There was a time - zendikar rising standard to be specific - where turn 1 temple of deceit was enough to cause a scoop (dimir rogues was the culprit lol)
That second match was so satisfying. Atraxa deck really didn't think you had anything, they were probably like "mono green.... to easy" *yawn*, then in one turn you got it dude. Haha GGS
Mad respect to that last opponent for trying to make Persistent Petitioners work. Unfortunately, they were not granted justice against their adversary today.
Been wanting to build this deck for a little bit, decided to after watching this video and man has this deck blown away my expectations, soooo good! Much better than my nissa who shakes the world deck because the matchups for radagast aren't NEARLY as brutal
I’m pretty sure that exiling Radagast with Cemetary Prowler wouldn’t give the discount if you sent it back to the command zone, since it’s no longer exiled by Prowler.
I've been playing Radagast in an alchemy temur deck, and as someone who almost exclusively plays control, I know its the worst kind of card to deal with.
yup, ramp is ramp is ramp. Boring. Naturally, the absence of blue makes mono-G ramp slightly less annoying than Simic, but I swear 50% of my matchups are against g/x big stuff decks. Shame.
Built the deck myself with just a couple of cards changed. Went 0-8. Would have loved some words of "this is not a competitive deck" for expectation management.
Personally did quite well with the deck, even outside of the recorded games. Don't be afraid to mulligan slow hands, you get a free mulligan after all.
There are precisely two mono-G brawl decks; Elves, and this one. Radagast is a good choice for commander, same as Sevala or that Kaldheim squirrel, because the card advantage addresses the one obvious weakness of such decks. But my God, I am so bored of playing against mono-G in brawl. I just don't understand why people want to build these decks, when stompy is functionally identical in every format on arena. You'll mostly lose to control, beat (non green) midrange, it's a coin-toss against aggro. But you're driving every interesting midrange deck out of the format. Dull, dull, dull.
I doubt there’s a card that caused more avatar explosions than Craterhoof Behemoth.
Island.
I was gonna say Okon or Ragavan, but they haven't had nearly as many games to their names!

Tbf, Craterhoof is justified avatar explosion.
I've seen Avatars explode after casting Saw It Coming. The first spell I cast in a game.
You should play Phyrexian Vindicator more often 😁 lots of decks have no answer so they just lose on the spot and give up 😂😎

the joy I felt watching that crater hoof top deck! that etali game was starting to get interesting haha. Great as always
"So play craterhoof and that should just end the game..." yup! How many times have I had this exact thought in my head playing green?🤣😂🤣😂😅
Love this deck...play it on arena and paper magic. Mono green doing mono green things
Looks sweet! So much value.

great as always, and excelent content as well! Love you legendVD!
Much appreciated!
Friday? Playin commander with the boys tonight? Fresh LVD hBrawl video to watch? Now that's a lot of value.
Yessss!!!! More LotR Historic Brawl!!! You sure are having fun making these and we love watching em! Keep up the awesome work Luca!!! 😊
I never get tired of the subtle shade on Alchemy hahah.
"get in a nice attack" 😆
I don't always watch Legend's vids, but when i do, i make sure to leave a like just for the neatness of presentation alone.
'gotta discard to hand size, thats how much value we're generating"
deck list looks very fun :)
Funny how Vivian and Nissa both had moments where they prevented drawing a card with Radagast (Beast for Craterhoof, then Elemental for Cavalier)
Super fun deck!

I have a similar deck using vivien monsters advocate as commander
MOM, LEGENDVD BRAWL VIDEO DROPPED DONT DISTURB ME
Mom leaving you alone so you can watch his new video is great value
@@dickdeoreoreading this comment provides a lot of value
Definitely could use a Reliquary Tower in here! Super sick deck. Might convince me to build mono-green in commander...
let's go the only good green card from LOTR limited finally getting a chance to shine
*Last March of The Ents*
Ya forgot about Menagerie Curator, a 2 cost mana dork that draws you a card whenever you cast a creature spell with a type not in your library
I excluded alchemy cards, so it didn't make the cut for me.

Good point!
29:00 How come the creatures from last march of the ents didn't get plus 1 counters of Henge?

@@LegenVD Right you are.
Using Blizzard Brawl on a Snow-Covered Forest is worth extra style points.
Finally! A new brawl deck 👏. Is it gonna be Brawl Friday's?
It’s really frustrating how you consistently see the same 5 or so commanders played in 80% of brawl games.
Wheres menagerie curator? Best card! Wish it could be a Commander 💔
Mention it at the end of the deck tech.
Ragavan The Red
Think this deck would transfer to paper commander pretty well?
Very likely. Volo has very similar deck construction with an additional color, so I personally would brew that instead with Radagast in the 99.
Why is match 1 always against Etali?
😊
