Disclaimer there is more to this video that you should do if you feel the need to. Instead of running the filter on the catch can you can run a hose to the turbo inlet. I have seen it done both ways and I haven’t had any problems with the way I have it set up in this video. But some people might suggest the other way it’s entirely up to you how you do this also if your new to the channel and like the content consider subscribe to help the channel grow.
You are correct that’s how I should have done it but it’s working good the way it is and haven’t had issues yet. I’ve seen people do it multiple ways this may be wrong but it doesn’t affect the car and if it did the parts for these cars are abundant
I bought all of the exact same things. And he missed a few key pieces you need the breather valve on top of the catch can unless you run it thru a T joint and back to the inlet pipe. You also have to block a hose you take off that he doesn’t say. Which is located under ur intake manifold.

I did end up putting a plug rather than I filter. I don’t own the car anymore but it’s still out and about. The reason I used the filter was because of some forums I read but some buddies on fb informed me otherwise so that’s why I ended up using the plug.
People! You don't need to connect it to the cold side of the turbo. Learn how positive pressure releases. I don't want that yellow shite in my turbo and intake.

have you experienced oil leak coming from pax side of the vehicle? Not related to the Catch Can install although it will come in handy soon.
I haven’t had that happen with my car but could be quite a few things it just depends on if it’s an excessive leak or slow leak

does this cause any pressure issues with the engine because removing the pcv / check valves?
Rather than running the filter you just have the catch can blocked off because it is a closed system

What about the hockey puck piece the pipe.originally come from? Can't just remove the pipes and leave.it.
You plug the hole. The catch can replaces the hockey puck.

No offense,but you did this wrong,you have to have a vaccume source as oil will not run uphill,it needs to be connected into the turbo inlet(cold)side

That piece you pulled out is part of a t with another hose that goes to it. What did you do with that hose?
Same as the hockey puck at the back of the engine..... pikey comes to mind.
