    This is a great video. I'm from Niagara. It's a shame I didn't see this video before doing mine, you did a really nice job, this video needs better tags so it comes up when people search mk4 catch can install.. Great video man.

    Excellent video, very informative. I liked and subscribed too since I'm going to be doing something very similar. I give you credit for tackling this and filming it, not exactly an easy thing to do. I'm not a professional either, rather a dedicated amateur, but as Einstein said: "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."
    I love the MKIV VW platform and will be creating my own channel for it. I will be installing a black powder coated 42 Draft Designs ultimate oil catch can along with A/N fittings into my 2005 GTI 1.8T and will film the installation. I bought a pair of Spulen brand pre-made hoses from USP Motorsports along with their drain kit and various -10 A/N fittings, mounting brackets and other parts from 42DD. The Spulen hoses are 32" in length and come with 45 degree A/N fittings on them already. I'm going for a stealth look on my catch can installation but am really looking forward to deleting the emissions crap. Once I get a garage that will unlock all of the other mods, but until then I'll do what I can. Good luck with growing the channel and continuing to modify the car. I'll watch more videos and see what else you've done.

    This is an awesome video. Thank you so much for it!
    I'd like to know the part number for the first two fittings you show and if I can get them on eBay or Amazon, I live in the Caribbean so I'll have to order them online.

      Its just reflective heat tape from DEI. Cut it accordingly and place it on the shield!

    So I have a few questions... how is this for you? How is it in the winter? As I am from Canada too. Do I have to empty it every night so the water doesn't freeze in the winter?
    I have a stock 2016 VW Jetta 1.4L TSi, how would I install it in that? As I was thinking of getting it for my car.... would it even be worth getting an oil catch can for my car since it's stock?

      I think its always good to make sure you have clean air going back into the system. As far as the freezing stuff, I never ran the car in the winter as it went into storage so I can't confirm if it would need to be empty or not. I did sometimes have some condensation in the can, so I made sure to wipe it out before starting! Hope that helps!

    Does this basically remove the need for the pcv valve?

    • @doryokustreetworks
      @doryokustreetworks  Год назад

    Very nice explaining everything, your not using the regulator valve "hockey puck" at the turbo inlet pipe are you? Just a straight open fitting?

    • @doryokustreetworks
      @doryokustreetworks  4 года назад

      Thanks for the reply, It is a straight open fitting. The hockey puck is completely removed! Hope this helps!
