i work at hobby lobby. I just bought my materials and I just bought the crochet by the roll. it's in the sewing section. I was able to measure on my body
How do you sew the crochet material together to make the waist band?

Here's a tip! If you are using elastic measure youre waist make it about 5-6 inches shorter bc as you are putting the tool on it stretches the elastic and it will stretch about 4-5 inches
I use to make my own costumes when I danced years ago (don't ask how long ago, haaaa), and have made a few tutus (I love your no-sew version!) A couple things that are also cute with these is to make them in 2 or 3 layers with each layer in a different color, as well as cutting edges of the pieces in a pointed or scalloped edge to resemble a flower.... and finally, you can glue on large sequins here and there like giant shiny polka dots.

Love your videos! Just a tip I've found when I was making 6 tutus for a family 5k... When cutting the tulle, you can wrap it around a piece of cardboard that is just a little bit longer than the length of the skirt. Several layers + 1cut = several strips at double length. (12 inch cardboard would yield 24 inch strips)
I made one just like this for my daughters field-day back in April, but the idea of using a headband that has the spaces to pass the tulle is awesome... much better and stylish than the elastic band.

I already did this. It is super easy. For more ideas try braiding, knotting, or beading.

you can buy the stretchy band by the spool and measure it to your waist and sew the ends together. i use yarn to sew it together but you can use anything.
+LittleRainbow42 thank you :) those headbands she uses are perfect for her tiny waist or for a child, but I am a little bit bigger LOL

Take fabric softener and water mix spray on with a spray bottle gently pull pieces as you spray the mist that will tame down the tool and also remove the static as well

I tried it and it worked I used the same head band you used except I customized a little bye buying the headbands like that but with a little pink bow on the front and it turned out great thanks.
