Merry Christmas from the US! Beginning of this year I booked a trip to Tokyo with a friend for March of 2025. It'll be our 2nd time in Japan. Then in June I suffered a knee injury that lead to surgery and nerve damage. Recovery has been slow, but I've been making progress. So my goal is being able to walk without a cane and do stairs by the time I leave for Japan! (I've got 12 weeks!) Also thank you! Your channel is one of the things helping to keep me motivated in getting back to Japan!

I’ve never seen someone open gifts in a pikachu pj, that’s an original for me 😂 2025 goals: keep traveling, I enjoyed Japan for the first time and will go again for my birthday! That and keep learning new recipes for meals/desserts.
On my second trip to and residence in Japan, I arrived on Dec. 12th. Thankfully, I didn't feel lost and spent a good deal of my spare / non-working time getting reacquainted with Tokyo. I was too wrapped-up in doing so to get 'holiday blues.' In fact, it was quite the opposite because I was beyond excited being back in Japan. My employer hosted a Christmas Party at Keio Sky Beer Garden-a couple of blocks from the Seibu-Sinjuku station. As I already was well acquitted with my co-workers from our San Francisco headquarters office, we genuinely had a blast. No one cried in their beers with holiday blues. LOL ! MERRY CHRISTMAS, Sarah !
