn't produce tokens. So it's a bit in an awkward spot where it seems like it would be great in the deck but in practice falls a little short. If we had to build a 150-card singleton deck then it would definitely make the cut, but it's not quite streamlined enough to make it in this build.

Commander needs to get added to arena. That would be awesome.
I think that sounds better than it would actually be. If you were playing with friends it would be fun, but playing a four player game against strangers all playing the most powerful cards/combos in existence since they all cost one wildcard sounds like a nightmare.
@@soybomb777 Arena doesnt have all the crazy combos. The issue would be ppl conceading turn 1, 2, 3, etc just because 1 land drop was missed and they didnt draw their entire combo from the start
@@TheRealSAFN right I'm working under the assumption that they would add a bunch of those cards as well if they implemented commander on Arena to get people to spend more money/wildcards like how they've done with Explorer/Historic anthologies. I imagine one player doing a long combo, then player three roping/conceding. It could easily take five minutes before you get a turn again

Not to mention how obnoxious it would be to actually PLAY with all 4 people still in play. It would take FOREVER with priority being passed to everyone in the game.
I can just imagine going to sac a fabled passage and having to wait for all 3 other players to pass priority before I can do it.... Insufferable.

It was a consideration, but sadly the Food doesn't get doubled by Rhys, only by the other doublers.
